M&M Foods .... reviews and suggestions

Since many Rexalls now carry M&M foods and many of us are shopping there for Air Miles, I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread reviewing some of the foods to help others with their purchases.

To start off, I got a pot roast and had it yesterday. It was delicious. I also got the potato skins but found them quite dry and tasteless. I've also purchased the Nanaimo bars and the brownies, both of which are delicious.

We like the shepherds pie, lasagna, and the buttercream brownies. I also like the artichoke dip. Oh and the dry rub ribs and salt and pepper wings. My mom likes the veggie burgers a lot. And some of the stuffed chicken breasts are good, depends on what you like. I like the bistro ones without breading, if you check the nutrition some are keto friendly.

Great idea for a thread.

I'm always a fan of the Oriental Party Pack. I use it and make some rice or noodles then do a quick stir fry and I've got an easy Chinese food dinner.

The little individual pizzas are also pretty good.

We had the pot roast last month, and agree-it was delicious. I like to buy their curly fries (although now McCain has some), pizza rolls, and my DD likes their mozzarella sticks. (I didn't-no flavour in my mind). I used to buy my mom the individual meals. She quite liked them and they were easy for her to prepare. I like a lot of their stuff: quiche, canneloni, Yule Log, Too Tall cakes . . . As a Max member, I often get a little bit more off on their sales, and I like that. :thumbsup2
I was at two different Rexalls yesterday here in London, and I couldn't see any M&M meats. Sooo disappointed, and surprised since London is usually the test market for things. If anyone in London finds them at a Rexall....please let me know!

Rexall is gradually doing a renovation on all of their older stores and it looks to me like their food section, including the freezers are getting overhauled at that point as well. That's when I've noticed the M&M foods appear. Stores with existing freezer space are gradually getting the foods as well. My mom owns an M&M Foodmarket and hates it 😜

I noticed my M&M store got overhauled a few weeks ago, I walked in and wondered if it was the same store! You have to pick up your own stuff now instead of telling them behind the counter what you want. They are helpful of course, but it's different for sure! I haven't bought anything at Rexall yet, the one by work has the stuff but I usually shop there at lunch and wouldn't want it sitting in the car all day. Plus I get good coupon offers through the Max thing, which I don't think would apply there so I shop at the actual store when I want something that's a good deal.

Oh the individual meals, some of those are good too. I had cabbage rolls the other day for lunch. I like that they have some different things in the meals.

We like the bacon wrapped chicken and bacon wrapped pork from M&Ms. You can usually pick up the 4 pack for between $7.99 - $9.99 and they are very moist and tasty. We grill ours and then are done in about 15 minutes. We just bought one of the Gotham Steel grills (like a George Forman) but haven't cooked these on it yet but expect it will be quick. The one thing I do not recommend is the frozen skinless chicken breasts. Both time we have got them, when we opened the box, half the chicken breasts had freezer burn on them because the bag they are in is not thick.

This is always our New Year's Ever treat!

Ah, but maybe having some stock at Rexall will help her store grow. You know, get people liking it and wanting to see what else MMMeats has? I do like my local M&M stores and they would definitely be my go to, but if I needed a Rexall shop, then I could see me shopping there to meet a minimum spend.

Yes, I like and use my Max coupons regularly. And I agree about the cabbage rolls. DH won't touch them, so it is a nice treat for me when I buy them.

My buys at M&M's

Well I used to bake for staff get togethers,,, I now just buy a couple of the dessert boxes and mix and match.
The strawberry too tall cake is nice served with some fresh strawberries.
The mexican party pack is good with a rice side dish and veggies.
The oriental party pack is my son's favorite, with veggies.
I like the mini Quiche with fresh fruit salad.
The pot roast done in the crockpot with some fresh mini potatoes and veggies is good.
For a quick snack my son's like the pizza rolls.
I used to buy chicken strips but now I stock up on Prime chicken instead.
The ice cream is pretty good too.
The mini vegetable rolls are too spicy for me.
The frozen mixed california vegetables are good,,and often on sale.

Hugs

When I was younger we used to always get lasagna and cabbage rolls. My cousin in San Antonio used to live with us in the summers, and even now he still remembers the cabbage rolls.

Okay gang-how about Rexall locations with M&M Food Market Express?

I see a bunch of them in Toronto and some of the GTA but what about other areas of the province?

@ottawamom are there any in your area?

@Donald - my hero have you seen any in Guelph?

I looked at the Rexall website but I just see the Toronto ones
https://www.rexall.ca/mmfoodmarket
We really like the pot roast, it is kind of a staple in my freezer so if I can buy this at Rexall it is an Air Miles game changer for me

I agree it’s a game changer. I really cannot buy more hair care, and skin care products!

None in my city yet BUT my favourite store is in the middle of a massive renovation project and I wouldn't be surprised if they add the foods. They are directly across the street from a senior's apartment complex and they seem to LOVE the single serving meals.

OK, i just did some digging around on the M & M website and I stand corrected! Seems the 2 large Rexall's in Guelph ARE carrying the products. If you go to this page you'll be able to see ALL of the M & M "Express" locations across the entire country!

Thank you for the link. Nothing close to me, but I know that I'll be hitting up one next week when I am crossing the city (4 times) to pick up DD who will be dog-sitting, and then needs to go to drivers' ed (and back again). LOL I'll probably pick up some gas, too!

Thanks for this list - I just found out that there is a M&M Express at the Rexall near my cottage. I find it really hard to find enough to buy at Rexall so I can earn some points in the summer/ fall as our family does like the M&M's food. I am going to check it out this weekend when we go back up.
