I didn't look at Saturday, but it showed no reservations available on Sunday when I checked. My husband was blocked that day and our passes expire in 2 weeks. I thought maybe we could just buy a new Flex pass for him and make a reservation that day, but both parks showed no reservation available. I kind of assumed that it was because it was same day, but I haven't been paying a lot of attention to any patterns.I think I saw that this past Saturday went “no reservations available” sometime in the evening? I checked the block out calendar in the app on Saturday around 8pm CST, so about 6pm at DLR. That day was marked out. Did anyone else see this?
When these “no reservations available” situations happen on the day-of, I wonder and suspect it is DLR just turning off reservations for the Flex pass when they hit a certain crowd level in the park for that day? This is ultimately what they seem to want, the ability to control crowds moment by moment. I guess this would not hurt someone with a 30 day out reservation that they had made, but it would hurt those who are on a 3 day trip, booked the first two days at 30 days out, and are then trying to add the third day on in real time after using their day one reservation. Since this will likely be our situation on all trips in the future (we do 3 day trips usually, and they are usually weekends and holidays), I am watching this closely.I didn't look at Saturday, but it showed no reservations available on Sunday when I checked. But even in your case, you wouldn’t be trying to add that third day on the afternoon OF the third day... you’d be adding Day 3 on Day 1. So this particular situation still wouldn’t be an issue for you...When these “no reservations available” situations happen on the day-of, I wonder and suspect it is DLR just turning off reservations for the Flex pass when they hit a certain crowd level in the park for that day? It seems to vary. I have seen people post that they were able to make a new reservation once they scanned into the park on their 1st reservation day. Other times, people have had to wait until 12:01 AM the next day. This aspect of the Flex pass (reserving day 3) is still unclear to me.
Let's say I wanted to use my flex pass for three days, starting today:
DAY 1, SATURDAY: I made a reservation 30 days ago
DAY 2, SUNDAY: I made a reservation 30 days ago
DAY 3, MONDAY: ???
Let's assume I was inside one of the parks right now (Saturday). Could I reserve Monday at this moment? Or, could I perhaps reserve it this evening after the parks close? Or would I have to wait until tomorrow (Sunday) to make a Monday reservation? If I have to wait until tomorrow to make the reservation, could I make a reservation at 12:01AM on Sunday?

Yup, works like this. The only exception would be if you get a paper ticket valid for your first visit. You can reserve a new reservation the moment you 1. Cancel a reservation 2. The moment your Annual Pass is scanned into either park 3. at midnight the day after a reservation, this only applies if you DID NOT enter either park (a no show).
For your scenario you could reserve Monday the moment your Annual Pass is scanned into the park on Saturday.
Thanks for answering my question RE: day three, everyone.
I've decided I'm going to start checking the availability calendar for the next few days, to see if any days are blocked out.
It is now Saturday Sept 7, 4:10pm Disneyland time, and both Disneyland and CA show as "RESERVATION UNAVAILABLE." I'm almost positive that, when I checked this morning, both parks were available, but I could be mistaken.
I just got here. It is busy, but nothing like previous Saturdays. The longest lines seem to be for merchandise, and people probably waiting to come for fireworks, MSEP, etcI can't believe that Both parks are showing as unavailable at 4:30 PM. I am not as shocked about them closing off DL, but CA Adventure too? Except for a couple of rides, the wait times there do not seem that awful.
I checked this morning also and saw it was available. I checked around 4:45 pm to see reservations were unavailable for the remainder of the day. I believe the APs blocked on Saturdays are SoCal & SoCal Select? I wonder if this will be the norm on Fridays & Saturdays from here on out through the rest of the year. Thanks for answering my question RE: day three, everyone.

I know someone with the Flex Pass who had one when I saw her on Friday. I didn’t specifically confirm that she bought it for herself, but she was there alone, so I assume she did. There’s no logical reason why you couldn’t...Someone just reported that you can't get the Annual Passport Halloween exclusive popcorn bucket with the Flexpass. Can anyone confirm this?
