Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

So, I managed to snag a half-day reservation on a cabana for next week. They were sold out last time I called. Any feedback yay or nay regarding Cabana 3? Thanks.

We had cabana 3 twice and loved it, if we were to request in the future we would choose 3. It was close enough to the pool that you could see the pool well which I liked because it is a nice view, but it wasn't so close that you were right on top of the pool and everyone else at the pool if that makes sense.

Just booked for my family of 6 at YC for May 17 to 22. 3 Water View rooms. Got a pretty nice deal with the bounceback mailer we got two weeks ago. First time at YC/BC!

Anyone have experience with the water view rooms? I need one of the rooms to be the two queen variation. The other two, kings would be nice but it doesn't really matter. Are odds in my favor for that happening?

I can’t help with king rooms, but we have had 2 awesome water view rooms with queens: 1055 (had daybed in November 2017) and 3161. Both had beautiful views and easy “secret door” access, but the hallway/wing for 3161 has become our favorite YC location ever. Breathtaking view overlooking rental boat dock and Boardwalk beyond, quick and easy elevator access, quiet dead end and steps from fire exit stairwell (aka secret entrance).

Edited for clarity.

Awesome, thank you! Was the 1055 two queens with a daybed then?

Yes. 1055 daybed. 3161 did not have one last December. 1055 is in a longer bank of rooms, so I assume you would have a better chance to get the rooms near each other. It is also the farthest water view bank from lobby. We often walk outside to get to lobby as a quicker travel method.

Thanks for the info! Kings are less important than getting at least one room with the two queen variation, and being all together would be nice. (Last years Poly trip they put us all in different buildings???) Sounds like a good area for me to request.

I would make it clear your first request is to be together. I wouldn’t worry about the 2 queens, as there are so many more queen beds than king so if you request to be as close to each other as possible the odds of kings seem really low to me. If you want to then put a location request as well you could, but that is harder to honor than just 3 rooms together. I would probably press my luck and go ahead and ask, but I’ve also had plenty of trips where I got a room nothing like my requests. We have had 3 rooms all in a row before, but also have not had them all in a row. To be fair to Disney, when they weren’t all in a row usually the same top categories weren’t booked, which makes it harder to be close.

Would love to hear any recent dog experience at the Yacht Club. Any tips or advice?
I saw two small dogs being walked in the grassy area between the YC and quiet pool. Those are the only dogs I saw.

We are sensitive to the dog-friendly policy because two of my kids are allergic to dogs. However, I called and made a note on our reservation and didn’t have any issues.

I booked my first stay at Yacht Club - a quick solo trip - from Dec. 15 to 18.

Because it's a solo trip - and because we are doing 4 rooms at GF Main Building - in Jan - I chose the Standard View.

Are there specific room requests I should put in? I'd like a balcony to enjoy my morning coffee and I *think* I want to be close to the lobby.

THANKS in advance!! I'm excited to check out a new resort!

Can anyone tell me if the mini fridges at the beach club have a freezer compartment in them? Or are they just refrigerators? Thanks!

@natebenma where do you find the gorgeous images? I am so bad at this stuff-I wanted something gorgeous and suitably disney/halloween for you but to no avail which is why you got the very understated message above. The sentiment is the same though - have a wonderful day!

I do a lot of searching for images on the internet and I save them all on my computer! Or I steal good ones that friends post on the internet.
