Is there typically a wait for the KTN? I walked out of the interview with all of ours. He wrote them all down for me. Just curious.

We had letters that we presented at the interview. As we left, the agent said, "oh this is your KTN," and circled it. I don't know if the procedure has changed since then, though. It sounds like it might be different now.

Well, I redeemed another 160K MRs (leaving my MR balance quite anemic). DH finally committed to our going on a Baltics cruise (that's already been scheduled but I wasn't sure we'd actually go) next August. So we'll be flying DTW-CDG-CPH in Delta One (biz) and back CPH-JFK-ATL also in Delta One for a total of 320K skymiles. That sounds like a lot but considering on several days, one leg for one person is 320K, I feel like we got a relative deal for Delta. I am super excited and now have the challenge of rebuilding my MR bank.
2020 is becoming quite scheduled, just the way I like it!

I wish that is how it happened for her. She went to Staples for the interview and they told her she’d get an email. Nothing so far. Their web site says it can take 2 to 3 weeks. We are now at 3.🙁
At least we’re flying out of small airports, so hopefully they won’t be too busy. Providence and John Wayne.

Super excited for you!!! :cheer2: Also, I don't think it's a bad redemption at all. Long flights in lie flat seats for pesos = WTG!!!

We all got global entry back in May last year. I know we had to create the login.gov account and I swear once the application was submitted it generated a number. At the time it meant nothing but I later realized it was the exact same as the KTN they wrote down when DD was approved. For me and DH they told us we’d get an email but at that point I already knew our numbers from our application. So if she was approved can you look in email and see if there’s a 9 digit number? They referred to it as a PASSID in the emails.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. Yes, it’s DH’s plat, so I’d have to have him call in for a retention offer, which I’m sure he’d do. Getting a decent offer would probably tip the scales in favor of keeping it. There are still Amex cards I’d like to get that the support would be good for. Still interested in the Aspire if I ever try at a time when I don’t get a pop up. Also neither of us have a gold card, which we’d use.

The 10k MR pay over time offer he got about a month ago, so we did get that.

The thing we’ve used MR’s for the most so far is transferring to Hilton during promotions. I don’t know that this is the best use of them, but it was what worked for us at the time. Other stuff I’ve looked up that we could have used them for haven’t really made sense value wise.

I am impressed your husband is willing to call for a retention offer. The thought of me telling mine he needs to call...talk about not worth the effort!

Just remember on the Gold card it is a personal card so any additional cards will count as an AU and against your 5/24 count.

If Hilton works for you and your travel then it is not a bad redemption for MR’s. Only reason I even got into getting MR’s was so I could transfer to Delta, so I could get 5 of us to WDW. I realize not best redemption but it is best for us...especially right now. :)

I called to accept the retention offer I was given yesterday on my Amex Biz Gold. Same offer this time plus a different one...$50 statement credit to offset AF. I took that...10,000 MR’s for a $3000 spend was maybe a better deal but just seemed a little sad to me. $50 back is something I can point too and feel better about.

That’s interesting. I’ll tell her to look through any emails she has received. And hope there is a number somewhere. Thanks!

I know we have a lot of Target shoppers and the Debit card has been discussed a lot. Doc posted this intriguing offer

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/appl...t-and-get-50-off-100-shopping-trip-9-22-9-28/
I will admit, I already have both the debit and credit, BUT it could be interesting for anyone with multiple checking accounts. 🤣 When I applied years ago all you needed was a blank check to sign-up in store.
That is still all you need lol. One of my dd's works at Target. They've been doing the $40 off $100 most recently and before that was $40 off $40+ so this offer falls somewhere in the middle. It's a good offer though overall! I only have a Redcard credit card and keep thinking I will go for a debit on one of these good offers.

Does your DD ever ring as a cashier? It would be nice to apply under her for that conversion score! (Is that still a thing Target measures? It was ALL the rage years ago prior to the data breach)

She does ring as a cashier (also works GS's and SCO). I'm not sure if they still have conversion scores but they have contests among TM's to see which team can get the most new Redcards opened. If I decide to do a debit, I'll definitely have her open it :)

If a new owner of a CIP adds an employee card, can anyone advise about how long it takes that employee card to arrive? The employee needs to have it in hand before her DL trip on October 8. Should that card be added ASAP?

you can try calling in and asking them to expedite it.

UUUUUGHHH you guys... I need to schedule my payments on my new cards to hit much sooner than I have been! You might remember I was stressing out about the CIP payment posting in time (even though I used the exact same timing I have used for years with the CF)? I barely squeaked in on those even though my CF payment has always posted on the day it has cleared my financial institution.

Well, I sent a payment on my Citi AA that shows it cleared my financial institution last night but it hadn't showed posted on the Citi account. The due date was TODAY and it's after 9pm here. So I did a payment through Citi (so now I've made two payments in identical amounts) just 30 minutes ago and it SAYS on the confirmation that they applied it today, but I also know they're not actually going to get the money out of my credit union for another couple days so I will likely be eating both a late charge AND interest.

From now on I'm tempted to send a payment every time I make a purchase. (Not that I am making any additional purchases on this particular card).

In other news... @SouthFayetteFan , my son's school's football team is most definitely going have their first loss of the season tonight. The first four games (that they won) were all against really awful teams, and I heard our QB is out, possibly for the season, with a torn ACL. Well, it was fun while it lasted! Hope the kid is OK.

Can an expert here direct me to where I would see, on my Chase account, the place to send a support option to another applicant? I swear I've seen it before but now that I need it, I cannot find it. Thank you!:thanks:

Or you can generate them from the App. I find it easier to do it on the computer at the link above though.
