I've only stayed at CSR once, but I loved it! It was when the tower construction was very new and my only request was a refurbished room. I got Cabanas 8A and loved the room and the location! It was a short walk to the pool (too cold in December) and El Centro. Pepper Market (RIP) was also very tasty. I got pretty lucky with the busses, but I could see why that could be a downer with multiple stops. It is one of the smaller Mods besides POFQ and I would definitely stay there again. I got a "magical" rate during construction and it is the lowest I have ever paid for a Disney resort. I love following the construction. Cute pins and low rates. Win, win!
This is exactly when we stayed at CS as well. It was two years ago. Cheap rates and pins :D I think we paid about $100 night but we booked with points (RIP DIsney resorts on UR). We were in 7A, iirc, which was super convenient for busing but really far for getting to the main bldg.

POFQ is my fav mod and it's b/c of the size. In the end, I've realized I prefer small resorts.

Crazy we were there at the same time! I also like small resorts. I have actually never stayed at POFQ and it makes me sad. I had to cancel my bounceback there last year and ended up visiting WDW at a different time of the year. I will book again one day and enjoy those beignets :cloud9:

POFQ is tied for my favorite resort at WDW. The other one is YC

I avoided POFQ for YEARS, despite all the love it gets here on the board, because I do not care for the theming. But once we finally stayed there, I fell in love. The small size is such a nice treat compared to most of the Disney resorts, the pool is really magical for kids and the beignets are amazing. Like an angel in your mouth lol. Just that good! For this last trip, I wanted POR with the murphy beds so we could each have our own bed. POFQ doesn't offer rooms for 5. In the end, I think I wish we'd booked POFQ and just dealt with the 4 queens. We could have made do and been happier at that resort.

We stayed at POFQ on our honeymoon so maybe that's why, but I love the quaint feel it has. It's so small and quiet compared to other resorts. We love walking through the streets since it looks like a little town and along the river. We always seem to watch a movie on the grass, too, which we never do at any other resort for some reason. I also really like the music that's played at POFQ

Here's my review of SWGE from our preview today! I posted some pictures in this post: https://www.disboards.com/threads/share-your-story-from-visiting-swge.3751432/post-60970346
A lot of them gave advice with our droid and the Play app. The Play app was one of my favorite parts of being there (Dh wasn’t into it). I did a lot of hacking and I think I was practically the only First Order member there lol. It was fun to scan cargo and add things to my inventory.
How do you access and what is the Play App?

POFQ was our favorite resort for a few trips. Then we stayed at YC..... :lovestruc

Yes, both Swan & Dolphin will hold your luggage. Take it to bell services and they will tag everything and give you a receipt.

Thank you for the confirmation!

We hit an awesome rate for our first CSR stay last October due to construction. The pins were a great bonus! We booked preferred so we were in Casitas 5. Great location in my opinion. Short walk to El Centro and easy to walk to 2 different bus stops. Pretty sure the food court was in transition from Pepper Market to El Mercado around that time. We enjoyed the food, but when we went back this April the offerings were different. That time we did get a little burned out on the food options.

So here is our luggage story...We were having our luggage transferred from Pop to POR. When we checked in at POR, I asked the CM about the internal busing. We'd stayed at CS and mastered the busing there for getting around inside the resort. The curmugeon CM told us that *any* bus we got on at the West Depot would eventually get around to the lobby. So, we are waiting on our luggage. Hours have ticked by and we got rained out from the pool but we still had a dinner reservation at T-Rex that we wanted to meet but we wanted our luggage to change clothes. Dh calls bell services and they still haven't gotten our luggage from Pop. Apparently lightning shuts down luggage transfers. About 30 mins later, bell services calls and they have our luggage but cannot bring it to our room due to, you guessed it, lightning. So, dh tells the CM we are coming to get our luggage. We head to the West Depot remembering that *any* bus will take us to the lobby. Get on the first bus that pulls up and it a DS bus. We are going around all the stops and then right as the lobby would be next stop, the bus turns to go into POFQ. I ask the bus driver and she says the DS bus goes by the lobby first and then makes it's way through the resort stops. I explain the CM told us that any bus would take us to the lobby and she says that isn't correct 😩 So, we get off at POFQ and walk back to POR and go to bell services. I'm telling the CM there what happened and she says there really is no internal bus loop at POR like there is at CS and each bus has a different loop they follow. She said to ask each driver what their stops would be, before getting on, if wanting to use the bus as an internal bus loop. After that we were too nervous to try that so we just walked, in what seemed like rain and lightning, everywhere.

I have a paralyzing fear of spiders so I get it. I have encountered a lot of bugs in FL but seeing spiders at Swan was not something I ever expected. Someone needs to do better pest control :(

We took a Lyft from Swan to MCO, With tip it was $47. Swan will store you luggage while you go to DS.

We've had our luggage transferred a few times when we do single night stays at a value before switching over, but I'll only do it when we are planning a full day at the parks and won't need our luggage until returning to the resort that evening. When we moved from Sports to Poly in May, we just did a lyft with our luggage straight to Poly. Wanted to check out the resort a but before heading to the parks and preferred to know our luggage was already there. Will probably do the same thing this trip when we move from Movies to Swan.

Sorry you got bad info about the POR buses. I follow threads and FB groups on POR so I did know the DS bus route is different. As far as I'm aware, all the park buses stop at the South Depot (lobby) last. All the times we have stayed at either PO resorts, there was also an internal bus passing sometimes. We used it multiple times on our last visit to POR, but it's possible that has changed.

If I had to rank resorts...

1. YC/BC
3. Contemporary with a Castle View
3. GF
4. Poly
5. Contemporary (any other view)
**(I assume Boardwalk would fit in here somewhere in this area, but we've never stayed there)
6. POR
And then nothing else is really on my list - we've stayed at CBR, CSR, Pop, ASp, ASm but none are on my list even at this point. If we had to do a value for some reason it would definitely be Pop though.
My list would be:
1. YC/BC
3. BLT
4. CR
4. GF
6. Poly
7. POFQ
and then my list gets murky...

I've never actually stayed in the CR's atrium, only the garden wing. After seeing there are test rooms that have some Incredibles theming I am tempted to upgrade my room and plead with the front desk for one of those test rooms!

BC/YC are a fav of mine but the cost is so, so, so much when you need two rooms. I've had to accept we cannot stay there unless the stars align which isn't very often.
It’s on the App Store. It’s called the Disney parks play app. Then you click wdw or dL and which park. It’s really neat but I really only use it at SWGE

Yeah YC probably has the slight edge for us but it’s so expensive
Yeah, I agree with the cost issue. The whole reason I got into churning was to be able to go to WDW and stay at YC. Now, not sure we will ever go back. I could barely justify the cost the last time we went, two price increases ago.

I wish we'd just kept our luggage and taken a Lyft. Why we thought the other option would be okay is baffling to me now lol.

I asked if there was an internal bus and I was told 'no'. However, I have no idea if that is accurate or not.
