Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

That reminds me of another annoying tidbit about the loud local and her dog last week...she was using the lawn in front of the wedding gazebo as her dog relief area. And she wasn’t the only one. She did seem to be picking up after it, but still. Ick. Am I wrong that the dog relief area is on the other side of the building by the quiet pool, and not by the gazebo?
I agree it not great but, to be fair, if you’re walking your dog controlling where it goes to the toilet is pretty hard. Mine drop and squat anywhere 😂🤦‍♀️(I don’t bring them on vacation tho!). At least she was clearing it up 😀

Any ideas for space saving items I should bring for the BCV studio? As I mentioned prior, 5 of us plus a toddler in a crib for 3 weeks so we need to do a bit more planning to make the room more comfortable.

I’ll definitely be packing enough hangers!
I was thinking of also bringing a hanging
shoe organizer with clear pockets for toothbrushes, deodorant etc so we can keep the bathroom countertop clean.
I was also considering an inflatable toddler bed in lieu of the crib.
We will ask housekeeping to remove the chairs, coffee table and anything in the closet that we don’t need.

People have mentioned limited to no drawer space. Would small kids clothing fit in the drawers? Underwear?! Socks? Anything? haha.

We will keep our kiddos strollers on the balcony as we will be bringing ours from home.

Any other ideas?!

I think you might need to have the balcony furniture removed if you want to keep strollers out there. There would not have been room on the balcony I had last month. You might want to post the measurements of your strollers so someone who is there can tell you if they will fit.

The drawers in my studio were rough, like they needed to be sanded. I don’t know if that is typical. Socks, underwear might fit but might get snagged if not in ziploc bags.

I think you can request hangers from housekeeping. If anyone has done that when booked in studio on points maybe they can chime in. You don’t want too many hangers or they will end up in your motor vehicle with your suitcases.

If you are going to be doing laundry you might want to bring a fabric laundry bag (you wash it with the dirty clothes). Although a pillowcase might work. If your kid would sleep in an inflatible bed then do that.

I use a hanging sweater organizer to store clothing in the closet. I keep the ironing board up against the wall behind the entrance door for extra counter space and a 'drop spot' with a container to hold magic bands, sunglasses, etc., when coming in the door. Backpacks are stored on the floor under the ironing board. I empty suitcases and use one for dirty laundry so I can just wheel it to the laundry room.

I used two of these in a studio at Polynesian because the drawer space was under the bed and I don’t bend well. It worked perfectly for the three of us.

Dee Did A Dumb!

Yesterday I was trying to catch up and post new info on Page 1 and on the Room View threads- I take notes about info to add as I am reading through and then go back when I have time and refurbish the posts.

As you can imagine, I have a Beach Club/Yacht Club/BCV file with thousands of photos, my own and from other guests throughout the years, pretty (obsessively) organized in folders and subfolders.

Yesterday, I accidentally deleted my archive of "Club Level" photos. About 400 pictures.

I do have my photos backed up, but I don't know how to retrieve just the set that I need. I'll ask my techie husband over the weekend if I can do that. It literally takes days to restore all my photos when I need to upgrade to a new computer, so I am not going to go that route.

The good news- I still have all of my own pictures from past CL stays, and when (if) I have time, I can copy off the pictures that are currently in the CL post on Page 1 and I know there is a treasure-trove of photos (more recent than the ones I had) over on the CL FAQ forum.

I may put out requests for specific photos in the near future, so stay tuned!

Nothing like getting an unexpected "fresh start"

:headache:

GREAT NEWS!

I may have done a dumb earlier this week, but I sure did a super smart 33 years ago when I married Mark!!!

He was able to show me how to easily restore the folder (400 photos) I had deleted since we have them backed up on Carbonite. Took about a minute!

He also spent the afternoon working on my dad's computer issues.

🤓

We used 3 collapsible containers for under the bathroom sink so the counter stayed clean.
We had a total of 5 large and 1 medium size hard sided suitcase and one carryon. We were able to put all but one in the closet. My daughter and I put our clothes in the drawers, my husband kept his in his suitcase. We use packing cubes so it made it easier. There was a large space near the door that you can probably store something, we kept our shoes there ( we all had multiple pairs). We don’t have as many people as your party but we had a lot of luggage ( we were in FL for 19 days).

Edit ! I found my own answer LOL. They are offering two items as snack credits.

Good morning, now that beaches and cream is in a temporary location and a walk up only. Does anybody know if any of their ice cream qualifies as a snack credit on the dining plan? Thank you

In the past, at the to go counter, cones and ice cream sandwiches were available as snack credits. I don’t know what the current situation is though with the temporary location.

Heading back to WDW with the hubby and 3 daughters for a split stay 11/14-11/23. 1 night at YC garden view then over to BC deluxe room for 8 nights. Just made our fast passes this morning!! Could we please be added to the Be Our Guest list? Thanks so much!!

Its been a few weeks since we returned from a fab stay at the YC.

Our 1st time here, usually BC people but no more, YC all the way.

Room was booked as a GV, room 3087. Daybed and full balcony with view of gazeebo and lake to the right. It was amazing, loved the room and used the balcony every day.

Watched people run from the boat in the downpours and enjoyed the morning sunrise. And watching illuminations from the balcony.

Mousekeeping was fab, she was so nice and accommodating when we were either still in the room or came back during the cleaning. she even gave the kids colouring sheets and crayons and on the last day, left us a lovely gift. We also got towel animals. Under the bed was handy for the suit cases.

Pool was busy in the afternoon 3ish, trying to get a bed. Biggest gripe was the family next to us who up and left leaving 6 beds with towels on. I moved them.

Swam at night and early morning which was lovely. Glad B&C was still open, enjoyed many ice creams.

Had sunken treasures many a time, no bother. Nice to see alot of the same staff.

The gondola looks ok. I was a bit worried about how it was going to intrude on the BW but until it opens and see where people exit, I'm still not sure!! The design of the station is nice tho.

All in all, everyone was friendly and we had an amazing time before moving onto the Gran Destino. Amazing too!!

Posting a few pics of the room and views .Screenshot_20190914-235013_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163720_Gallery-810x1665.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163713_Gallery-810x1665.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163554_Gallery-810x1665.jpg20190914_164009-810x411.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163930_Gallery-810x1665.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163757_Gallery-810x1665.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163810_Gallery-810x1665.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163901_Gallery-810x1665.jpgScreenshot_20190914-163849_Gallery-810x1665.jpg

Hi! We check into Beach Club in four days in a garden view room. Can anyone tell me what the hairdryers are like please? Are they really cool air with barely any blow? I have a travel one that I can bring, but I’ve already over packed so would like to leave it behind if needs be! I like a hot, strong hairdryer!

I believe the hairdryers are the same at BC as YC, but maybe someone can confirm.
