8/30 Princess Michele - 3 (2A/1C) DD22 Taran from the Black Cauldron, my son and I are undecided

8/16: 3 adults one child
I will have my HM wallpaper skirt and ears, DD will have her PotC ears (from Etsy not sure on rest of costume yet),, Not sure yet on other adult/child.

I'm considering puchasing tickets for this even, but have read all kinds of reviews about large crowds and the experience not being the greatest. We will be at MK on Sept 2, anyone have an idea of what crowds might be like on this night early in the season? I just want to be able to provide a fun experience for my family and not have to be in an overly crowded party situation. Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated. Pros and cons and whatever!

You'll get more information about that here:

...but since you are here, I'll give my worthless 2 cents. As there is no true predictor on what the "crowds" will look like the night you go, the more you research the less the crowds will impact your experience IMO. Everyone has different experiences, but even with 1.5 washouts due to weather, we always have a great time and try to go once a year if we can...even if not planning an actual exclusive "Disney trip". We love the atmosphere, entertainment, lower ride waits, the candy, and the photos we get. If you try to do everything possible in one party you will probably be disappointed. Check out what was available last year or after the first party, see what your family would like to do, plan around the realistic can't miss things to do, enjoy whatever else you can do outside of that, and I think it would be a blast. To really enjoy it, minimize the characters you want to see to just a couple/few, and take in the MNSSHP entertainment that can only be found during the party. Make sure your family plans accordingly the morning and afternoon leading up to the party so that they can last until midnight, and make sure to get to MK by 4pm to maximize your time. We can knock out all the things we love in MK plus the MNSSHP exclusives in that 8 hours. It goes by fast though!

lovingeire-4(3A/2C)- self-Daisy, DH-Donald, Three sons - Huey, Dewey, Louie (the boys who are 19, 9 and 5 are still arguing about who's who.)

Based off your signature it sounds like you may be attending a September party? Whether my less than stellar deductions are correct or not :scratchin :magnify: , I need to know the date please ;)

Never mind. My son took one look at it and said "What is that?" If he can't tell it's a peanut then it must really stink! :sad2:

Back to the drawing board!

Costume Help

I'm trying to make a Peanut shaped Trick or Treat bag. I'll be the first to admit I suck at colors and painting. Just be honest please, does this look like a peanut? I have more fabric so I can cut another piece and you will not hurt my feelings. Brutal is just fine.

I can do this... but I feel it looks too perfect and not natural/normal.

Here are some other examples:

Thank you!

Your peanut looks great. I wouldn’t change a thing.

I’m going to two parties. Wasn’t going to do any but the military price of $61 and getting in at 2pm because of DVC made it a no brainer for me. On 8/20 going with DD16 - this is a quick trip for me to do the Galaxies Edge passholder preview and DD is tagging along. I’m going to be Maleficent and she’ll be Aurora (more Disney bounding than full costumes). On 9/10 DS19 and I are going for his pre heading off to the army trip. I’ll probably wear the same thing again and I’m pretty sure DS won’t dress up but I might be able to get him to at least wear a Halloween T-shirt.
