Good news - I see DH's CIP in informed delivery which means I can take on my trip tomorrow and work on spend.

Spending 3 days, starting tomorrow, in Baltimore at a professional meeting. Won't have much time for sightseeing or other things. These are the best trips as I get my SW points though I have to book through their travel agency so no spend reimbursement. I can charge the hotel and food on my credit card and get that reimbursed. We're staying at a Curio hotel. Difficult decision - DH Hilton Biz card for points or CIP for MSR??? I'm still Hilton Gold (at least in the app) though I cancelled my Hilton Biz in July. Looks like I can get 1000 bonus points per night instead of free breakfast. Since all food is getting reimbursed, I signed up for bonus points.

I did get an email to check in today - which seems early. I might do that as it says I can pick my room. I have been having really good room karma lately. In Denver and Breckenridge I got rooms at the end of the hall which were corner rooms. Very large and no neighbors on the one side. Very quiet. I much prefer that to being close to the elevator.

Bad news, I tried to take advantage of the Meijer offer on spend 150 on GC and get 10 off. They had variable VGC (with a cute flower pattern as well!) but when I went to buy, I needed either a debit card with pin or cash.>:(. The other gift cards I have gotten there must have been regular store or restaurant cards as I haven't run into that before.

I think you can also pay the $7.95 for the return (have it deducted) and they give you $7.95 in rewards. I don't think I was charged multiple times when I went on my purse shopping extravaganza earlier this year :)
Do these rewards expire? I have $10 in rewards. I saw an email to use by 9/26 without any restrictions. Wasn't sure if that meant they expired then or what.

Anyone shopping the Target collaborations?

A lot of Phillip Lim, Anna Sui, Zac Posen, Jason Wu, Thakoon, and Lili Pulitzer are already sold out online.

I'm going to one of the nearby targets after the gym but mostly to see what's there. Then I'll go back later in the week to see what's left. Curious how the smaller quantities of stuff that didn't sell well does here.

Anything I should watch out for that'll do well on ebay? Doubt it'd be there but who knows.

Same, except mine was light pink! I was so proud of it. I think I actually kept it.
I think I got rid of mine but that thing was awesome. It’s funny because I actually hated pink (I was a huge tomboy). But my parents bought the phone and for some reason chose pink and I ended up loving it anyway

Oh man, my friends all had razors! It wasn't the free phone with contract so I didn't get one. It was when my sister got her first phone and she wanted it so badly but the sales guy talked my parents out of it, saying there was a reason it had been bumped down to a free one :rotfl: he implied they were junk. Obviously we have no personal experience lol.
Everyone in my family had one. That was probably my favorite phone. It was super sleek looking lol. My mom had a silver one, my dad had a black one, and I can’t remember what my brother had.

When booking international flights through the chase portal, do you prefer to book round trip or pick each leg separately? I’m playing around and the flight I’m looking at now had delta for the domestic legs. Wondering if there’s any benefit to booking those through delta with miles and using chase for the international portion.
I like all legs of a trip booked on the same PNR- especially when I’m trying to make an international connection. That means it all gets booked together on one ticket.

That sounds like a promotional reward - occasionally they'll throw $10 in there that's good for a few weeks.

The regular rewards you earn from purchases are good for a year. There is a rewards section in the My Account drop down that says when they were earned/expire.

I think I'm going to break down and buy more packing cubes :rotfl: Partly I like match-y, so I'm going to get a bunch in the same color, and also because I always reach for the same ones - my classic medium ebags one, and the slim ultralight ebags ones. Sometimes I don't even like the ultralights as much and have wanted to try the classic slims. I just feel like the ultralight are too deep for most of my things - ya know that whole half an inch or so ruins it :rotfl: I've got some off Amazon too that I tend to put DHs stuff in because I don't like them as much, and then another knock off pack from years ago from Amazon I attempted to use on my London trip with my friend, 4 years ago, first time with packing cubes. I bought them last minute and it did not make me a convert at the time lol. I think part of it was there were a lot of large ones and I gravitate towards the smalls/mediums.

I am 50 and had the light pink Razr LOL. I actually finally got rid of it just a couple of years ago. As a phone it actually sucked, call quality was terrible, but I loved the phone itself, it was indestructible and pretty and I loved the way the metal felt. Only phone I never used a case on.

I always find the best deals on autoslash. I use my CSP to book and then pay the CSP with my Discover IT cashback if there is enough in there.
I use my Discover CB for discounted GC for UA or Banana Republic since I typically spend $ there anyway :)

Has anyone gotten the (Amazon) $30 off $60 on multiple cards?

I've gotten both that offer once and the 20% off offer, but I'm angling for another $30 off $60. I've unenrolled one card, deleted it, added another mr card and enrolled it this morning.

Ive gotten it on the same card multiple times. Never pulled the 20% up. Wonder if there is some algorithm as to which you are more likely to get.

I’m definitely not an expert but I know we flew Virgin Atlantic (economy) direct from DTW to LHR. It was fine but the seats were so thin and the crew wasn’t the nicest. That being said it was a short direct flight and I’d fly them again if the cost/times worked out.

We flew Lufthansa (using United miles) to Barcelona and loved those flights. We were in economy and the seats were comfortable and the crew friendly. We had a short connecting flight in Frankfurt.

I don’t think you can go wrong with Delta either and I know they fly into LHR.

Then of course there is BA (which we’ll be flying the first time within Europe to get from BCN to LHR). I’ve heard they don’t give assigned seats (even in Biz class) until a few days (I think) before departure. I think you can pay for seat assignments though. I’m not sure if that’s the same for travel from US to Europe.

We’re flying AA one way from DTW -> PHL -> BCN next summer using 30K AA miles per person in economy. Taxes were under $6/ticket. Folks on the board with much more experience than me approved of my flight selection :)

We’re stuck flying on Air Canada’s low cost arm (Rogue) for our return (from Glasgow). It was much cheaper (cash and miles wise) to fly through Canada than it was to return directly to Detroit. I’m not hugely excited about the basic plane we’ll be flying back on but it was a short duration flight for a good price which are my top 2 requirements.
Awesome thanks! Did you find flying into/out of Glasgow cheaper than Edinburgh?

Thanks for the reminder! I just got in an order for the matching kids Harajuku outfits I was eyeing. I guess they're not as popular, but I think they're so cute. I'm using them for my kids' holiday photos.
