*****Official April 2020 thread*****

Hi! We will be at WDW April 3-11! We will be celebrating my oldest daughter’s graduation from HS (a few months early). We originally planned to go right after graduation in June but her brother’s football schedule got in the way, so April it is! We have never been to WDW in April so it’s a first for us. I’m sure it’s going to be super busy but I’m still excited. It’s nice to be on here with all of you counting down the days.

We went this past April 13-22, and I thought the weather was perfect! Better than the summer months we've been before. This reason, along with spring break from school, is why we are looking at April. I hope we can make April 2020, if not will possibly look to November 2020 over Thanksgiving. We need to make a decision soon within the next month or two at least, if not decided by then that's when it'll be pushed off to November.

I feel that this will be a last WDW visit for a while, would like to go to DL next time in the future if possible haven't been there since 2008.

Sadly, my husband and I will no longer be going on April. On the bright side its because he's starting back to college to finish his degree. Third times a charm?
We are going to go the week after his finals so looks like we're joining the May crowd.

We're booked April 11-18 2020 at Shades of Green. First time over spring break and first time at that resort. Looking forward to all the Star Wars fun!

That's cool. We are likely going to book at the same resort, we were there last year in fact in April, because this timeframe doesn't have comparable pricing on the only other places I want to stay along the Boardwalk. But, still not sure 100% sure if booking April or November!

Have not booked yet but planning an April 21-28 trip to celebrate my retirement! DD, DSIL and 2 DGDs. Hoping for crowds a bit lower as Easter and most Spring breaks will be over. This week is Spring vacation in MA.

We are booked this morning (8/30)today at POP!

So I thought about my dates a bit more and changed my trip from April 21-24 to April 27-May 1. I re-looked at some crowd calendars and decided I wanted to be a little further away from the Star Wars half marathon.

AND I'm going to add a night at POFQ on Sunday 4/26, but I'm waiting to book that until I get some more deposit money. Hooray!

I will be lurking here a bit haha. We had been gung ho on doing April in 2020 but the pricing for rooms are so much more than our normal time of year (end of August) so we may end up here in the April 2020 group if a good deal comes along :)

We're booked for 4/25-5/01! At first we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make it (budget-wise), but by changing and removing a few things from our trip, we'll now be at the AoA Little Mermaid rooms. Not my ideal place to stay for our anniversary, but better there than here at home!

I am hoping for decent crowds, as Easter will have passed and most Spring Breaks are done.

OK, decided to go ahead and book with SoG since reservations seem to be moving across the board earlier than last year. Last year it didn't start showing no avail until Oct. Debated YC with a split stay, but way more than I'm willing to pay in April quoted $735 a night, not doing that. Will see if any discounts later become available. Still debating split stay at Swan!

Booked from April 9 to April 12 - short trip, staying at Bay Lake Tower, Park view! Figured it will be too crazy to stay in the park to watch fireworks, so can just come back to the room and relax!

Is it warm enough to swim again in April?

Turning 60 and retiring in January 2020. Part of the celebration is 4/19-5/4 at Ft. Wilderness with season passes. I have tix for Cirque and my Fort reservations already. I have a spread sheet for planning what I want to do when. I intend to do a lot of guided tours and park hopping. It will be the first time I've ever been to WDW for more than a week at a time, and I could also extend it by moving out of Ft. Wilderness if I want to. I look forward to not having to be in a rush. Maybe there alone for part of it. That will be cool, too.!!!!

Heh! Congratz! I'm already planning my retirement in 12 years down in Orlando! :P Are you moving down there?

What ADRs are you hoping to get? We're doing a very compact trip on this round and staying at the Bay Lake, but the crowds will be crazy over Easter.

I'm hoping above all for a California Grill Brunch for Easter morning. Much crossing of fingers!
I also hope to go for a 1900 Park Fare for Lunch one day, and will probably try more other resort restaurants for lunch to get out of the parks and rest before going in for a later night.
Likely to a movie evening and a putt-putt afternoon. Really likely to do rope drop, 3 fast passes and then out of the park.
One of my ideas was to get pastries somewhere the night before to have in the room in the morning for breakfast. Also making microwavable egg muffins to bring as we'll be in a DVC Studio.

Definitely warm enough to swim in April!

I will be going the last week of April and into the first week of May. Love Flower and Garden! I will also be in the parks in two weeks from today and also first week of November. Going to enjoy the AP!
