Disney Visa Question

Hello everyone

I had two quick questions regarding the Disney Visa

I have always paid off my trip before the end of the 0% 6 month promotion period. I tried looking for the answer online but what happens if you do not pay that special rate balance before the promo end date? Do you pay all the back interest or does it only start accruing interest on any balance portion left moving forward?

The other question I had was if you were to buy annual passes by themselves on the card through Disney would that qualify for the special financing? I know the tickets are covered when you book a vacation package all at once but was wondering if they would be if they were purchased separate

Thanks

I hade to call chase this week. My questions were different. They were extremely informative. Call them to get 100% right answer. They are very knowledgeable. Phone number on the back of your card.

They are awesome. So you don’t get incorrect info.

I believe you are charged ALL interest, back to the purchase date, not just the remaining balance. But you could call to confirm.

No. Separate ticket purchases do not qualify. Tickets purchased as part of a "package" do.

Enjoy your vacation!

I just called bc I currently have a trip balance and saw that and got nervous, although I don’t foresee us not being able to pay it off with the couple of months we have remaining.

The woman I spoke to assured me, a few times bc I was nervous, that the interest is only applied to the REMAINING balance and is not backpay to my original purchase cost.

Ah, yes! I found it in the Card Member Agreement:
.... After the 6 month promotional period, the applicable APR for purchases, as stated in the Rates and Fees Table, will take effect on any remaining Disney vacation package and/or Disney Vacation Club® balance. ...

That's different than some of my other cards, which will reinstate the full interest charges if the promotional balance is not paid off within the promotion period. Disney Visa is still charging a high interest rate on that balance, though.

The Card Member Agreement is what everyone should reference. It literally does not matter what a Chase customer service rep says on the phone, the company is not bound by it. They are bound by the card member agreement.
