Cass, Rob & Kira - Disneyland May 2019 - "Sniff...snifff. I think I smell Wi-Fi!!!"

Finally caught up and sad that the trip is over! I really fall in love with DL more each time I visit. Too much to comment on but looks like a fabulous trip!

I have to emphatically state that I did NOT partake in all 19 dole whips, maybe like 17 though.

LOL, yes 17 for sure :rotfl2:

So you want me to throw up on you? Is that what you are saying?

Umm, definitely not but it would be totally fun to go with you on something like that! :rotfl:

You had way better food options than we did at our terminal!

We have always flown Westjet, which goes out of Terminal 2 and they have sucky options for food as well so now I know to fly Air Canada when going to LAX ::yes::

Those prints look amazing above your bed. Really enjoyed your trip report, thanks once again for sharing your adventures with us all.

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for tagging along!

AGREED! I really appreciate them for their differences, honestly.

This looks great!

Thanks again for sharing your vacation with us! It was a wonderful read, and you seem like such a happy little family!

Thanks so much for your posts and sweet comments :grouphug:

Another great report, Cass! Can't wait for the next one...We will be in DLR in about a month. We will (as always) be using your food tips. When is Rob going to get to SWGE?!! Next trip?

Oooh, have fun!!! :goodvibes

I wish I was going back already, we love it so much! :woohoo:

I have a work thing next February in Orlando, Rob is joining me for a couple of days afterwards and him and I will be scoping out SWGE then :cool1:

The pizza at WP is SOOOOOO goooooodddddd!!! LOL The one thing we missed by flying home via SNA this past March instead of LAX - the food options at SNA were absolutely pathetic. We got some Starbucks then waited til our layover in Seattle where we had lounge access and feasted like Kings :rotfl2:

Oh those prints look fantastic in your bedroom!

Yes, we love WP food!!! Sooo good!

At least you had lounger access in Seattle :woohoo:

I'm starting to get used to them hanging on the wall and I love it! :cool1:

Awwwwwww! The end? Noooooooo!

Your sign and prints look fantastic. Great job!

Thank you so much for taking us along on another one of your adventures. Sooooooo, where are we going next?

I know, right? Done already!

Thanks for the kind words, as always

We may or not be spending some time at Universal Orlando this summer :rolleyes1

What a wonderful report!!!

So...uh...when's your next trip?? :rolleyes1

Thank you :grouphug:

Universal Orlando in the 200º weather this summer, baby!! :hyper::rotfl2:

I really loved your trip report and all of the wonderful pictures. I love your luggage too. It has made waiting for our October trip tolerable. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks! October will be here before you know it! :cool1:

“Cheesed My Grits”!!!! :D:D:D:D:D Too too funny, Cass!

Well, I think you talked me into trying DL at least once. Chuck and I would love going with our favorite Tour Guide. We have to make that happen sometime.

I really love how you guys still buy souvenirs on your trips. We’ve stopped doing that for ourselves. Now we just buy too many for our little kiddos.

Your food pics always look so delicious. I never remember to take them because I’m always digging in before it dawns on me.

Now, I have to go back and reread your posts because I totally missed the part about the “plaids”. I have no idea who/what they are.

I keep offering but haven't gotten any takers so far.

Gosh, I can't imagine going to Disney and not getting a few souvies :p

We are all trained so well LOL! We went out for pizza on Father's Day and Kira was waiting for me to take pics of the pizza :lmao:I had to remind her we're not in Disney anymore. LOL!

Not sure if I mentioned it? When you see a CM in plaid, they are specially trained CM's who do tours. When you see a plaid anywhere, they are doing a tour or often, in Disneyland, they are escorting VIP's. So if you ever see a plaid, look who they're with ;)

Thank you for another awesome, detailed and beautiful pictures report.

Thanks for your kind posts

Awesome, as always!

Thank you so much :grouphug:

what an awesome trip and trip report! And love all the souvenirs.

Thanks! :goodvibes I bought a few other things but didn't take pics of them. :rolleyes2

Loved your report and your photos! That Disneyland sign looks so good above your bed.
I wish I had more of a chance to wear Hoodies, they always have so many cute ones.

Thanks! :flower:

You need to move more north 8-):rotfl2:

Yes, Jill, I feel the same way, I fall in love with it more on each trip! :worship::love:

Thanks for always reading and posting comments

Wonderful trip!! I love how long you spend in the parks at DL, you were all so relaxed and enjoyed your time together. Thanks so much Cass for sharing! I am not able to go to DL or WDW often and so I live through you and your family!

You are so right, people make you think you can't love both DL and WDW and you absolutely can!

I'm glad you had a fun trip! Funny thing on your last night - if you had gone to White Water Snacks, we may have run into each other as we ate dinner there before going back for fireworks! In fact, I probably walked right by the pool when you guys were there!

I managed to unpack all of our bags but laundry would have to wait for the next day, we had the series finale of Game of Thrones to watch! :cool1:

It had aired on HBO during our flight and we didn't want FB to spoil the ending for us so we stayed up to watch it. :thumbsup2
Very important thing to do! When I was in WDW there were 2 episodes and I made sure to stay up late each night watching them because I totally would have been spoiled!

I'm glad you can follow us on our journeys and hopefully you can make it to the parks soon. :flower:

You bet! I love them both so much and for such different reasons too!

Oh man! Really??!! Now I wish we had eaten at WWS even more! ::yes::

I've never watched a show on vacation but this was the series finale and I knew it would be ALL over the media the next day. I was actually so tired but I am glad I stayed up to watch it. :goodvibes

Timon i cant tell u how much i have enjoyed reading your trip report. I was there too may 12 - 16th with my 2015 momom but unfortunately my mom got the stomach flu on the third day,and we i had to take her to the hospital twice. The morning that u were eating at the carnation cafe when it was raining is when she got released. We are going back in nov for a redo. We stayed a t teh grand california too and they were great through it all. They picked us up from the hospital and even comped our xtra night. It s been fun thinking about what we were doing in teh park at teh same time u guys were there. Im also reading your trip report from 2015. Its helping me with the disneyland blues

Thanks for posting the vids, they are awesome!!

I noticed you are no longer part of the our Alaska sailing group :( bummer, it would have been fun to meet in person! But Universal will be fuuuuunnnnnn!!!

Yeah-even Disneyland Daily was there! Though I wasn’t paying attention so didn’t realize she was there until I saw her instagram post the next day!

Oh wow! That's cool! I rarely pay attention to other people at the parks, I am too busy enjoying Disney to look at others. Unless they bother me for whatever reason :lmao:

Thanks for commenting! I am so sorry about your Mom. Sucks to be sick on a Disney vacation! :sad1: I hope your November trip goes much better :thumbsup2

Yeah, it was either 2 of us on the cruise or 3 of us in Universal. :rolleyes1 We chose wisely...we hope :rotfl2:

One day though, we will meet, I'm sure ::yes:: :thumbsup2

Finally got a chance to come finish reading and leave a comment!

The Dole whip count had me cracking up, I haven’t been since they opened Tropical Hideaway and added the new flavors and I’m pretty sure I will need to try all of them in every combo at least once. Yum.

It looks like you guys had an amazing time and got to do, eat, and see so much. You definitely gave me some ideas for my trip next month.

Loved all your pics, but I especially loved your videos at the end. They were the perfect addition after reading through your whole report :)

Thanks so much for sharing your awesome trip with us!

Thanks so much for the kind, wonderful comments

I am so glad I gave you a few ideas for your next trip, that's exactly why I read trip reports myself :goodvibes

Making the videos are my favourite part of taking trips, we watch them over and over. I just finished watching our first Christmas cruise from 2016 and was laughing how much my kiddo has changed in two short years. ::yes::

All I know is I want to try a Raspberry dole whip! Lol!! I really enjoyed your trip report and love all the pictures and videos you posted, looks like a fun trip! Thanks for sharing! Also we need to try that crazy shake and burger place!! Yummm!! I can't wait until our next trip for Spring break in April of 2020!

You are so welcome! I enjoyed reading this TR so much I had to go read some of your other ones. I can’t believe how much your daughter has grown in the last couple of years! My oldest just turned 10, and I am in denial at how much she will grow between now and 12-13 (even though I was about her age when I started the gigantic growth spurt that shot me up a good 10” in a year, it happens so fast! Haha!)

Oh and those burgers too!!

10 inches in a year? Whoa! 😱 Kira is very close to my height now and she is only 12, I wonder how tall she will be after she's all done growing. 🤔🤩

I was taller than my mom at age 10 but that wasn't hard, she was only 5 foot nothin' 😜🤗

Hi,
Just found your trip report whilst researching for a “potential” trip next year! You have a lovely family and your DH has such a way with words.
I really like little groot - my younger daughter will really want one of these and this will be a change to Keith (a pink bunny key ring) that has made several appearances in the WDW trip report being written by my older daughter at the moment.
I totally get your “WiFi” issues - we don’t have any data on a plan due to the cost!
Looking forward to catching up on page 4 🤫
Ela

Timon we also love the Carnation cafe and have done it for breakfast almost every trip, Do u think it is necesssary to have a reservation for lunch or dinner? What does that baked potato soup taste like? I've heard the burgers there are to die for.

I'm glad you found my trippie :cool1:

The Groot was super cute and we saw them all over the resort, it was so fun to see how everyone wore them. One guy had him on the top of his hat :rotfl2:

Yeah, I hope they work on their WiFi soon, sucks when you don't have it and have to use your data to get the Max Passes :scared:

Enjoy the rest of the report :thumbsup2

In my experience, I've seen people without reservations being turned away every time we've eaten there so yes, highly recommend reservations. ::yes::

Hmmm, it tastes like really good baked potato soup LOL! Not sure how to explain it, like a baked potato but in a soup. :lmao: If you like baked potatoes, you will love the soup. :goodvibes

I had the burger there years ago. I didn't care for it. I've heard people rave about the patty melt, tried that 2 years ago, didn't care for that one either. If you want a burger, go to Black Tap ;)

But everyone has different palates, so it's always good to try it once and make your own decision. ::yes::
