DVC Members cruise Oct 5-12 2019 to Bermuda/Boston!!!

Every night cruise casual? That stinks! Have tried to join FB page but I guess they won’t add me😕
That's odd, we seem to have new people joining our FB group daily. Are there questions to answer? Definitely try again if you want!

Did you receive your confirmation email from DCL or DVC? We booked last week and have not received them yet.
No not yet. I called DVC yesterday and they confirmed we are on the ship but said it take a week to 10 days or so to get a confirmation #. I called DCL and since a charter cruise could not give a a reservation #. I also asked about OV cabins possibly turned on from cancellations, only one on deck 2 which we passed on...

Information about Salem, all very walkable:
lunch ideas:
Hawthorne Hotel pub (near Common, Witch Museum and Peabody Museum)
Regatta Pub at Salem Waterfront Hotel ( close to Friendship and House of 7 Gables)
Finz and Sea Level at Pickering Wharf (as above)
Turners Seafood (not sure but friend recommended)

Best Shopping:
Pickering Wharf, Peabody Essex Museum Gift Shop
Waite and Pierce Gift Store at Salem Maritime National Historic Site
Front Street shops
Interested in doing Salem and the "witch" museum. Heard that it was very interesting. Never been but was wondering how far and how if anyone was going on their own from Boston port

Yeah every request needs to go through DVC concerning reservation. DCL refers my questions to DVC.

Have you tried looking on DCL site under your castaway club? I seem to recall when we book these MCs, it shows up there after a few days & was another couple of weeks before the confirmation email arrived.

I am going to Salem but on one of the DCL port adventures since it is a ways out of the city. I did a bit of research on getting there plus the tour cost and the DCL seemed reasonable by comparison. We do not not dock close to a T station, so DCL also seemed the easier option for me.

I'd love to see the port Adventure list. I just checked my castaway # hoping this reservation # would pop up and it didn't. Tomorrow will be 8 days since I booked this cruise. If I don't have reservation # by then I will have the DCL forward me port adventures for Boston, specifically Salem. Bermuda we took our motorcycles on the ship and rode all day around the island all day. Not worried about that island. Our 16th cruise with DCL. Never have been told no in port adventures while last minute decision to go somewhere

From this link on the DCL site, you should be able to filter to the Boston port adventures & see the three Salem tour options

I’m not, having friends and family coming into Boston. It would be relatively easy to get to Salem. You could take the train from North Station. That will leave you within walking distance of most things in Salem, as long as you’re willing to walk. There’s also a ferry that goes, not sure of that time of year but that would be fun. I think it lets you off near Yhe House of Seven Gables.

We were in Boston about a month ago so were are doing our own excursion. We are gonna hit some historical areas we didn't have time for. One suggestion i'll make is if you don't want to pay for excursion go to fanuell (sp) hall and the parks service does free tours. We enjoyed it when we were in boston. My son actually did his senior capstone project concerning the 4th of July speeches there so it was cool to go in the building where a lot of history took place.
