CVG (Cincinnati)....but Columbus isn't far either....about 30 min further. That gives me hope!
Does CVG fall in CST instead of EST? I think the issue has to do the necessary connections and flight times. The only date coming up is 12/25 and that takes 10 hours and a check of planes in FLL and a stop in Chicago. If you don’t mind the extra 30 min drive that really looks like your best bet.

this is hilarious.... how do you keep track of how many books you read in a year? I'm too busy reading to bother....my Dsis writes down each and every title in her journal.... I just end one and start another b/c I can't go to sleep on the ending..so even if it's just one page I have to start the next! I always read at night in bed.....
I use goodreads. I would never keep track on paper lol. I just search the book, put it as read, and mark the date I finished it. It’s also nice to mark books I want to read in the future. There’s a reading challenge for the year so it tells me how many I’ve read this year and what my goal was

To those into investing... Schwab is going commission free. Even for options. Starts Oct 7.

I had moved one account over to Chase YouInvest to experiment with the platform and bank the year of commission free trades but that’s done for me and their platform is crap. I’ll eat the transfer fee to close that out and go (back, lol) to Schwab. Glad I never closed the account I transferred the assets out from at Schwab lol!

ETA: this is a serious play in the brokerage wars. I wouldn’t necessarily move accounts to a Schwab immediately if you’re intrigued by this as others may follow suit. I already had transferring/closing this YouInvest account on my radar.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I’m glad we have our refillable popcorn bucket that we can refill for $2
Eh. Prices up $.25 on most stuff. Up to a $1 on booze. Annoying but doesn’t feel any more gougy than before to me.

Something to watch out for: I bought a churro last trip but the menu only listed churro + choc sauce. Everyone before me ordered that. I asked for a churro without chocolate sauce and the price was normal churro price, not the elevated one on the menu that included sauce. I really wonder how many people want the sauce vs think that’s the only way it’s sold...

I’m not mad about how much the price went up but $7.25 for a pretzel is pretty extreme in my opinion.

New AmEx offers up for 10/1

Staples spend $100 get $25

Olive garden spend $50 get $10? x2

MGM offers again for Vegas and other destinations

Sorry on the move and going from crappy memory... Oh Sam's club 4x MR points offer too... Check your cards! :)
Thanks for the heads up. I got the staples and Olive Garden plus Bravo.

I have never used the 3 digit code. I have always used the 4 digit code on the front of the card.
Me too. Always use the 4 digit code.

I’ve found the prices just as high at sporting events..hockey, baseball etc...and they don’t let you bring in your own food....so yea $7.25 is high but at least we can bring our own food into the parks if we don’t want to pay it

I'm an end-of- the-line childfree Gen Xer, throwing around my disposable income on pretzels and glittery Mickey ears. I will say DCL priced me out for winter 2021. Good grief already.
Ugh we were looking at dcl for early March 2021. We’ve never cruised before with dcl, so I have a request for quotes in.

I was looking at a 7 night on the fantasy or a 4 night on the dream. How bad is the price gonna make me want to puke?

Going to start stopping at Sams on the way in and stock up on $1.00 pretzels. Maybe even sell them for $4.00. :rotfl2: New biz?

Benefit enrollment went live today and we now have two HDHP to choose from...

2? Are they really different from one another?

best chase 'beginner' card (s) -ds has BoA and BCE- wants to get into travel points etc. has own small biz, but not high income (it's p/t) I know a Freedom or FU is a no brainer...but turning it into travel is the key...which is smartest - begin with a freedom- and then move to CSP? unsure if there's a 'low level' biz option that would work here better...TIA

CIP. I got one and have a really, really low "business" income.

I think the CIP would be easier to get than the CSP or Freedom. DD got a $5000 limit on her CIP and a $500 limit on her Freedom Unlimited, same income.

And exactly the same with my DD. I'd go with the CIP since the SUB is so high.

I always do pretzel no cheese for myself! 🥨

I just took DD3 to see Peppa Pig on stage this weekend. Popcorn and pretzels were in the $7 range. We went with the $3 bag of Doritos.

Got my transfer underway. Really handy I never closed that Schwab roth lol. I'll eat the $75 fee from Chase so that hurts but I knew I'd have to pay that if it didn't work out with them going in.

Wanted to remind anyone who does end up transferring brokerage accounts around to watch for 2 things:
-it can take a week to transfer your cash and securities so if you think you want to make trades in that account wait until you see a week you won't have any activity
-you'll probably pay a fee to the broker losing the assets, you might pay one to the broker gaining the assets. In my case I know Chase will charge $75 (Schwab charged me $50 when I moved assets from them last year). The broker gaining the assets might charge a fee. Schwab isn't charging a fee (and Chase didn't charge a fee when I put assets in).

I'm not running an ad for Schwab I swear lol. Just laying out some info for those who might not know/need a refresher on transferring brokerage accounts.
