9 out of 10 times mine are gone before the lights dim down. Messy things are always eaten first followed by popcorn.
Lol same here. I usually get them in place of a meal so my pretzel bites are normally gone before the movie even starts.

Wow thank you for the kind words! I’m gonna share your comments with Dh because I think he’ll appreciate it. Our second one will probably be our Harajuku day which was a fun day. I’ll post when we have it posted. It might not be for awhile because Dh does most of the editing. I might have to start taking that over since he works all day.
He did a nice job on the video. I subscribed so I can see the next in the series.

I’m not sure if I posted this but we’re going to Busch gardens and seaworld this weekend! We’re using the tickets we got back in May from the daily getaway deals. We booked our hotel stay at the Hampton by Seaworld through chase. It was like 10k URs. They offer free parking, free breakfast, and no resort fee. It says it’s about a 15-17 minute walk from the park so hopefully that won’t be too bad in the heat.

We’ve never been to Busch gardens so I’ve been trying to come up with a plan of attack. I have somewhat of a plan but I’m not sure. It’ll be a Saturday so I’m sure it’ll be busy.

If I went to the movies (mentioned above we almost always rent from the library) it is a large refillable popcorn that I get the refill and then munch on the next day. Yummm

I found an amazingly easy pretzel bite recipe so I make my own now. Make a large batch and freeze. Then just pop a few in the toaster oven to warm up and salt - tasty.
Feel free to share link to recipe :stir:

Yeah he was just using his phone. We won’t be serious vloggers so we just bought a tripod holder and he held it on that. I think his phone is a galaxy S9?
I somehow missed the bathroom tour mirror shot...there is the phone! Phones work well and I plan to get a little handheld tripod for our next trip and try to make a video...what scares me is the editing...no clue where to start/what to use.

Since we have reserved seats, everyone shows up while trailers are playing. In the dark. Food orders are placed and delivered to your seat. In the dark. Pretty much dark until movie and credits are over.
Can’t recall the last time I was in a theater with full lights on. There was the time we accidentally had tickets for the “sensory friendly”show but even then the light were dimmed a bit.
Are you making evil pretzels???
That’s not evil. Just stirring the pot.

Late to the game today, but I had to get in on the target discussion, I used to go at least once a week, for an hour plus-just walking the aisles, looking, wandering-this was before I moved and at my old job when I had lots of off time during the day. It was one of my favorite activities during the weekday, the target was about 5 minutes from my house, and also notably pre-reno. I moved about two years ago, the target nearest my house is under 15 minutes, was reno'd when I moved down here and now I work a much more regular "day job", and I probably go no more than once a month and do not spend my time wandering at all just go get what I need and get out. A big factor for me was my schedule change, but I can honestly say I likely would not have spent as much time at target if it was reno'd prior to my move, for whatever reason just not as an enjoyable experience to browse and the clearance seemed to dry up (I mean who isn't always looking for a deal).

Completely off topic, I have no useful infor to add about churning... Will try to get my links up on dischurners, but never managed to get them up after the last refresh, so we will see how this weekend goes:cool1: Oh and online dating sucks, that is all:badpc:

the clearance seemed to dry up (I mean who isn't always looking for a deal).

And this is what makes me most sad. I love looking at the endcaps or scanning the aisles for clearances stickers at the end of seasons or when the food is getting a refresh. But even the seasonal clearance isn't as good here as it was in NC. I could easily wait for 70-90% there, even at xmas, and still get good stuff. Here I'm lucky at 50% and maybe a few things here or there at 70/90. It also doesn't help with xmas that they are starting clearance before the holiday. The stores here also either order less or there's just more people shopping there than where I was in NC. One of the Target blogs I follow is from 15-20 miles from me and has two Targets within 5 miles of each other and she goes to the one that isn't in the congested area and so always has a ton of stuff left on clearance. Not enough to make me go out there since I'd have to go through the congested area to get there but it's been tempting a couple of times.

completely agree the summer stuff at my target was only 50%, I'm looking for new patio chairs but no way I'm spending that, if they were 70-90% I likely would have gotten a set...

Great Southern Bank peeps. I’m stymied. Can’t figure out how to link a bank account to my GSB checking account. Spent 20 minutes looking. I can’t even find a spot that lists the full account number and routing number so I could pull from another bank.
I'm guessing @elgerber got your answer, but after seeing her comment the other day I remembered that there isn't a link to another account like usual. You just go to the bill pay and put in your account that you are transferring to and pay a "bill" to yourself. It's not the most user friendly site, but for a quick MSR I'll put up with it.

https://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/homemade-soft-pretzel-bites/I got on a bread kick and made the easy bread in a dutch oven, french bread, focaccia bread, and tried making my own sourdough starter. The only thing that failed me was trying to start sourdough starter. Looked for anything with yeast and I love soft pretzels.
Gonna have dd19 make these! Each of us girls has a different talent - I'm the cook, dd19 is the bread maker and dd16 is the dessert maker. Works out very well around here lol! Thanks for sharing the recipe! They look delish!

Well I got the "
Thank you for your request.
Unfortunately, we are unable to approve your application.

We will provide you more detailed information in 7-10 days that explains the reasons for this decision."

From my CIP application. I'm not under 5/24 until 11/19. Considering I've gotten 2 mailers for the CIP now w/ invite codes I felt like I MIGHT have gotten a loophole, but it's not looking that way. So do I want to wait the 7-10 days before I go for the Hilton Biz card? After I finished my Citi #2 MSR, I was going to go for the CIP and then the Hilton Biz. If the CIP is out of the picture, yet again, then I want to get the Hilton Biz.

Did you call the automated status line or was that the message on the screen?

For folks who wonder how to use MRs (amex), I thought this was a very helpful guide-

https://frequentmiler.boardingarea....m_source=BoardingArea&utm_medium=BoardingArea
Also, this article by Lucky describing his dad trying to figure out SW is absolutely me (which is why I have still never flown it)...except his dad is cute, lol.

https://onemileatatime.com/dad-flying-southwest/

Speaking of Amex MRs, I used ours tonight for flights to Kauai. Had to do economy (we have lots of travel planned in the next year and only so many points), 104k MRs out of West Coast nonstop LAX-LIH, 4 ppl RT (26k RT pp). AA flight booked via BA; really wanted AS (would have been the same 26k Avios RT) but no availability for early June 2020 at this point. I searched for the flights on AA - you can search for both AA and AS flights on AA website, looking for nonstop AA saver; then pulled up the AA flight on BA website but for some reason it wouldn't let me book it on the website, I had to call; AS flights won't show on BA website but if you see them on AA you can call BA and book over the phone - very pleasant call, abt 20 mins or so (incl MR transfer), BA waived all booking fees. Cash price of the flights (4 RT total) right now is $2,668 so a little over 2.5 cpp on that redemption (one SUB - 100k Amex Plat - covering this). We got our money's worth from the Plat -- both kids AUs with gold cards so 3xGE plus $200 uber we use mostly in Orlando, I used the $200 airline credit to cover part of UA's unaccompanied minor fee (DD flying solo to Austria to visit family next month), used $50 Saks credit for make up so $50 more to go.
