**September 2019**

My niece is already practicing her Disney math! She called me today and said, “Three more days until Disney.” I explained to her she was wrong and it was four more days, but she politely said, “Aunt Sam, we ain’t counting today okay?!”
That's how my girls count down to their birthdays, they never count today!

I've been giving my kids a different count down every day bc I don't want them to know the real number. 😆 We have to leave our house around 3:30am for our 6:15am flight and I know they'll be too excited to fall asleep if they know we're going that night! Luckily they're 6, 4 and 3 so they're pretty easy to confuse with dates, although my oldest has been catching on lol

In one week we will be there. We are excited but also struggling with the loss of my wife’s brother to brain cancer this weekend. He was 31 years old. After our couples trip my wife will fly out the next day for his funeral. Bitter sweet.
So sorry, losing a sibling must be a tremendous loss.

We fly out in less than 48 hours and I cannot wait!!! I've been watching the app for the past couple of weeks and was surprised how long wait times have been the past couple of days. Touring Plans has a crowd level of 3 (I know, crowd calendars are not reliable), but I hoped with schools being back in session, wait times would be lower. Definitely jealous of all the folks who were there when Dorian was happening. Ah well, we have a plan and FP for all the big rides. A busy day in Disney is better than any day at work!!

I feel like a lot of people moved their trips to this week due to Dorian.... atleast.... that’s what I am telling myself.

Things are reaching a fever pitch over here with just 11 days to go. Just learned about the charity restaurant week thing being extended because of the hurricane and I think we might try one or two of the fancier offerings in Disney Springs.

I’m not a Frozen fan and I think the color trends are a little basic and possibly demeaning, but I must admit that some of the unique treats present a certain appeal...

My friend and I both agreed to focus on stuff we haven’t done. Her first request was trying the tequila place in Mexico, so already there are sound decisions being made.

Just back on Saturday from our 9/7-9/14 trip. Had an amazing time and definitely hit low crowds!! Epcot was probably the busiest with food and wine but it was more than manageable and we had a fantastic time. Hit such low crowds at Magic Kingdom one day that on several rides the operators just let us stay on multiple times because there was no one in line! Star Wars Galaxy's edge was awesome. I had been trying to get an Oga's Cantina reservation for months and come to find out, they are accepting walk ins! Walked right in and got a booth! We got to do many of the major rides without fastpasses and the restaurants seemed pretty empty. I do have to say that we attended the Halloween Party on Sunday night 9/8 and it was way more crowded than any of the parties I ever remember going to. Trick or treat lines were super long and the ride lines didn't seem all that great either. But otherwise we had an amazing trip and wishing the same for the rest of the September people!!

I'm disappointed but not surprised that crowds have incressed again. This happened last year. Everyone was saying it was a ghost town the week before we went and it seemed very very busy when we went. Even on the Halloween party day.

We hoped to early rope drop HS so we could get on SDD. We missed out on that last year. I hope there's still a chance we can. The app wait times don't seem too different than they had been. 50 minutes on smugglers run.

Well Jim Cantore expects there to be a hurricane to be formed by Friday, it is still quite a bit of days out though.

Thanks it is hard. It was my wife’s younger brother and he was only 31 years old. It was a tough time the past year to see him go downhill so fast.

This is so heart breaking to read. I'm so very sorry. Thinking of you and hope disney takes good care of you both 💖

Eek, it somehow just hit me that I really need to pack for our trip TODAY. We fly down Wednesday AM but have work, school, and evening activities Monday and Tuesday. Must get started instead of procrastinating on the DIS lol...
We fly out tomorrow morning and STILL trying to pack, too 😩
Have a magical time

I couldn't live in Florida. I saw this development disappear and reappear a few times. Now it's already a hurricane? The forecasts I watch seem to think it will turn away but I'm not going to let myself stress about it right now. This prediction at least allows us to get there before anything heads our direction.

It's not a hurricane yet, just a tropical depression. It's forecast to be a hurricane Friday (and not even a major one at that). LOTS can change between now and then, so prepare, plan, and do what you've planned to do for now. This thing is still so far out from potential U.S. landfall that there's no telling where it could go at this point. It's not going to impact WDW through the weekend, anyway. This is life on/near the coast during hurricane season! (I live on the coast of GA and don't start to get concerned about my home/whether or not to evacuate until that 5-day cone is near/on top of my home.) We're headed to WDW tomorrow after school and can't wait!
