We went during the week and got there when the water park opened so we were able to do quite a bit before it got crowded. And then we just did the Roaring Rapids and wave pool once it got more crowded. It was 100 degrees and scorching that day. DH got tired of the crowd and we left early to enjoy the pool at the Renaissance.

I don’t know if you are planning to stay the night in the area but the SeaWorld neighborhood hotels offer a free FoL pass for each of the major rides (Fairfield Inn, Springhill, Renaissance) except the new river rapids ride, although that one had basically no wait so it wasn’t needed.
Okay I think we’ve decided we’re gonna do Busch gardens and seaworld. I had no idea the hotels offered a FoL pass. I didn’t even know that was a thing lol. The only time we’ve been to seaworld was on a Monday and we rode Mako 10 times in a row without getting off lol.

I’ll look at those 3 hotels and see which one looks best. I’m planning on us going next weekend on Saturday and Sunday. So my next question is how to best schedule this. I’ve never been to Busch gardens so I’m not sure how long it will take us but we have a 2 1/2 hour drive and then I’d like to go to the seaworld area after which is another 1 1/2 drive back. Do you think that sounds doable in one day?

@Haley R how did the rooms at WL look when you were there recently? I have a friend planning to stay there for her once in a decade trip coming up Feb/Mar 2020 and I know there was a refurb planned but postponed. I'd hate for her trip to be in subpar accommodations since she won't go again for a really long time.
I actually didn’t think the room was bad at all. It’s definitely one of the better themed rooms we’ve ever had at wdw. It still has carpet and the lighting is a little dim but the room was very clean.

almost through the hilton bus MSR, disappointed that I missed out on the higher offer, but that is what it is... Gearing up to apply for my next CIP, wish me luck as I'm pretty nervous. I'm in 1 player mode so planning to use my own link, the recent amex news has given me a bit of pause but realistically it is worth the risk given the UR's, plan to apply in the next day or so, unless there is another 1 player in the same situation (then private message me).

oh crud, I don't think I can cash out to PayPal for these swaybacks bc it has my maiden name. Any suggestions?

ETA: Good news, I was able to change my swagbucks name to my maiden name. Problem solved.
I bought $100 worth on my dh's account and couldn't cash out to PP either. So, he is getting Amazon, which is like cash to us anyways lol.

I got $100 on my account also and cashed all mine out to PP. I can't buy anymore on my account right now but my dh's is still allowing the purchases. I'm just not sure I want more amazon.

So before I could contact chase about upgrading my Marriott Rewards Visa (it’s now the Bonvoy Visa I believe), I got an email from them.
It gave me the chance to get two free nights at a 35,000 point or less hotel if I upgraded to the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless. Then my yearly fee would go up to $95, and I would get a free 35,000 a night hotel night each year on the anniversary.
WWYD? Is it worth it to contact chase and ask for something better? Or is this the best I’m going to get?
I never use this card and was honestly thinking about just closing it bc the free night at 25,000 points or less seemed worthless to me, but I have a balance on a card to pay off first. The upgrade to 35,000 a night free night may be worth it but I’m not sure? I get a 35,000 a night hotel stay from my Amex.
If it matters I’m currently at 4/24. I have Gold Elite status. I have the following cards:
Citibank AA card
Amex Bonvoy (original SPG one)
CF
Disney Visa
CSP
SW Plus
SW premier

Sorry for the ramble...Thanks in advance to you super helpful experts:)

I bought a $15 Uber gc from Newegg and added it to my Uber account. It doesn't show up in Uber Eats. Can I not use it for Uber Eats???

AFAIK, Uber Eats doesn't have anywhere you can see your Uber credit balance. I always open up the Uber app and check Payment>Uber Cash for my gift card balance. Uber Eats will (or at least should) charge to your Uber Cash balance.

0/2 in trying to get Marriott nights paid with my points credited to hubby's account. This time seemed promising as front desk was able to add hubby's number to the reservation and asked if we wanted points or pantry item, went with points - mistake. Since whatever she did didn't take, no points and no night credit. Doesn't seem to be in the cards for us.

Awesome! Thanks.

Does your upgrade offer require you to spend any amount of money to get the 2 Free Nights up to 35k Marriott points?

Some variations of this offer require some spend, and some upgrade offers are for only 1 FN.

Generally speaking, this is a great offer if you have an idea where you'd spend those 35k FN certificates. For example, there are several Marriott hotels around Disneyland where an award night will cost you 35k points. The cash price of these hotels could run in the mid-$100s to $300+. I've also used a 35k FN cert at the Sheraton Universal hotel next to Universal Studios Hollywood, and iirc the cash price was in the high-$200s.

So the proposition is would you upgrade for 2 FN certs worth $300-600+, and do you think you can get more than a $95 value out of the FN certificate you'd get every year when you pay the annual fee? There are several of us who continue to hold Chase and Amex Marriott Bonvoy cards and pay the annual fee every year because we know we can redeem the FN certificates for hotel rooms that have a cash value more than the AF.

I notice you also have the Amex Bonvoy (original SPG) card. That comes with a 35k FN cert after you pay your AF too. So between the Chase Marriott Boundless and Amex Bonvoy, that's two 35k FN certs you can use every year. That's a weekend covered by FN certs.

A few things to consider:

- An upgrade to the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card will not count as a new card against 5/24.

- Marriott is planning to introduce peak and off-peak pricing to their award chart sometime this year. So while a Category 5 hotel is currently 35k Marriott points on any date of the year, peak pricing would mean that hotel goes up to 40k points at peak dates: https://www.marriott.com/loyalty/pointsGridPopUp.mi This would devalue your 35k FN certs in that you'd be limited to using them only when the awards are at off peak or standard pricing.

- If you accept the upgrade offer, you could be ruling yourself out of the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant (formerly SPG Lux) for the next two years. The following restrictive fine print applies to the

Bonvoy Brilliant: Welcome offer not available to applicants who (i) have or have had The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card from JPMorgan or the J.P. Morgan Ritz-Carlton Rewards® Credit Card in the last 30 days, (ii) have acquired the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy™ Premier Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Rewards®Premier Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold™ Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy™ Premier Plus Business Credit Card from Chase or the Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Business Credit Card from Chase in the last 90 days, or (iii) received a new Card Member bonus or upgrade offer for the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card from Chase, Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy™ Premier Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold™ Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy™ Premier Plus Business Credit Card from Chase or the Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Business Credit Card from Chase in the last 24 months.

Thanks so much for such a thorough response! My offer only says I need to make one purchase with no dollar amount specified. I just have to see when my free nights will expire just to be sure I can use them.
I had planned to check out a few 35k hotels in the next few months so it is prob worth it for me, esp if this is the best offer I’ll get and it won’t hurt my 5/24.
Thanks again!

👍 Marriott Free Night certs expire 1 year from issuance. You have use them for a stay within one year, not just book within one year. I'm not sure what the latest DPs are about Marriott granting extensions.
