Could any of you who are DVC owners possibly check studio availability for me 9/3-7 or 9/22-27. I guess it is unlikely, but it looks like renting points for studios beats the AP pricing.

Ugh, DH has a flight that gets in at like 12:15 AM next week and he needs a hotel to stay at nearby to get up at 6 AM and leave the next morning for a horse show. I thought I was going to get him a Microtel for about $60/night, but there are some superrrrr shady reviews. The next cheapest is a Fairfield for $87 a night. I hate paying that much for him to be in the room for basically 5 hours lol. I guess at least I'll get a couple more points from it?

Me too! I should be packing but I’m all stressed out over what I am supposed to be booking and I’ve never even booked when flights first open lol!!
I haven't either. I have looked quite a few times and never seen any rates that impressed me. I've never been looking for peak travel days though.
This time, I need flights to GRR for hockey for President's Day weekend. Surely no-one else wants to go to GRR in Feb, so it probably isn't necessary for me to be stalking the release.

When I booked DHs hotel last night near his brother's place in Cali I made the executive decision for this conference center Sheraton over an airport hotel... choices are lacking a bit anyways and not only was this one closer than the airport hotels, but it also has a lounge and since it's in my name he should get lounge access from my status... checked in via the app on Tues night and could already see he'd been put in a club level room anyways. Less miscellaneous soda spending 😁

Here’s a good article about it: https://dpath.com/medicare-enrollment-hsa-eligibility/

The issue is that Social Security retirement benefits and Part A are currently tied together and once you have Medicare you can no longer contribute to an HSA so you have to delay SS benefits in order to defer Part A. Part B can be delayed but you pay a “penalty” for it. So the idea is to decouple SS benefits and Part A.

So he can certainly buy a car but that is considered income.

And finding someone that totally understands social security and medicare is almost impossible. Most people who have not reached the age have no real experience with it and once they reach that age and muddle through it, they've gone off to retirement.

Seeing Saratoga and poly for 9/3-9/7. Kind of shocked poly is there.

I was checking availability (too slowly, clearly 🙃) and Poly being available was surprising! Hope one of the options works out for you @disneymagicgirl.
