Finally, anything else I should be doing. I am considering the VISA gift card for the discount it gives. I think my inlaws have it and I might just ask them to add my wife as an authorized user. I have to look into it.

Are you talking about the Disney Visa? If so, then do not do this. If adding her as an AU you might as well get your own for the Sign up bonus, both will take up a 5/24 slot. But there are better cards out there and sounds like you are doing good with Chase at the moment. The other thing you can do to bring your Disney price down is to buy Disney gift cards at a discount, or with your Chase Freedom with 5% categories or the Chase Ink Cash at Office stores for 5% if you have it. See the Disney Gift card thread for ideas on how to get them at a discount.

Disney has deluxe inside staterooms and regular ones. Deluxe has a split bath (toilet and sink plus tub and sink). Regular inside doesn't. For a family, deluxe is better. (And I personally shower in the fitness center after exercising but I'm a bit nuts!).

There are 9d rooms (cheapest ocean view) in the front of the ship with slanted walls that are really big. The layout is a bit interesting (you may not like it) but they are often priced almost the same as a deluxe inside. I think they are on 6, 7, and 8 and there are only two on each floor (not 9ds, but the big 9ds).

And I hear you. First Disney cruise we booked we booked a FL resident rate about two weeks before sailing. Now I book opening day. But the prices generally go up and up and up. My Spring break 2013 cruise on the Fantasy doubled from when I booked it.
This is very informative, thank you for sharing!

CIP. I got one and have a really, really low "business" income. And exactly the same with my DD. I'd go with the CIP since the SUB is so high.
ok...looks like it's general consensus to go for CIP. I think I'm anxious about that one b/c of the high spend. Buttttt.... I can likely work something out where I partially hit MSR with him (and then like the mean mom that I am take some of those points!) I forget, how di y'all with kids work that out fairly?

I wanted to share with y’all!!! My dd19 got accepted for the DCP! Heading down in January :jumping1:
YEEESSSSS!!! YESSS!! YES!

Has anyone heard of a similar app / website for keeping track of movies watched? DH and I watch tons of movies, but I can't ever remember their names - this would be great for that! And for keeping track of what we're still wanting to see!

I think imdb has a way to do it too. I've noticed when looking stuff up there's a thing to click if you've watched it.

Thanks! I'm trying to decide if I even want to pay the shortage or just let it roll over into the new payment. My mortgage payment will go up $14 if I pay the shortage, and $36 if I don't pay the shortage. I don't guess it really matters since the amount going to principal is the same.

I almost always pay mine but it's normally less than 30. One year I got $ back, since then I've had to pay. But I like to keep my payment under 400 so I don't have to remember what it is and just pay 400 or 415 each month.

I love pretzels and this is on my list for a future trip. The newest pretzel I am trying in October is from Pandora with the beer cheese. It is over $10, but I think it will be worth it for the size lol

I don't like beer cheese. The pretzel at top of the world was good too but it has beer cheese. I like the cheese at baseline better which oddly isn't beer cheese. Pretzel was a tiny bit better but totw might just have been heated too long to make it a bit crunchy.

I was going to have my DD do some Venmo to help herself out, but she ended up meeting it herself with help from other DD. Other Dd has a trip to Ecuador she had to pay so she let DD charge it and then PayPaled her the money while it was a Discover bonus. Also her scholarship got delayed from studying abroad so she paid for tuition and then University reimbursed her after scholarship got straightened out. So she happened to open hers at a perfect time. I am not sure how I would do it if I had to help. That is why I like the venmo idea, it costs them some money, but not as much if you are taking 3/5 or more of his bonus.

I'm going on my first DCL cruise in April and DD will be 4. I didn't want to do it any earlier than that.

We were looking at March and she’s be 4 in early June. The problem isn’t kids are 5 years apart. So by the time she’s 4, my son will be almost 9. And I’m a little concerned about the getting too cool for Disney age. The big age gap makes it hard to balance.

I saw what looked to me like a really good deal on the DVC rental store site...SS standard studio 5 nights $793 Jan 3-8 in case that would help anybody out for early January.
I might have to ask Dh about this one. We’ve never stayed there and that’s a pretty good price. We will be getting back from Iowa soon before that though so might not work out

I would personally ask/see if it was a preferred room category. Congress Park is under refurb and looks pretty nice.
