So reading back in the thread on upgrading cards to CSR...
I've got two Freedoms currently. I'm thinking:
  • Opened 10/12, AF date is 11/1
  • Opened 9/5, AF date is 10/1
So if I upgrade one, theoretically I get TC after my next statement closes... then again either after the statement closes which should have the AF. And the AF is either charged on the proper statement... or several months later sort of randomly?

FYI - CHASE SUPPORT LINKS ARE WORKING AGAIN...

CSP, CF, CFU - links all appear to be working. Even the old style CIP links are working now too.

It still wouldn't be a bad idea to update all of your links (to see if a new code is generated) just to make sure things are good and are tracking.

Glad I've got some MSRs to hit because man am I spending some money this month :faint: Although, I cut out Starbucks a week ago and am missing it so much that I had a dream about Starbucks last night :rotfl:I may have a problem... but my waistline and bank account will thank me.

After a month of having like 3 hot chocolates from sb vs 3 to 4 a week I don't miss them. Now I haven't been able to stop drinking coke though it's not something I do everyday or more than 2 days in a row. I crave the specific taste. But I work it into my daily calories and make it work. Down over 8lbs in the past 45ish days. Really jacks up the carbs though and that's still an issue but I also need fiber so I try and have a pbj or turkey sandwich a few times a week.

But coke and peanut butter are the two biggest things I crave or want, not chocolate any more.

I’ve never been on a Disney cruise so I’m not sure how much they normally are. So if it’s $250 pp with a Florida rate what would a typical rate be? I’m not sure I would want to sail in August though with the hurricanes
I don’t think 250pp is that great. You’ll find better deals Lin the Fall.

Yes--the adult areas on the ships are very nice and generally underused. There's a ton to do.
And $500/night for hotel/food/entertainment up to Disney's standards is pretty good IMO.
I agree with @*WDW*Groupie*. Try a short one. I'd recommend four days on the Dream. That way you get a sea day.
It’s funny. There’s lots of recommendations on the flip side to do the 7 night because many come away from the short cruises, thinking that’s it. They haven’t begun to experience the cruise and it is over so it leaves them feeling unfulfilled.

Maxed the discover category by buying $1500 in Disney Giftcards At BJs. Not the best savings but I need a lot of giftcards. I can do another $1500 with SOs card and then that’s the most I can pay towards our wedding. I maybe going to DL in September, I need to get giftcards to buy annual passes (still don’t know what I want) and I still owe $5,000 for my ABD in 2020. I am going to pay $300 with SOs CSR before downgrading though and I hope to upgrade at my year anniversary and pay another $300.

Unfortunately, I crave all of those things :rotfl2: I made a pact with some coworkers that we would cut out Starbucks and sodas on weekdays. I did have a coke last week for July 4th though, because Murica. But I haven't had any Starbucks. I'd gotten into such a bad habit of getting it to treat myself whenever I had a stressful day at work.... which was a lot. So I'm trying to really cut back on that until we go to Disney.

Oh, well I personally have done one 4-day and probably would never do anything less than 7 days again. But if you're not sure if you'll like it I think 4 days is an okay place to start.

I've cut myself back again so I only go on weekends I am working, and only one of the days, not both. I've been pretty good so I might buy myself slightly more expensive Kcups next time around :rotfl: They are 11 cents more each than the ones I got at Sam's... still less than Starbucks :rotfl:

I am perpetually behind, so forgive me if this has already been covered. The most recent discussions I saw indicated that the SW gift card door was probably closed - and I had my new Platinum Amex $200 I was trying to use. I did see DPs that if you do a split tender purchase, and the part that is going on the Amex is under $100, the credit will work. So I did some seriously ridiculous SW purchases this weekend - split us into 2 parties, was using gift cards (from previous churning efforts), Luv Vouchers and my Amex. It blinked out on me a couple of times, so I had to re-enter all my info. Was kind of a pain. BUT this morning, the pieces I had charged on my Amex are credited, so my machinations saved me $198.76 on my pre-Christmas USO trip. Thank goodness for the internet :lovestruc

Flights weren't cheap, and I did have to pay about $400 out of pocket, but that isn't so bad for 4 non-stop round trip tix to Orlando around the holidays!
Wait... so basically you used GCs and Luv vouchers so the amount charged to your AMEX was <$100... Genius!!!

I've read this both ways too, do a short one to see how you like it and do a long one because the short ones aren't enough. Our 3 night for our honeymoon left us wanting more (obviously :)). If we would move to FL, I would probably do some GT rate 3/4 night ones as little getaways if the rates were really good. As long as we're traveling a ways I'm looking for longer now. 5 nights wasn't enough either! lol

I would imagine this is the same as Disney, but any chance someone has bought tickets from Universal off their website and had it code as travel on CSR? I'm looking direct, not UCT...

I always tell DH that 7 nights isn't long enough, but then he points out I start missing the dogs about 3 hours from home...um, well, yes, there's that. :o

My problem is I don't just like regular coffee. I like the frou frou mocha super chocolately sugary high carb with whipped cream drinks lol. I'm hoping I can avoid Starbucks until I get my free birthday drink at the end of the month, at which point I will indulge lol.

I recently started physical therapy too for some pretty bad hip pain I've been having. It's definitely helping, and basically I'm just getting a good hip workout in every day. I keep waiting for the therapist to be like "there was nothing actually wrong with you, you just let yourself go" :rotfl2:

I'm already sad about how long we'll be gone from our dog when we go to Japan next year. Although he stays at grandma's house and has a great time there because he gets to sleep in the bed with her, where he doesn't at our house.

if you are doing your home program as well I've had patients lose 10 pounds in a month because of the treatments and home exercise program I gave them. Although when PT ended they said they went back to their old ways

Are you a PT? Don't think I knew that! It has been great so far and I definitely intend to keep up with it. I haven't lost any weight, but I definitely feel stronger and have much less pain. My PT thinks that what happened is I quit riding after I sold my horse last year and basically all the core strength I had just fell apart, which makes a lot of sense. My body is basically a disaster zone from 25 years of horseback riding, but apparently the horseback riding was holding it all together  She actually recommended that I start slowly riding again, which I plan to do soon.
