Bumping this up....I have been searching for new news and found nothing.. has anyone read or heard any more rumors? I did read where someone posted they might not take reservations yet, it just might be a walk up restaurant at first..that is the way they did with Skippers Cantina in MK then eventually it went to reservation. I hope they dont do that way . I think it would be a mess trying to get in with long lines , but what do I know.

I posted that as a reply to someone who said they may not open by the end of the year since we have not seen ADRs yet. New WDW restaurants (not the ones that are just “rethemed”) don’t always open ADRs before the restaurant opens. Often they open and run it without ADRs and then open ADRs. This allows them to work out some kinks without a full house, etc. Recently, that’s how Takumi Tei went. But also I remember back when both Skipper’s Canteen and La Hacienda opened, they both opened without ADRs until they worked out kinks and then they opened ADRs.

Edit to add: We won't know how it will happen until they announce an opening date. At that time, they'll likely let us know if and when they will start taking ADRs. They will need to get their MDE page up and running, so it will not be a sudden thing. We'll see the page "there" before the ADR dates go live.

Thanks for posting that information... We will be there first week of Feb. I would like to think it will be open by then...But we are talking Disney .. Disney will do what Disney wants..Dont get me wrong.. we love Disney, always have and always will!! Its a love hate relationship

During our trip over Labour Day weekend, we did the Ultimate Day of Thrills tour and our guide pointed out the new space themed restaurant that didn't looked like it was remotely close to finished, the exterior wasn't even fully closed off. I told her I had heard a rumour of end of year and she was surprised by that and said that did not seem likely at all and felt it was definitely a 2020 opening. She had no specific info though, so you can probably take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah from what I am seeing I am not thinking it will be ready in Jan 2020 then again I could be wrong and Disney can do magic and make things happen fast.

I’ve said the same from countless vlogs that I’ve seen. Was watching a live stream last week and the exterior still isn’t even closed off. I would be surprised if it even opens in time for Festival of Arts.

omg, I remember eating these. They did not taste good!

I'm losing hope. I realized that "this winter" does not necessarily mean this year. argh. I'm losing hope this will be open by the last week of December.

Yes, winter can be up until March 20th. Gotta love a Disney time window!

Lol I'm not going till March so I'm hopeful by then but winter doesn't start till December 20th not sure why everyone was insisting that meant a December opening.

Well, the info I read said "winter 2019", which would have to mean 12/20-12/31/19 right? But who knows if that was an accurate statement! Doesn't sound good based on what others on this thread are saying :(
