Extra Extra Magic Hours! Post Your Experiences Here!

I have to say I have been to Disney three times this year and this is my fourth. We almost cancelled our trip because of Dorian but didn’t. We got lucky as this isn’t the norm. We’ve had fast passes for FOP every day since we’ve been here. I was able to secure one at 60 day fast pass window and then all the others I’ve gotten same day or day before by checking times. But doing rope drop first time at AK for EMH let us do it twice in a row with no wait. We also had fast pass for it at 8am today and did it s third time today.

We did notice that MK and HS seemed busier yesterday than what we had been seeing and wait times were longer as the day went on but we bang out the busy rides in morning and do the less busy rides as the day progresses.

The two times we did EMH earlier this week for MK they opened right at 7am. We had already gone thru security and scanned bands and just waited at front entrance for rope to drop. Everyone went to the 7D ride but we did Peter Pan, Small World etc. with no wait time. Did every ride that was open more than once. No wait times. Ended up doing 7D with a 15 min wait listed but it was
More of a five min wait. We did Space mountain five times in a row before the park fully opened. Then when fully opened we did all the other rides, again with little to no wait. Never seen anything like it. Incredible.

how did you do space that many times? were they letting you get back on without having to walk out of the building and back in?

Can anyone currently there update the walk back process EEMH opening at MGM? I read elsewhere that the Rope drop doesn't happen until 6 a.m. sharp and it is a 10 to 15-minute swag to get all the way to the falcon. Is that still the case? I really wish they would not waste a portion of that extra magic hour time like that.

Thanks in advance for the help!

We were able to stay on three times without getting off until the person who was letting us stay on got “their hand slapped” about doing that and we had to get off and go back thru line. There was no line so it was quick to get on and off. And because hubby and I are dorks, we skipped the way on and off.

I am hoping that DHS extends the EEMH into December. I believe they lasted long for AK with the opening of Pandora. So far no word on it yet though for SWGE which leads me to think maybe not. 🙁

I would wait until next week to start really analyzing the data.
In terms of overall wait times I agree but in terms of patterns of what rides are visited when, I’m not sure I agree. MFSR has routinely had its longest posted waits of the first 2 hours right after RD, then the waits drop quite a bit. This is a really weird pattern, but it’s exactly what we see on a daily basis at DLR for the exact same ride, which makes me think it’s very likely to continue.

SDD, like all the other non SWGE rides, has routinely started slow and built aver the course of the two hours.

So I am all about the plan of doing TSL first, then SWGE.

We will be there Saturday September 14th
Do you al think that the weekend will be a lot more crowded ??
