I’ll be there November 29th-December 6th wedding is the 3rd. Dessert parties the 1st and 2nd
I originally wanted the 9th or 11th (I like odd numbers lol) but it was my brothers finals week
I am with you on the odd numbers! I was so glad our wedding worked out to be on an odd date.

We will be at WDW that week and I am still jealous of your VIP tour plans (if that is still in the cards). Wish I could justify it for 12/5 but I think I am the only one in my group who cares enough to spend the money.

I'm going to have to think about requests! We've stayed lake view only once and we were on the inside of the curve but in the center so we looked straight out to the lake. That was nice :boat:

I never want to be inside. Only outer rim, no matter what.
Some of the north end views have castle and fireworks views, plus the lake going towards the fort and WL area. You are looking down on the tennis courts and towards space mountain, plus we would see the WDW railroad going around on the outside probably near the Speedway. Okay, hopefully everybody skips this post, lol.

Oh gosh, there is PLED for AofA that will come in under $300 for those same dates. Poly Studio vs AofA...hmmnn, big price difference obviously, but both great deals.
ETA: I also see what I believe is Pop for $76/nt on Hotwire. So many decisions.

@Kawnipi and others - here you go... just don't go blasting this everywhere :D HAHA!

Random Southwest Release Tip:
So it's possible that in the morning SW will have some of the flights loaded but not yet allow you to search beyond Nov 2nd yet. The way around that is to just play with the link text and you can force their system to search beyond 11/2 before any of the less savvy general public can actually see those flights. Here is a link to the Southwest Search Screen for a one-way flight - you can add "https://www." to the front and then change the items in bold to be your date and your Airport Codes (the first one is where you're going and the second one is your departure airport).

southwest.com/air/booking/index.html?adultPassengersCount=1&departureDate=2019-11-05&departureTimeOfDay=ALL_DAY&destinationAirportCode=PIT&fareType=USD&originationAirportCode=MCO&passengerType=ADULT&returnDate=&returnTimeOfDay=ALL_DAY&seniorPassengersCount=0&tripType=oneway&validate=true

When you load the site it will put in will pre-fill for a date beyond 11/2 and then you click search. If you get this message that means flights aren't loaded yet:
Sorry, no flights were found...
We're sorry, no flights are available that match your search criteria. Please alter your search or choose a different origin/destination.

I haven't tried/tested this for awhile but I've used this method in the past to book flights and had no issues. Good Luck tomorrow :)

Did this get mentioned yet this morning:

Marriott Rolls Out High/Low Season Award Pricing Next Month Along With Other Changes

...Peak and Off-Peak Pricing Go Into Effect September 14...

Another nugget in here:

New Limits on Points Advance Bookings
  • Points advance locks in the room not the rate. Effective September 14 pricing that will apply to points advance bookings will be the current price at the time the member actually redeems points to cover the reservation.
  • Maximum of 3 Points Advance bookings at a time Marriott will be updating their terms to limit members to three points advance bookings at a time. Expect to hear from Marriott if you make a bunch of points advance reservations.
While these changes are unfortunate - I think the changes are a result of people absolutely abusing the points advance to death. I don't blame Marriott, unfortunately I blame the public and bloggers who taught people to abuse the system.

We've stayed at BLT three times. Once outside the ‘C’ looking at the marina. Loved it! Twice inside the ‘C’ and once was dead center so we looked straight at the lake. That was nice. Other time was on one of the sides. I hated it!! looking straight into other people’s rooms was not the view I ever want.

I think I’m canceling the VIP tour. No one in my family thinks it’s worth it and it’s a lot of money for SO and I to swing alone. Maybe one day when we have kids and it will be a better “value”

What is PLED? I can't wrap my brain around this right now. The points for the 4 nights at Poly are 67 in a standard room checking out on Saturday. No preferred rooms available.

I just joined a FB group that is new. It is for finding others that are there and want to split a VIP tour. You might join that for the future option.

Priceline Express Deal. Sorry, I think usually most people write PLE deal.

How is DVC availability in mid December usually? We will all go on that trip, whereas my fall trips we will be splitting to accommodate schedules. I wonder if I should do a nice hotel in Dec and cheap ones for fall to help with costs.

1. Has anyone expedited their CIPpy? I’d love to (assuming I’m approved) but don’t want to draw attention 😬 We leave for WDW in 16 days!!!

How would you request the north side? I doubt that's on the dropdown menu for room requests lol

Bummer, but I get it. When I was thinking of the cost spread over all 5 in my party it felt a bit more worthwhile, but in truth it would be mostly for me. Hoping for some sort of special events or an extension of the Extra EMH through December.

Mid Dec is actually one of the most popular dvc times. What resort? I have my account open right now.

And finding someone that totally understands social security and medicare is almost impossible. Most people who have not reached the age have no real experience with it and once they reach that age and muddle through it, they've gone off to retirement.
It is even extremely difficult for our technicians since the programs are so intertwined so there is an expectation that they not only know our programs but also the Medicare program. I am so glad not to work in the field or call center, interpreting the policy and using our antiquated systems is really a challenging task.
