I actually just looked and they conveniently don't have anything from Nov 13-17
UGH sorry to hear that. Does the $1,558 for 4 nights at BWI include tax? I honestly don't think that is too bad for a WDW "Deluxe" with two weekend nights. Obviously not cheap, but considering the rack rate it seems to be a decent discount.

What is the deal with Priority Pass and “The Club” (both of them) at MCO? Our return flight is 8/21 at 7:50 and we were thinking of arriving to the airport early to grab some food and drinks in a lounge but I’m wondering if we will be let in or turned away due to space restrictions.

Anyone here have experience with the lounges at MCO using a PP?

We are flying SW so I believe it takes a little work to get to and from the lounges. I would hate to drag my kids around the airport only to be denied access.

We love Cask and Larder so that would be our second choice but I’d rather eat and drink for free lol. I’m just wondering if the lounges are worth a shot at 4:50 on a Wednesday.

Both. Using actual United miles earned mostly from purchases via MPX and then topped off by transferring a few thousand URs to UA.
IDK why I said spring... I meant Fall 2020 😂

Thank you! I have some time to build up points. I was looking at the UA first class seats for this fall through the UR portal just to get an idea and it was doable, but it seemed like a LOT of points per person.

Yeah that's with tax. That's actually through UCT because Disney doesn't have BW available. Since it's for my birthday I could see us paying that. I'm still wanting to do a cruise in November, though, too. It'll be awhile before FL rates are released.

I don't know about that exact time of day, but we have used a lounge there a few times. The airport was quite crowded the Monday after Thanksgiving and we had no issue getting in. We fly southwest, and while the lounge wasn't on our specific wing, at least we did not have to go through security again, just take the shuttle back and forth.

Good to know. Did you get in with a PP or some other way?

ETA: It looks like they “may” restrict access between 2 and 8 and we would be smack dab in the middle of that timeframe.

Ebates issued a Big Fat Check for last quarter’s earnings to my Amex account today: 26k and some odd MR points!

My CIP3 SUB posted today! Another 87k UR onto DW’s CSR.

My 35k FN cert from my Chase Marriott Premier Plus also deposited promptly to my Marriott account today, exactly on the anniversary date.

I canceled my reservation at the Residence Inn Anaheim next week, got the points back right away but not the 2 35k FN certs that I applied to the reservation. It took a 15 minute call to get those FNs back into my account.

Now I’m deciding whether to book the SpringHill Suites or the Marriott. SpringHill Suites is closer and offers free breakfast, but it looks like the Marriott completed a major renovation recently.

ETA: Settled on SpringHill Suites as I'm a sucker for free breakfast. I see some pastries that we can grab and go, which will save us a few bucks everyday. 4 FN certs would've translated to a 5th Night Free, but we didn't set aside that much time for this trip. Next time!
Is it the Springhill on Katella and Harbor? How far of a walk is that to the park entrance? We are booked at the Fairfield Inn for close proximity but free breakfast is.....free. Where do you see the food offerings? If it's just pastries I would probably pass as I need protein!

I always compare both UR portal and airline website and then go with what works best for me. The UR portal can't secure a booking as early as the UA website. I think today the UR was only booking as far out as July 3, 2020. Meanwhile, the UA flight calendar was out to the 10th.

I also wouldn't advise looking all the way through to the last day end of the UA calendar and go by that. Yesterday, the last few days out on the award calendar had flights from HNL-LAX in first for 180,000 miles per person, one way which is absurd. The cash price was $1945. Today that same flight and date was 66K miles and the cash price was $615. Now that price in the UR portal through my CSR should cost me 41,000 UR points. But, I'd have a to wait another 4 days for it to be bookable on the UR portal. Since there are 6 of us traveling, I don't want to toy with the ticket still being available or going up significantly. More convenient to just get the award flight this time.

Thank you! I have no problem stalking airfare and my dates are set in stone so I will watch 12-11 months from my trip date. The flights seemed to range from $1,100 to $2,500 roundtrip. I was also trying to figure out which planes were the best. It seemed like some with lesser looking 1st class cabins were actually more money. The Dreamliner seemed to be the best option based on the layout/format of the seats.

Yes, that’s the one. The SpringHill Suites Anaheim Resort/Convention Center. Free breakfast is listed as an amenity.

Here’s a small TripAdvisor gallery with pics of the breakfast buffet: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_R...#photos;aggregationId=101&albumid=16&filter=7

Pastries and protein!

The Fairfield Inn is probably the closest Marriott to Disneyland. It’s like a 5 minute walk across the street to the eastern gateway entrance to Disneyland, and then to bag check, lines depending.

The SpringHill Suites is, I’d say, about 10 minutes away but that’s partly because it’s a long block and you have to wait for the lights at two crosswalks. It’s an easy walk in the morning because dozens of other people are walking briskly in the same direction. Night tends to bring out some transients along that stretch of Harbor, but the sidewalk is well lit and there’s a lot of foot traffic, and we’ve never felt in danger.

My PlanePrincess enjoys flying as long as it is in business or first and preferably in a lie flat seat  We've done the trip to Hawaii from the east coast a couple of times with no stop overs. It has always been fine on the way over for us. Coming back is definitely brutal.
That pretty much sounds like my PlanePrince. Thank you for a new nickname. I'm sure my 14-year-old will love it. He was jokingly telling me he was going to call CPS over the long flight he has to endure. I would love to hear that conversation. "My mom is making me sit on a plane for 10 hours to go on a 10 day Disney cruise and stay at the Waldorf in London and the Conrad Hotel in NYC":snooty:. Gotta love a teenagers sense of humor.

Thanks for the info. That breakfast area looks nice but I think I am going to keep our reservation as-is. Protein bars and a short walk will do just fine for us. When on vacation we no longer like getting up early so I doubt we would get much use from it or feel we need to grab and go.

Our DD's (now 25) favorite memory of WDW at age six was eating breakfast out of her fanny pack. Pop Tart, nuts and a banana. The Pop Tart especially sticks out to her because she was NEVER allowed to eat them at home. Crazy what sticks in our minds!

I have a question about PCing DH’s CSR. All of our URs are pooled under that card. When we PC to a CF do we need to put the points on one of our CIPs or will it be okay on the CF?

I made a bonehead move this morning - I applied for CIP3 for DH using my support link...and I put in an email address that didn't exist into the application. :sad2: :scared: It was a combination of a couple other emails I have, and I didn't realize it until I looked at the screenshot that I took of the app. Once I saw that, I created the email right away (fortunately it was available!) and have been calling the status line all day. Good news - he was approved!! Phew! Yesterday, I SM'd Chase to lower the CL on one of his cards, made a payment on that account for the amount of the statement balance, and his CIP3 has a 6K CL so it looks like I cut it pretty close.

He also finally received his Hilton Biz card today, it's been 14 days since applying. It's turned out to be a good churning day!

I also couldn't stand the waiting anymore, and decided to apply for CitiBizAA3 today using an expired mailer - and that one is in review right now. Fingers crossed!

2 MSRs almost done (P2 Plat, P1 Arrival+), 2 (hoping for 3) MSRs to start. I was getting antsy with facing the prospect of no MSR for my upcoming expenses, I'm happy to have kicked that ball down the field a little.

The Club by SW is really easy to get to and back to the SW wing. Just take the other monorail on the right towards international. Once you office monorail, The Club will be right at the end and take elevator to the 2nd floor. Sometime it has been crowded and other times empty but we have always got in. Once you are finished take the monorail back to the main terminal and walk around to the other monorail to the SW wing. We have never had to go back through security and if there are international flights arriving, they will make one of the tram one way.
