Blue or Green or just get both?
I like the blue milk better. The green milk has a bit of a unique aftertaste to it, which is probably why some people strongly dislike it. The blue milk flavors are more familiar which probably also plays a part in its preference. Unless you already know that you hate the flavors used in green milk, I would say try both.

You may have already read this, but neither one is actually dairy based. The consistency from the milk stand is more slushie while the Cantina sells a more traditional consistency. Neither one contains alcohol unless they've added it to Florida's version. Disneyland only sells alcohol inside the Cantina and you cannot leave the Cantina with alcoholic beverages.

We are going in the Cantina mostly because I want to look around. I’ll have my daughter with me so we will probably try both!

I'll be seeing the Cantina for my first time the end of this month. Excited to check it out especially since I've read one of the novels that takes place on Batuu. I plan on trying at least 5 of the 6 non alcoholic specialty drinks available there so it will take multiple visits for me.

This was a fantastic running week. It felt super easy and I really needed that. The doubt monster has been rearing her ugly head again and making me feel like I'll never be ready for the Chicago Women's 10 miler.

The kiddos went back to school this week 😭 I love having them home and the summer went by way too fast. Eliana is in 8th grade and Nick is in 10th grade.

Back to school means back into a somewhat regular routine though. I was up super early all week so I could get my runs finished by 7am. I haven't seen any bears, thank goodness. I've also learned I hate the gym at lunch time. People are super annoying and selfish with the equipment. Get off the phones, do your sets and move on!!!!!! I think I can switch things around a little so I can get in there at my usual time which is between the morning & lunch crowds :thumbsup2 My head is feeling so much better, but it looks like I may end up with a gnarly scar.

I wasn't sure how today would go after leg day at the gym on Tuesday. I have added barbell hip thrusts into my routine to work my glutes more. Holy moly it's painful to sit for the next two days, but that means I'm doing them right LOL!!!

This run felt effortless. I was up at 5am so I could run before I had to bring Eliana horseback riding. We bought a tractor. We purchased a canopy to go on it to keep Rob out of the sun while using it. We don't need anymore skin cancer in this family!!! We also got a pull behind mower for the pastures. Rob is so excited. He was almost in tears when he had to sell his tractor when we moved from Massachusetts to Florida.

Star Wars Galaxy Edge Preview Day!!!!

OMG. It was amazing. The castmembers really made a difference. Their costumes were fantastic and they were always in character. We got to HS around 7:50am and made our way over to check in for the preview. We had reservations for Oga's Cantina and were sent to wait in a different line so we could get our return time. They let us in at 8:20 and immediately walked us to Smuggler's Run. Eliana and I got to be Pilots!!! That will probably never ever happen again so we were excited.

427218
427222

After we rode we immediately went back into the single rider line. Eliana got Engineer and I got Pilot, but in different boarding colors. We traded so she could be Pilot again. By 9am we had ridden the ride twice and that was good enough for us. It was fun, but definitely won't be a must do for us. We looked around at all the shops. They are so very small and hard to get into. I can't imagine what it will be like when the land is fully open. We had to try this super cool bottle of Sprite! This was $6 and we left it behind somewhere. Oh well. It probably would have been a dust collector anyway.

427227

We went over to Oga's to check in. We waited maybe 10 minutes before we were shown in. There is limited seating in there. It's mostly standing room and they do not take requests. You get what you get and you don't get upset. We were shown to a spot at the bar. Kinda weird to be standing at the bar with your kid, but she didn't seem to care because she had a great view of everything. We ordered the Blue Milk, Batuu Bites & an Outer Rim (Patrón Silver Tequila, Cedilla Açaí Liqueur, Lime Juice, Pure Cane Sugar, with Black Salt and Exotic Fruit Purée). I hadn't planned on ordering an alcoholic beverage at 10am, but I couldn't resist. Eliana didn't care for the Blue Milk, but I thought it was very good. It's coconut milk in case anyone was wondering. There are some antics that go on inside the Cantina, but I don't want to spoil it. I was feeling pretty good with my one drink. No need for another so we went on our way.

427232

I love the wandering characters. We came across Rey, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers.

427237
427238
427240

We explored a little more and decided we were good. The land is so detailed and amazing (even the trash cans and bathrooms!!!!) and it was awesome to see it with hardly any guests there. We made our way into the rest of the park and rode RNRC with a FP. We got ourselves an obligatory Mickey Pretzel w/ the plastic cheese and decided to call it a day. We are very lucky to live nearby and be able to just pop in to a park for a few hours.

Coming Up
Mon - EA
Tue - HM Tempo intervals
Wed - EA
Fri - EB + Strides
Sat - LR + HM Tempo

Olga's was what I really wanted to do. When the CM went over the rules before entering, I added to them 'you get what you get and you don't get upset' for the kids as a reminder that we do not get to ask for extras. I feel they could have used it for some of the adults in line. We got in and I was very happy to be seated at a booth as my kids were too short to even see the top of the bar. Unfortunately, it was loud and sensory overload for one of our kids so we had to promptly exit before even ordering. I agree, the restrooms were out of this world. That and the popcorn machine were fantastic to the kids.

We looked around at all the shops. They are so very small and hard to get into. I can't imagine what it will be like when the land is fully open.
At least on the west coast, the shops became much easier to get into after the land became open to everyone. My sister went in June during the reservation period and again in July after it was open and commented to me that she saw fewer guests with droids/lightsabers et all in July. She thinks this was because the reservation period guests were crazy people like me. I'm building my droid next week with my nephew and will also build my lightsaber on this same visit. I'm going to take full advantage of my sister being willing to act as my photographer. I assume she's willing to do this since I'm almost always able to babysit when she needs me to.

Glad you saw Kylo Ren wandering the land. I have yet to see him, although I have seen Rey, Chewie, Stormtroopers, Vi Moradi (Resistance spy who is not in the movies) and a female First Order officer.
I agree, the restrooms were out of this world.
Glad to see people realize what the restrooms are supposed to be. They're simultaneously as clean as a Disney restroom should be while also looking appropriately run down for the backstory of the planet. I have no problem with fair and thoughtful criticism even about something that I love. It just bothers me when criticism is not honest.

I was up at 4am so I could run, shower and ready to leave by 7:15. Rob had a powerlifting meet that I didn't want to miss. He hit a lifetime PR in the deadlift at 467 pounds. The bar + plates is 465 pounds, but each collar was a pound each.

431035

He won his age & weight class. Easy to do if you are the only one entered 😁

431036

Today was rough on the legs though. I ran, sat in the car for 45 minutes then sat for most of the meet that ended after 1pm. I was so stiff!!!!

Sunday
Purchased lots of tile for the new house. I'll have house updates in another post.

1. The T+D adjustment has been a lifesaver in the heat and humidity we've been having this summer! I used to be upset when the adjustment said I had to run so slowly for EA, but now I am loving it. :)

2. Your husband is a bad-a**. Congrats to him on the PR!

I was needing that adjustment today! T+D was 156 and felt like 256!

Thanks for the DH compliment. It's hard to believe that just 4 years ago he could barely walk the perimeter of the grocery store (van pulled out in front of him while riding his motorcycle in January 2015).

This has been a crazy week waiting on Dorian. We are prepped and just sitting around waiting. The outer rainbands have started to move in and we have a pleasant breeze. We have decided to stay put and ride out the storm. My county is in the red below. To the south is Orange County with WDW in the southwest corner. We live about 1 hour from the east coast.

This run was interrupted by a bear. I ran by him 4 times and never even noticed he was sitting there eating someone's trash :scared1: My neighbor flagged me down as I ran by him the 4th time and told me he (or she???) was there. It had busted through a fence to get into the trash cans. It also likes Sun Chips as you can see pictured below.

Other than that scare this run ROCKED!!! I could have easily done more CV/R intervals. Amazing what adjusting for Temp & Dew Point will do for you.

I also had an appointment with a Rheumatologist today. I was there because I had an ANA test come back as positive. I'm assuming it's a false positive, but I was humoring my primary care. It took me months to get into one and it wasn't my first choice of doctor. She is very anti running and weight lifting. She told me continuing to do those things was just leading to arthritis and I'll end up with double knee and hip replacements by the time I'm 60yo. Oh...and not wearing shoes in the house will give me arthritis in my feet 🤨 She said that swimming and biking provide better cardio and that yoga will give me everything I need for strength training. I nearly busted out laughing. Her office is covered in photos of her daughter who competes at the collegiate level in gymnastics. She also thinks I have Fibromyalgia, but I'm not sold on that yet. I have horrible fatigue and mysterious aches and pains, but I dunno. I had labs done to rule out other autoimmune disorders. I'll come back to the Fibromyalgia topic after all the lab results come back.

Are the docs worried about lupus? I have Reynaud's and I had a blip high level of some kind of ANA test once about 10 years ago, so there was a concern about that. I see my rheumatologist every 6 months. So far, so good, but the ANA does seem to pop up in my bloodwork every few years. I hope it's nothing more than that for you, too. Although the fatigue and ache/pains are worrying...hoping for positive results for you!

Howdy neighbor! Our house in the States is right next door in Brevard. We're a few miles from the coast, far enough away to put up the shutters but not worry about storm surge or flooding.

Hope you stay safe with Dorian this week! What a slow moving storm... I feel like the anticipation would kill me.

Sounds like a very interesting doctor's appt- hope all checks out ok. I am glad that you will prove her wrong with good running and (hopefully) no hip/knee replacements ;)
Also.. I never wear shoes in my house. My feet must be doomed.

They are testing for it along with a bunch of other common autoimmune diseases. Funny you should mention Raynaud's because I was diagnosed with that over the winter. According to the doctor I saw last week she said that could have caused the ANA to come back positive and that it is common for people with Fibromyalgia to have it.

Not much action from Dorian.

It's 6ish now and not much has changed.

Not much happening at our house. 30-35mph winds and a bit of rain. Guess the shutters scared Dorian away.

Reynaud's can be "primary" or "secondary". That is, either you just have Reynaud's and that it, or the Reynaud's is actually an effect of something else that you have, like lupus. But overall both Reynaud's and lupus and other similar conditions are still not well studied, so it can be a mystery. I had not heard of the connection to fibromyalgia...great, another thing to worry about!

Reynaud's is not uncommon, especially among women. I've seen several folks on the Running Thread mention that they have it.

At any rate, I hope that you both figure out what is going on and that it's not too serious.
