Magic Bands Upgrade

Was waiting for my friend to tell me which one she wanted and when I just tried placing my order for the Sorcerer Mickey, I keep getting this error message:
We Were Unable to Complete Your Request

Please try again or contact Guest Services at (407) 939-4357.

Tried calling and the wait time was estimated at 45 minutes. Not worth it, just put in an order for plain bands. How did they screw this up a second time?

UPDATE: Just went in and was finally able to proceed through checkout with a premium band. Kind of glad it took this long because there was a much larger selection available this afternoon than yesterday and this morning. I hope everyone else has luck placing their orders now!
 
I just ordered 4 they had a larger selection than earlier. I couldn't see them initially until I refreshed the page.
 
I love the Haunted Mansion, it's been one of my favorites since I was a kid. Being a female, I just didn't like the grey band. I wish they would have offered some of the prettier Haunted Mansion ones. Glad you were able to score one, though! Are you the only one in your party? It's messed up that we have to order for our entire party at once.
Yes, I'm a solo traveler. Made ordering a bit easier. I love the Mansion too. It's my all time favorite ride. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to thrill rides so the Haunted Mansion is right up my alley. :)
 


Castle band disappeared and then reloaded with all the new bands but I am still not able to complete the order. This is so frustrating.
 
This is beyond infuriating. You get things in the cart, finally after trying to figure out which ones are in stock and which aren't and then try to go to the cart and they remove them from your assignments. When you finally get some to go through and get to the order page, the order page freaks out. They have had a month to fix this and it's worse than before. I am at the point I don't even want these things. Disney keeps raising prices, and making everything difficult. I hate to say it, but it's almost making me regret even going there this year. I know it's only a stupid magicband, etc., it just beyond frustrating. They should just shut the ordering page down until they can figure out what they are doing.
 
What's crazy is if I log on through internet explorer online, it shows different bands available than if I log on through my iPhone. How is that even possible? I'm so confused.
 


I'm sorry you guys are experiencing this. I would have thought with the time between the introduction and now, they wouldn't open it back up until they had their ducks in a row.

Never underestimate Disney IT. I feel for the cast members that will have to clean up this round.
 
Now there are 14 specialty bands showing up. I'm waiting for one I saw when they were first released. My trip is not until November, so I have time to wait and watch. But, couldn't this whole concept be accomplished in a better way?


As someone mentioned, backorder. Don't ship immediately except those who have vacations 11 days out and then no more than 30. It really shouldn't be this difficult. I would love to get me the Flynn Rider band I know they had (or at least was advertised) and I would be satisfied with choosing and then just waiting.
 
I was just able to place an order successfully. Now I think I made a mistake by upgrading. Our resort stay is August 7th, but we leave home on July 26th, and will be on the Disney Fantasy from July 27th-August 7th. I am afraid we will have already left on our trip by the time they arrive. Calling Disney now, but wait time is over 30 minutes!
 
Honestly, they can add 80 billion options and as long as people get constant errors when trying to order them, it's no good. Roll it out when it's ready, Disney.
 
I'd have loved to have fought the headaches to maybe get them, but they were never in stock and we've passed our ordering timeframe. So they don't get our $90 for the upgraded bands
 
So I was able to pick one for me, but when I try to pick one for my wife it keeps throwing the error. Maybe just the one she picked isn't *really* there so I can't pick it? (she wanted the Dole Whip one)
 
Every time I click on change my order, I get a Donald Duck error screen.

I have a split stay, so it seems like it's referring to my second stay's bands that I won't be using. I can't actually edit the solid colors I picked previously.
 
ok, so I went back in to try again to pick my wife's and noticed the Dole Whip one is not there - so guess they ran out and that is why I got an error when trying to select it in the past

There were some new ones up now - a few Stitch ones and the Mickey Pride

Also, the just released black Toy Story one is up there as an option, I picked that one for me
 
I have absolutely lost my patience with Disney this week, spent the time upgrading, put them, in my cart, put in payment and then it comes up to try again, so I pressed the try again button and everytime it sends an authorization to my credit card. Eventually I call, wait on hold and the cast member says that one we want must be sold out but that they cant tell me which one. So i go back in and try a different one for my husband as the one I wanted still was there. And same thing, now my credit card me has called me and they are suspecting Disney as fraudulent do to all the "pending charges" and it is affecting my available credit for 1-5 days.

The lack of organization from such a "great" company is beyond annoying. I am at the point that I will not bother with this again. Coupled with all the recent price increases I am bordering on being done after Sepetember and skipping our February trip.
 
Oh my goodness!! Finally after refreshing my page, at least 50 + times, getting error message after error message, I was finally able to order 2 upgraded bands for my clients!! And throughout the morning they were adding additional options so it actually worked out because my client is celebrating her birthday and wanted the super cute Mickey Birthday Band!!! I know it’s frustrating y’all, I’ve literally been trying since 5:00 AM CST!! I was getting error messages as well but it finally went through for the ones I selected, they may not be sold out, keep trying!!
 
I tried the Haunted Mansion one a bunch of times before it actually went through. I think we may just be overloading their system.
 
I managed to complete my order for the castle one. Finally. Hopefully it will actually deliver properly. Good luck to everyone else still working on this - this whole process has been a complete mess.
