Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I walked by Ariels with the Beaches and Cream setup. It was rather strange; this very large room with just a few of the tables and chairs from B and C. Definitely not a great atmosphere but will do if you want to grab some ice cream and go.
It does look very sparse. It really drives home how small B&C was. I mean there were also 3 booths and the bar, but those tables used to be really squished in there.

I am curious how crowded it will get in there now that there are no ADRs. I doubt people will flock to the "walkup window" at Ariels from other places without an ADR.

We just got back last week from our usual August stay. We were at Art of Animation, but booked a BB to return to the Beach Club next August!!!! Last time we stayed at BC, I was pregnant with our DS, and for next years' stay he will be 5!!!! Time flies, but I am excited for him to stay at BC (outside of the womb, lol). I think he will love SAB for sure. Our girls are excited about the return as well! :yay:

:welcome: back!!!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

Your pictures and details have made the Cabanas information so much clearer. Thank you!

I didn't give you a :welcome: when I commented on your other post.

Do you have an upcoming trip to the resort?

:goodvibes

Does the Regatta Club, in the Yacht Club, have a balcony that you can sit on to eat? If so, what kind of view is there?

Is the Regatta Club as big as the Stone Harbor Club in the Beach Club?
The Regatta Club is smaller than the Stone Harbor Club. The food area is a smaller room, although it still has the same offerings. There is one room with tables and chairs, unlike the two rooms at the Beach Club. There is a second room that has a TV with two arm chairs. There is a balcony with seating that overlooks the front of the Yacht Club.

At the height of the storm, Disney will probably restrict people to their rooms. so snacks and beverages are also good things to have on hand. In the past, when the storm has eased up, people were allowed to go to the food court but they only had overpriced, sad, box lunches for purchase.

*snip*

Thanks for the tips!

If one had water view, which would have a better view of the Boardwalk across Crescent Lake, YC or BC?

I'm not sure which is better. If you want to see some samples of views from the waterview category at both resorts, check out the YC View Thread and BC View Thread on the Resorts Subforum.

We returned on Monday from a nice long WDW trip, celebrating our 1st anniversary, and we stayed at BC. I thought I'd share a few of our thoughts. We really love BC/YC, and the entire Epcot resort loop, but on this trip, staying at BC, to be honest, we fell a little more in love with YC and BWI.

Thank you so much for your detailed review!

::yes::

Hi! We need to add 2 days to our upcoming September trip. Do most of the standard garden views sleep 5? I know if I book through WDW I can be guaranteed a room for 5 but priceline has a good discount on right now and I want to know what my odds were of getting a room for 5. :)

We are not really sure of the exact number of rooms at the resort that have a daybed or if there are some categories that have more than others.

I am pretty confident that rooms with daybeds are prioritized for families of 5, regardless of how you booked the trip. In the rare circumstance where a family of 5 is assigned to a room with just 2 queen beds, the resort should do its best to either find you another room with a daybed, or provide you with a rollaway cot so that everyone on the booking has a sleeping space.

Hey guys! So I’m looking to book YC from April 24-May 2. There seems to be limited rooms available for this time. Is it possible that Disney may have held back rooms for a conference during that time? If that’s the case does Disney often add more to the inventory if/when these blocks of rooms don’t sell? Crossing my fingers I can find more Standard or Garden rooms soon. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all!! I was able to snag a reservation at Beach Club in one of the Studio villas. Are they all on the ground floor?

I thought I took pictures of the view from my room when I was at Disney earlier this month, but all I see on my phone is this picture of the balcony. But you can see what's in front of it. (Lots of trees, no view of anything.) If I recall correctly, you can see the Dolphin on top of the Dolphin hotel in the top right corner.

Thanks for posting the picture.

I'll add it to the (very sparse) BCV view thread.

Thanks so much. I'll add this to the dining post.

Thanks!

I have only been in the YC CL once in 2016 and my three CL stays at the Beach Club all came before the lounge was renovated. I believe they expanded the lounge using one or two guest rooms on the 5th floor for extra space.

I am not aware of anything special. That week is after Easter and traditional spring breaks.

Keep looking. Availability changes all the time.

I'll pencil you in on the Be Our Guest list.

When is your trip?

As indicated below, there are studios on all floors of the BCV building.

:cool1:

The studios are on all 5 floors of the Beach Club Villas.

Thanks for posting this info. That's what I thought, but I really am not well-versed in the villas building and rooms.

As far as I know, rooms that are held back for conferences, etc, aren't released until much closer to travel date, like closer to 30 days before.

I can speak to this. Last night we decided we needed ice cream so we stopped in Ariel's for a Snicker Sundae and a No Way Jose. We were the ONLY people in there at around 8:10. After we ordered and sat down I would say about 6 groups of people came in! It was so good and my oh my, we should have split the ice cream! I couldnt finish my No Way Jose!

Thanks for reporting back! Those 2 sundaes are delicious. HAHA sometimes our eyes our bigger than our stomachs 😂 Glad you enjoyed them!

We were in room 2565, which is a water view corner room, and the oddest hotel room we've ever stayed in.
Hi Scott,

We were in the room above your room, #3565, a few years ago. We had a standing balcony and the refrigerator was in its own cabinet instead of in the dresser. Here is a link to my report in the Beach Club room view thread:

The tree outside the window was smaller then, too. :)

Wish I had read this before we went this afternoon. Needed a good chocolate fix so I had the Fudge Mud Slide. Delicious, but too much. (And Pop said the banana split was big enough for 2 people, but ate the whole thing!)

Would anyone currently staying there be able to take a picture of the current autograph book selection in the Beach Club Marketplace please?

We are coming from the UK and selection over here is limited but would like to get one before we head out to the parks

Thanks

We are booked Nov 13-16 for a quick getaway in a garden view room. This is the last deluxe on the list to stay at so I am excited to stay! I would like to request a king bed with a decent view and balcony. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

Which resort? Beach Club? For garden views, the rooms overlook the woods near the EPCOT side of the building, or one of the courtyards- the volleyball courtyard or the back entrance (lakeside) courtyard. A lot of the volleyball courtyard rooms also have peek-a-boo views of the lake.

Make sure you list your requests in priority order. There are limited rooms with a king bed at the resort.

"King bed, please. Full balcony, if possible. Volleyball courtyard view if possible" Or "Full balcony, please. King bed if possible. Volleyball courtayard view preferred"

Something like that.
