Without a question, whichever of the cheaper ones gives a free breakfast. lol I can't imagine what would entice me to pay 5x more for a hotel. Though I am the queen of cheapness and I really don't like fancy hotels. The only thing that would make me pay more would be some kind of unlimited Fastpass deal, otherwise, cheapy wins.

I owe like 12k for my wedding in September so I also kinda want to just do a cheap trip. I don’t eat breakfast (i hate the type of food eggs bacon pancakes yuck lol I’m the person ordering Bengal bbq at 10 am though lol) so I could just do the cheapest option.

We got office puppies today!!!!

Omg I want one!

I agree that the AA miles cost is crazy. Or at least that was my thought when I priced out my fave which is your fave as well. I'd say DLH for a change since you have VGC anyway. Or just save a bunch and pick one of the offsite places and plan some amazing overseas trip with those miles. ;)

I do want to save them but SO was all like you don’t know when they will be devalued and the Disney option would disappear so use the miles instead of paying cash but I want to see the world!!! They could also be used at the Disneyland Paris hotels too and that would be fun.

I love Dave and busters. My dad always took us when we were kids in Atlanta. I’ve been to the one in Omaha too. I’m just not sure where to stay at Disney springs
Are you counting the villas in your list of WDW resorts to try? What about SSR? I've honestly never stayed there, but the studios go to cash a lot and are really affordable (compared to deluxe resorts) with the AP rate. It just so happens to also house the main DVC preview center if you wanted to try and convince DH to take the tour for that $150 gift card 8-)

I wanted to do a Hilton since we have the points and we wanted to use them before my AF hits. We won’t be keeping the card so we don’t have long to use gold status

I agree with your SO about miles and points being devalued. The only reason I'm "hoarding" at the moment is because I am planning a trip in 2020 and I have to wait a few weeks until I can book flights and hotels. Otherwise I'd spend what I have. Now that you mention it, I'll vote for DLP! :goodvibes

I thought I quoted an earlier post... we stayed at the DT. It was fine, would be okay staying again on points. I posted a review in the hotel thread. You can walk to DS but it's basically the farthest hotel. Wasn't a deal breaker for us because it was the least points.

Has anyone noticed that the agency that usually has magical Disney deals only has Pop century available in 2020 so far? I was hoping if I couldn’t use AA miles I could at least get a good rate through the TA and use discount gift cards. I guess Disney isn’t letting anyone have booking access for their rooms in 2020.

I am really considering giving Universal my business instead for 2020. I am going to think about it this month and book by Aug. I’m tired of waiting around to book a Disney room. I want my plans done!
I saw the email as well and also thought that was super odd. I think Disney is anticipating very high crowds for 2020 and thinking they can fill the rooms without the wholesale market. Will be interesting to watch what happens as SWGE opens

Is Barclay MSR period straight 90 days? I’ve somehow have already had it 2 months and only at $2500. Yikes I need to get moving.

If an AmEX Rose Gold transaction was going to show 4x would it do so immediately? I have a $500 transaction at Weis Markets (grocery store) on 7/8 that doesn’t have the 4x beside it but all of my previous Weis transactions have 4x as they should. And, of course, I don’t see a chat feature on my laptop or iPad.
It can take up to 5 days to show the bonus category. I just had one show up today from July 4th.

I think we’re just gonna go to Disney springs and hang out that day. I might try to get a fp for something the day of but I’m not planning on going into the parks. I’ll have to go look for your review

SWGE at Disneyland continues to knock the crowds right out of the park according to the Rumor Mill. They’re claiming a hiring freeze and budget cutbacks are being implemented immediately due to soft crowds at the parks and hotels...
can confirm. management is pushing for more ppl to take vacations and days off. lol

I’m laughing at all of this because maybe, perhaps, possibly Disney raised their prices a little too much and people started doing the math?

I hope this happens at wdw too but it seems the SWGE fans are holding out for wdw. I like SW but it’s not Disney to me and it’s not a big deal to me if I see it opening day or two years later. So I don’t understand why DLR is seeing such small crowds yet there seems to be lots more hype about it at wdw.

I think disney thought it was gonna be packed. which probably made ppl stay away because of it. I warned a few friends about it, most agreed and stayed away. Good example to see is cast sign ins.
Before SWGE opened, it was complete blackout from June --> September.
now, its basically opened every week minus weekends.
