So here is something weird....This is how my BOG lunch looks in MDE. Only it says it was made by me but it is set up like someone else made it and I can't modify/cancel. It also doesn't have our avatars showing. For the record, I did make the ADR and did so from the app. It is currently not showing AT ALL in the app. Help!

I always cancel/manage dining through the MDE app. It seems to be much more reliable and will still show all the options. This happens to me a lot!

SM'd Chase to move credit limits around. My original Freedom (which I'm going to upgrade to CSR) only ever had a $2k limit, and silly me I slashed my original CSR down to $5k after downgrading it because I wanted to help myself with auto approvals

So I asked to move $5k of my Marriott limit and $3k of my Disney limit to the Freedom. Marriott went okay... then they took $3k from the Freedom and moved it to Disney :badpc:

@CyndiLouWho or any other Chicagoians...I currently have a 6:15 pm flight on a Thurs evening looked from ORD. I am thinking traffic will be horrible trying to get from the Hilton downtown to ORD, would a 2:30 pm flight be better? Or how much time should I allow to ORD? We are flying United since they are gov't contract carrier and I will probably just have carry-ons so I don't have to wait for luggage.
Traffic is bad all the time these days! How are you planning on getting to the airport? The Blue line CTA goes to ORD which would eliminate the traffic on the Kennedy.

Here's a link to the CTA website that can help you plan your trip. Looks like a total of about 1 hour including a 15 minute walk from the Hilton to the Blue line stop. https://tripplanner.rtachicago.org/ccg3/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2

OK, I have DS folding towels but they aren't quite "right", do I re-fold later...

I have this issue too. lol My problem is I taught all of mine how to fold towels at a young age. Then about 5 or so years ago, I switched to a different fold that I like much better. But darn if I can get them to relearn how to fold. Sometimes I let it go, other times I just cant. Sometimes I say to myself, it is fine, they will be dirty in a week anyway but go to put them away and refold as I am putting them in. lol I have a friend that I stay with frequently and she just shoves them in her cupboard in a heap. :scared1: She laughs at me when I reorganize her linens every time I stay there.

Don’t know if anyone else answered yet but traffic is always bad here unless it’s 3 am. Lol. Just for giggles I checked right now and it’s 58 minutes from Hilton to O’Hare. I would give yourself an hour plus for traffic almost anytime and if you don’t have Pre-check, 11/2-2 hours at the airport. Maybe I’m just unlucky but I have had super long waits at O’Hare before I got GE, and even after got pulled aside for hand screening.
I’d probably do the 2:30 but partly because if that flight was delayed or cancelled, there would be a later option.

Budget-related question: fluoride treatments for adult teeth, yes or no? I went to a new dentist today and the hygienist recommended it. Said insurance likely won't cover it and it's $40. I'm pretty sure DH and I have had them in the past but our most recent ex-dentist didn't recommend (either that or we said no at first and weren't asked again).

I’d be gone lol.
Says the person who had a cockroach in their house.
It's the train. It's a piece of cake to take from O'Hare into the city and vice versa. One of many things I love about Chicago.

We took it both ways in May. My kids aren't mass transit kids so I thought it was a good experience for them:)
You are better than me. Can’t recall the last time I took CTA. Of course I live in the burbs and there’s no CTA out here. I do on occasion take the Metra train into Chicago but it just goes East-West, no option to airport

Dh and I never do fluoride if it isn’t covered by insurance

Hey, a cockroach in the kitchen sink and a rat in the ceiling fan above your head are completely different things!

Do you only drink bottled water? Do you have a history of cavities?

If not, I'd skip it.

Lounge question---what kind are in the Austin airport? I know there are no PP locations there.

I could start dh on Amex for his next card if there's a good lounge there  He'll be flying SW. This will be in September for a conference.

I’m pretty sure no one from my school has ever been famous and probably never will be lol
Some guys from Plain White Tees (band) went to my HS. Any others are more infamous than famous.

I think it was a mouse. I’d rather have a mouse than a roach. Just sayin.
