New Amex Offers
Spend $25 at Bed Bath and Beyond get $5 back. EBags spend $100 get $20 back. California Pizza Kitchen spend $40 get $10. Idk if this is well known but I add all the offers im not going to use to a sock drawer card. I feel like I get more offers that way.

Thanks for the heads up.

However, I noticed something concerning when I was adding offers. Amex Offers come in cash back/statement credit and Membership Rewards versions. As I was flipping through my Amex app, I got the eBags offer in cash back on my Platinum and in MRs on several of my biz charge cards. Eventually, I added the eBags MR offer to my new Biz Plat and went back to add the eBags cash back offer to my personal Plat -- but the cash back offer disappeared from my Plat!

Previously, Amex treated the cash back and MR versions of an offer to the same merchant as different offers, so you could add both offers to different cards or even the same card if you're lucky enough for both to appear. I don't know if Amex is now treating cash back and MR versions of an offer as the same offer now, but after I added the MR version of the eBags offer to one card, the cash back version disappeared from another card just like if you had already added the offer to one of your other cards. (Unless the eBags cash back offer fully subscribed within the few minutes I was flipping through offers on other cards, but that's unlikely.)

P.S. I add all the wine, meal prep kits, a lot of the high-end fashion and home decor, streaming and web services offers that I'm never going to use onto my lesser used cards just so they don't clutter up the Available offers tab. I don't know if it gets me more offers, but it makes new and good ones easier to spot.

ETA: Further testing of adding the MR offer first did not remove the corresponding cash back offer from other cards. I can’t explain what happened to my Ebags cash back offer that disappeared from my Plat. :confused3

.....and I just realized i forgot (again) to use Discover at the grocery store..... I'm usually ok at remembering which card to use! Discover is just never on my radar even tho it's sitting RIGHT there in my wallet among my other needed cards! And I like 5% cashback too! :rotfl2: :scared:
Discover is restaurants and PayPal this quarter so why would you need to use at the grocery store?

I need some advice on rental cars please!

I have a rental car booked through the UR Portal using my CIP account, all on UR’s, with Alamo with my DH as the driver for our trip this Sat. Does this include any rental car insurance coverage? I initially thought if I used his Arrival Plus to guarantee the reservation, that would cover us in case of an accident, but the more I think about it I don’t think it would.

I have a few other reservations I could use instead, paying OOP instead and cashing out UR’s, so that we could be covered in case of an accident. Would that be a better option? The cheaper option I have is Dollar, I’d rather use Alamo but that one is $34 more.

All of this and I’ve also been on the phone with Alamo and Chase for an hour trying to straighten out the existing reservation because Alamo doesn’t show that the reservation is paid (apparently this has been happening a lot from what the rep said). Man, this is stressing me out!

I see that Staples will have no fee MCGC next week, but those do not work well with Serve, correct?
I’m skipping it. They have fraud issues and apparently don’t work at Walmart?? There was a post on the MS thread on reddit that they were able to get cashback at stop and shop with them but that died. I was going to try that.

These are good for liquidating on Plastiq if you've got bills to pay. The last time I bought MCGCs from Staples, they all coded with just a 1% fee.

Wow! This is good to watch out for. I have 2x MRs at Staples and added the $10 off $40. Both are still there, but the previous Staples offer is pretty old.

Hmmm....I had eBags and BBB, MRs on my Plat and $ on my BBP and I was able to add them both just fine.

Also an AmEx offer for Pandora Spend 9.99 get 9.99, expires 12/18
* Single purchase of $9.99 or more online at Pandora.com

It was mentioned that AmEx should be allowing more than 100 offers to show but my one card that always has lots of offers was stuck at 100 still. I added a few to that card and another, and I'm still showing just 100 (but the offers I couldn't view before popped up like normal.) I guess they haven't rolled it out to all accounts.

It’s currently pouring in Chicago! I hope my flight is not delayed as I am ready to be home with my boys. I did “volunteer” to take a later flight for a $650 voucher. I doubt it will be needed since there are still seats on my 2:30 pm flight.

ETA: We went to Chicago Cut last night and it was delicious and saw the fireworks over the lake from Navy Pier. While we were waiting for the fireworks to start, I mentioned to my co-worker that it smelled like skunk cabbage and he said it was probably weed. I had no idea. I had to walk away from that area because it was making me lightheaded and feeling sick.

I am on my iPad and went through the website not the app.

I'm going to take my losses and do this on a browser next time. Amex Offers has been so buggy this week, I didn't even want to deal with the website. Maybe the cash back offer disappearing is part of the ongoing glitches? Anyway, we were able to add the eBags and BB&B offers in MR on both my and DW's cards. It's difficult to stack more than 2 Amex Offers at eBags anyway. And I value MR more, but with Amex's ability to claw back and even shut down our accounts whenever and for whatever reason they like, I'm a bit wary of viewing MR as savings.

I thought it was restaurants and PayPal this quarter for discover. Didn’t know it was grocery stores. Oops I answered before reading all the comments this morning. Sorry.

Spend $25 or more, get $5 back
U.S. Office Supply Stores

DETAILS

Get a one-time $5 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $25+ in one or more transactions in-store at select US office supply stores by 9/30/2019. See terms for exclusions.

Is this a new offer?

Also, would I be able to use 3 Amex Cards in 1 transaction at Staples? I have 2 staples - $10/40 & $5/25. I would like to buy $100 DGC using all 3 offers.

hmmm... looks like BBP is gonna have a twin brother... BBC!

Not a fan of the solid border, but I like the new design.
