I guess because I don't pay attention to the stuff Tom Hanks does I didn't realize he had a production company named Play Tone. Saw it at the end of the first ep of CNN's The Movies. Made me smile at his nod to That Thing You Do.

Also, so far the movies is really good. It was only about the 80's which made me realize how many of those I haven't seen too so I think next year is going to be movies of the 80's. I'm still plugging along at the classic/older one's. Haven't missed a weekend yet

Is this re the HHBiz PP? I don’t think it will work on the restaurants anymore, just the lounges themselves, since its Amex. I have 0 experience with using PP other than having it, but I think that’s what I read recently. Is that right? I still need to call or chat to get my PP for my Hilton biz card. Is a Disney cruise worth it even for two adults? I have looked at vlogs and read up about them. Dh and I didn’t feel like there was a lot we’d enjoy unless we paid for excursions which is even more money. At that point it makes me want to just fly there

No need to pay for excursions, you can book those with URs. We have only been on 1 cruise, but there was far more to do than we could wish for. Read about stuff beforehand and by day 7 we’re like hey we never got to do xyz...

That's true, it does include food and everything. I guess I was only thinking about the room part of it. Is an inside room okay or do most people go for a balcony?

We had ocean view (giant porthole) and it was nice. Balcony would have been lovely but it was over $2k more on our cruise. We didn’t spend a ton of time in our room.

I feel your pain. Similar thing happened to us, 23rd floor. While going up would have been worse, my legs hurt for 3 days afterwards.

You risk never getting another card from Chase if you cancel early. No need to ask for a refund, they do it automatically.

I mean, the AirPods themselves are exactly the same. The wireless case costs $80 direct from Apple and its about $28 different with the sale and offer on Amazon. I don't think that is too bad and it may be nice to just leave them on a wireless charger. Definitely not something I "need." I am going back and forth lol

I thought the new v.2 is quicker to connect to devices and sound just slightly better with a slightly better battery life? Are they selling v.1 with the wireless case? I thought about the wireless case, but would then need the pad and it would be a pain to take the phone out of the case to charge it all the time.

Yes, sorry I meant the new version with/without the wireless case have the identical AirPods inside. I am hoping to pick up a wireless charging pad with my other Amex promo on Prime Day HAHA

Gotcha...my wife actually got a wireless charging pad in one the goodie bags she got at some conference she went too. I looked at it but there was no info on it. I don't trust "no-name" things that I can't research.

100% agree! I only use Apple chargers with outlets or a reliable brand for my car charger. I was really hoping for an AirPower (RIP). I figure if I can get a Belkin or Mophie wireless charger and I should be ok.

I was looking at Anker as well as they have some pretty good battery packs for on the go changing. That AirPower would have been sweet...what a shame.

ankers are good but one thing i dislike about them is that they are pretty expensive.
i have about 2-3 of them because they sometimes go on sale, i typically buy aukey or ravpower.

So we think when they did all the work to fill the holes under the house a couple weeks ago to keep the mice out there was one still in the walls. I'd heard it this morning in the kitchen wall this morning. Getting ready for bed now and I heard something and realized it couldn't be birds since it's dark out. Get mom and we're standing in the bathroom listening and then see a tail in the fan cover. Now to cover the sides of the cover so we can go to bed. Guessing it can't figure out how to get out and thankfully didn't make the 8 ft jump. We never use the fan and really won't now, ick. Happy dreams everyone! I'd like to request fairy dream adventure, part 7 for tonight

I reconnected with an old friend today who is in town on tour. We had a good laugh when we both whipped out our CSRs to pay for dinner and then started comparing notes. He doesn't churn but instead puts all of his hotel and dining charges on his CSR and then uses his per diem allowance from his employer to pay it off. Voila, easy 3x points on almost all of the money he spends and very little of it is actually out of pocket. He has been doing this for three years now, gathers enough points for an all-inclusive vacation every year, and just signed up for another long contract. It's a winning strategy for someone who doesn't have the day-to-day bandwidth to keep on top of different MSRs but travels a lot for work. Just something to keep in mind if any of us ever go out on tour (unlikely for me but you never know!)

Going to look into Plastique for my mortgage for the next couple of months as soon as I get that Citi card in the mail. It is a MasterCard so that should be OK, as far as I can tell.

I've seen some of you talk about a 'deal' (or maybe it's a sale?) where the Plastique fee is less than the regular 2.5%. Is this something you're getting for being a past customer, or how is that working? I'll probably go ahead and do it regardless, but I figured I should save every bit I can.

This may be old news I missed since I don't pay too much attention to booking Disney hotels but I discovered that Disney hotels can be booked with Avios while looking for something completely different. I figured I'd share. URs transfer to BA Avios and so do Amex MR. I know some don't bother with Amex but it may be an option for those looking to book Disney hotels with points since MRs will transfer 1:1 to BA. I don't know if adding a throwaway rental car would make the rate better or not. But with Amex and now Chase doing transfer bonuses it might be feasible for some. Here are some random screenshots for a one night booking on Sept 14 at the Swan, Dolphin and Wilderness Lodge.
