Disney Gift Card Deals

Did anyone notice how DoC changed the title, the ad clearly states "Get $15 off You Next Grocery Purchase" and DoC wrote "Get $15 off You Next Grocery Order". Seeing how you can order groceries online for pick up that can be confusing especially since they charge for that service. Just me with words, no biggie.

The other thing I noticed was recently Kroger had a promotion "Buy $250, get $15 off Lowe's GC" In that he wrote "use a credit card with high earnings like Freedom 5% grocery", unfortunately this was incorrect. Kroger's link was to gift card mall which does not earn 5% in groceries.
DOC has been slipping lately. I’m looking for other blogs now.

What a PITA! Over time I purchased several $100 Visa Gift Cards from Kroger for an upcoming Universal trip. Going through prepaidgiftbalance is a nightmare! Their site has been down for a while now and you have to call them to add your personal info (name & address) to add them to Paypal. They only allow you to register 2 cards per call.

I used a wm e-giftcard in the app to purchase a physical wm card along with some other stuff, but it was many months ago and required an override at the register. I haven't tried it recently.

Ahh okay thanks! It might be hard to do it that way because I have about 15+ e-gift cards I’m trying to combine. Maybe if I try a little bit at a time

My last experience was in Jul/Aug so it could have changed, but I was able to do it at a self checkout that had a handscanner for payment as that's needed to scan the eGC barcodes in my experience. I had pushback from a CSR when I asked to combine so I could order something online, but the system allowed it without a problem then.
I hope it hasn’t changed. I was hoping that’s how I could do it at self checkout but I don’t want the register to beep at me and then it doesn’t go through because of a CSR

You mentioned that they allow you to pay your cc bal. that’s linked to your room acct at the front desk with gift cards. Is this so that you can use your Magicband to pay - a little more convenient than paying with the giftcard?
Actually I do not use our magic bands to pay for anything but I was mentioning to the OP that she could do that, then go to the front desk of the hotel to use her gift cards to pay down her balance. I personally just use my gift cards as I make purchases whether it be dining or souvenirs. Also, we usually have resort only reservations so I pay our entire resort balance upon check in. Also, since we don't use our magic bands to charge things, we aren't levied that hold on our credit card. I just don't give them a cc number upon check in. For us personally, it's too easy to be shocked at the end of a trip to see how much we actually spend, lol....and dh prefers not to know, anyway!

If anyone still has the Stop & Shop $7.50 off your purchase for buying $50 Happy card, it does stack with the $15 off $100 gift card deal. I bought two $50 Happy Guy gift cards at Stop and Shop tonight and received $7.50 off my purchase plus the $15 off next purchase. I'll turn those into Disney at Home Depot.

Wow! What a deal. I'm officially jealous. That's a 30% savings.

I'm pretty sure that you're not supposed to "get" cards from one store and bring them to another for activation.

The key is to make sure the gift cards have the same UPC. They make certain gift card UPC's for certain chains, so even though they are both happy cards, they won't work to take it from one store and buy it at another unless the UPC is the same.

This is amazing! I actually have 2 HCs left on my S&S card, and had my mom load two onto hers as well. I was not even going to bother because I was planning to just do the $15 off $100 (I won't reach the 10 per family max). Now, I'm super excited to hit up S&S today!

It can actually be 32% savings, if you get Happy Lady, Bride, or Student and add them to your credit cards in ebates for an additional 2% off in store at Bed Bath Beyond.

I know Happy Guy is the most popular because of self check out at HD, but the extra 2% at BBB means I often prefer Happy Lady

Thanks for confirming this. It's on my list to try today. :-)

We don't use MB to pay either but I could see that it would be slightly more convenient, especially at the water parks when you don't want to carry gc's. It seems like eventually we're going to be able to add gc to bands. We do combine 1 big gc to take and use for dining/purchases if there isn't a 5% Chase Freedom dining going on. I don't like adding my credit card at check in either - but the last several stays, they haven't insisted that I add one, like they used to. It was years ago, and just once, but Disney housekeeping called several long distance calls from our room, and we had a surprise bill charged to my card at checkout. No one uses landlines any more.

Worked for me! Got $50 in Happy Student, and $50 in Happy Bride, which nabbed me $15 off my groceries this morning, and produced a register coupon for $15 off another shopping trip. I'll stop by BBB and churn the HS and HB on my way to work later.

There are still no Disney GCs at my Stop and Shop, though. I was really hoping they'd restock before the promotion ends on Thursday.

I have a few questions about the Disney merchandise credit "gift" cards?
  1. Can they be used online at DisneyStore.com?
  2. Can they be used on the Shop Disney app?
  3. Can they be used at the Disney Parks in a gift shop?
  4. Can they be used at a Disney Resorts in a gift shop?
Basically, is it okay to use for anything other than dining, resort room, or park tickets?

My PNC checking account debit card has the 10% off up to $140 Google Express offer. I've never had anything useful there before and saw this only because I went in to start the process to close the account- guess that's gonna wait a few days!

My first time buying Disney gc today at HD with a Happy Guy card...it went so smoothly I couldn’t believe it! It wouldn’t have been smooth without info I get here in this thread. Thanks everybody!
Did you use self checkout? Ours doesn't have those.
