Whoa.... I need to reevaluate my cards then..... I have a couple of trips in the next year but only one CSR and 3-4 travelers.... this might be worth the AF if I can use it in STL and FLL for the $28 credit at the restaurants.... are these useable for that? (B/c The CSR is only good for two passes/credits,right? Or smarter just to use the two credits amongst our family ? Like 4 of us order,$56 off bill, thats how it works right?

I am not an expert on how these credits work but I do recall reading that whether you can share credits depends on the waitperson--some will let you use two credits for four people but some might only apply the credit to the orders two people.

We just used the CSR PP in STL and since we had 4 people (and only 1 PP), we were able to use the entire $56 and paid about $4 plus tip for our meal before our flight. Definitely a good deal! For that price, we didn't get any drinks or anything, but really enjoyed our dinner.
great! thanks for the DP...do you show the card before or after ordering? Just when paying?

I’ve never been on a Disney cruise so I’m not sure how much they normally are. So if it’s $250 pp with a Florida rate what would a typical rate be? I’m not sure I would want to sail in August though with the hurricanes
It is per person/per night...so $500/night for the 2 of you.
Don't worry about the hurricanes, they plan around them as needed. We usually sail in the fall and have had itinerary changes a couple times.

5 of our 6 cruises have been during hurricane season. Every year I say never again as I get so nervous watching the forecast leading up to the cruise...and then we book the next one for the same time of year!

Yes, we've done two in August and will do another next August. As long as I stay off the cruise FB page right before the cruise I'm fine:). Last year we did Alaska in August and I'll admit it was nice not worrying about hurricanes.

And we were fortunate to sail once with the FL resident discount (Cat 4 on the Magic for 7 nights for $3,600 for 4--but this was 13 years ago!). After that I aimed for $500/night for 3 people. Now honestly I'm closer to $800 in mid-August. It's so worth it though. Such an outstanding product.

I finally finished the Toy Story outfits for my kids so we saw the movie yesterday! I was a little nervous about how we’d like it after seeing some of the reviews, but we really liked it!View attachment 415413
So adorable! I miss making themed outfits for my ds and older dd. Maybe they (and younger dd) will let me do so for our WDW trip in March 🤔

They are now 26, 24, and 19 :rotfl:

I guess to me $500 seems like a lot but we’ve never done a cruise before so I’m not sure what to expect. I would LOVE to do a European one. We most likely won’t take advantage of the August dates because we have no Disney gcs currently

Lol that makes me feel a little better.

Is a Disney cruise worth it even for two adults? I have looked at vlogs and read up about them. Dh and I didn’t feel like there was a lot we’d enjoy unless we paid for excursions which is even more money. At that point it makes me want to just fly there

Yes, definitely! My adult son loves Disney cruises! I used to love them, but I'm not able to sit in the sun any longer so prefer more unique cruises -- Baltic, Arctic, etc.

If you're on the fence try a 3 day one!

Checked in for our flights tomorrow and didn't get great boarding positions. Especially on the second flight. Maybe there is another connecting flight that leaves earlier than my first flight and that caused us to be in the higher B group. Not really a huge problem since we're all adults and can sit apart. I think if we go toward the back of the plane, we'll be fine on that one (hopefully). I am not a fan of the middle seat when it isn't family on either side :-) .

Makes me wish I'd gone for the higher SW card with the upgraded boarding perks.

Yes--the adult areas on the ships are very nice and generally underused. There's a ton to do.
And $500/night for hotel/food/entertainment up to Disney's standards is pretty good IMO.
I agree with @*WDW*Groupie*. Try a short one. I'd recommend four days on the Dream. That way you get a sea day.

Definitely! DH and I have been on several without DD; DM and I have done one or two as well-her 70th will be celebrated on a quick 4 day cruisel, and DM, DF, DH and I did a European without DD. We love the ships (so elegant), the service and the Disney music in the hallways. DH and DF enjoy the Broadway-style shows, I enjoy the Rainforest Room, and DM says her "happy place" is Castaway Cay. It IS more expensive, cannot lie, but I've always felt they were worth it---and I've been sick for 2 of mine:( Fortunately, Port C is a good 7 1/2 hour drive away or DH would be hearing "hey, guess what we're doing this weekend" a lot.

As WDW and DL move away from anything resembling a vacation for me, DCL receives much more of my vacation dollar.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't start with a port-intensive Disney cruise like Europe (not enough time on the ship IMO to pay the Disney premium). You take those once you're hooked on the product:)
