Finished Hyatt MSR today!! This was the 6k MSR over 6 months. Just pulled that out of DH's wallet and put his new Citi AA Biz in. $750 left on SPG Biz, $1070 left on my Citi AA Biz.

Also I just chatted with Citi on DH's account about matching to 60k. This is what I got back...

"I have successfully raised request to match offer for 60000 miles for you. Our accounts specialists will work on this and you will be notified about the approval in 3-5 business days."

I'm not putting a lot of stock in this answer, but that makes it sound more to me like there is an actual approval of the match? Who knows. Did a second request on my card so I'm waiting on the letter for that.

Still waiting for an upgrade offer that may never come as long as I already have the Brilliant... Meanwhile, I'm settling for my retention offer.
Still nothing for DH either.

I had the thought to check ILs, with the thought that maybe it could be worth doing one of their cards. The idea being that the 100k would cover 2 nights at the Dolphin, maybe a 3rd depending on their anniversary date, for a short trip this fall. DH and I, perhaps a combo of $300 credits and anniversary certs. I'm not burning my own Bonblech points on Swolphin but maybe would burn ones we helped ILs earn. But noooooo, 15k points isn't going to get us far!

It's after the statement closes, so you'll see it reset 6/6. It'll say in the UR portal when it'll reset, it should say something like "after your statement closes in June" to confirm.
I found it and it says it will reset after his JUNE statement has cut. Yay, this works so well for my travel plans! Thanks for the info.

Me too....It usually opens up between 6 and 6:30am EST...but has been later on some releases
Ugh, that is 3am for me. Not sure that will be happening!

From another forum there was a question about the last 3 non Disney vacations you took-I realized I'm not very creative-Edinburgh, Ireland, Edinburgh (with a Med DCL thrown in between). That led me to wonder...

Summer 2019 plans and what (if any) part of those plans are you most excited about?

DD, DM and I leave for Budapest and an ABD Danube River cruise capped off with a visit to Prague in about a month. I'm most excited about spending time with mom and DD, staying at the R-C in Budapest, returning to Prague with DD (and seeing it through her eyes) and then, once they're flying back to the States, returning to Edinburgh and my favorite rainforest room/spa experience. Points and miles allow my money to go farther and I really appreciate this hobby and the support on this thread:)

Anyone venture to Target for vinyard vines this morning? I'm waiting until monday just to see what's left since most people aren't preppy here and there's nothing I need.

I did. Wasn't planning on it, but checked online and the dresses I wanted were sold out. It was crazy at store opening, but I got both dresses I wanted and a few other things (travel cup with straw, paper plates and napkins, bow for my dog's collar, 1 big bag and a few t-shirts for my nephew who loves brand name clothing!). Wanted a pair of shorts, but since I didn't grab them when I first saw them, I didn't have a shot. I'll probably venture back on Monday to see what has been returned. LOVE the navy blue / white check dress even thought it's a bit short on me. Not sure about the all white one as the waist sits quite high. What I did notice is that when I took the items out of the bag when I got home they were a wrinkled mess, which is making me re-think the purchases.

All the ladies and mens clothes were gone within 5 or 10 minutes. If you didn't grab what you wanted immediately then you weren't getting it. Most people grabbed piles of stuff and checked out. The associate said there were no limits on anything, which didn't help.

I think my favorite item is the pink set of toiletry bags. They are super cute. Sold out lightening fast (I think there were only 4 and I got 2). I also got a few of the wristlets (with a pink whale), of which there were only maybe 10.

I won't do that again as I would rather pay retail than get up early on a Saturday morning.

My dd went in to work at target at 1 and there was nothing left except a few XXL shirts. Completely wiped out. This area is the opposite of preppy so I’m shocked really.

Resellers, transplants and college kids from the east/south probably. With the Lilly one I had several friends posting about it on fb, today no one has. I did look at some on twitter and it seems like Target wanted their employee's tweeting because that's most of what I saw along with complaints. The complaints, while kind of valid, really make no sense to me. It's like any other colab they've had, they don't limit in store, will have limited quantity and won't have everything in the line. It's not like suddenly Target's going to stock a full selection of this stuff.

I just checked my credit on Experian. I see that it does not list Bonvoy business card or the CIP (I just got that one less than a month ago). Do business cards not go on your credit report??? If not, that would be good since I applied for the Barclays JetBlue business cc and am wondering if they will know if I recently got the bonvoy and CIP???

Please take this in the nicest way possible: (I don’t say this to offend but rather to provide helpful feedback)

The fact that you don’t read people’s responses directly to you is concerning and discouraging to those providing you advice. Here are three direct responses to you when you first joined the thread that very clearly discuss your exact question. We also discuss this same fact very regularly here. It’s going to be difficult for people to want to continue to provide advice if they feel you don’t read it:

...If you can qualify for their small business credit card products there are 3-4 cards you could get without affecting your "5/24 status" and without affecting your personal credit report (aside from an inquiry which has a negligible affect)...

...However, if you're new to churning, you may want to keep your credit report clean for Chase. The Business card will not show up on your credit report or count against Chase's 5/24 rule; the Brilliant, as a personal card, will count against Chase's 5/24 rule.

...Some of the most lucrative offers are on business cards AND they don’t hit your personal credit report so they don’t affect your 5/24 status...

Also this response in our PM exchange:
Also, While your husband needs to be under 5/24 to apply...it WILL NOT add to his “5” count. That’s why we love business cards so much. :)

And this direct question and response from @gottalovepluto from a couple months ago:
Am I correct that the AmEx Bonvoy Business card does not count against your 5/24?

And this helpful exchange with @miztressuz:
I signed up for the AMEX Business bonvoy on Friday and got approved instantly. My credit score went down around 8 points because of it (saying 816 now on Experian) BUT it is showing up on my "new amount of credit", went from good to fair and says it doesn't come off my credit history until 2021. I thought the card didn't go against my 5/24? What am I missing. Seems like a negative to me now. Maybe I should of applied for the CIP, the one I really wanted but I figured I would wait til next month when my COP drops from my report.

Since it says 2021, which is 2 years from now, I think that is only referring to an inquiry, which is the only thing from AmEx that would have shown up this quickly. Same thing would have happened with the CIP. Inquiries for biz cards still happen on your personal credit report, regardless of issuer, but AmEx biz cards aren't reported as an account to your personal CR and thus don't count towards 5/24. AmEx also doesn't report cards immediately to your report, it has always been tied to around statement closing (and for most not until a 2nd statement) so I think you're fine and it'll bounce back.

Dd had her first day lifeguarding today and it went well. And her pool manager goes to UVA where dd wants to go and is majoring in chemical engineering which is what she says she wants to major in. Only negative is she has to work four days next week after school and the bus won’t get her home in time so I get to leave my job an hour early to pick her up from school. Thank goodness my employer is somewhat understanding.

Yes, I knew that business cards were not included in your 5/24 BUT I was unsure if it still showed up on your credit, especially since when you have to give your social security number when applying for a business cc, I figured it went on your credit. I know most of you on here are experts but for a newbie, it's hard sometimes to understand so much information. Sorry, and will try to figure it out by myself in the future!

I haven't posted much, but I'm still following along. Yesterday I answered a phone call from a local number. It was a man from Chase just wanting to let me know I had points on my CIP. I think he just wanted to make sure I knew so I would not forget to use them. He even told me a story about a woman he had recently called who forgot about her points, so he reminded her to use them for a trip she had planned. He was very nice and we had a good conversation. I did go online after we got off the phone and saw that yes, all 80,000+ URs have posted to my account! I guess he called because the points had just posted. Anyone else receive a call to tell you have points to use?

Don’t stop asking questions - I understand that it can be difficult to keep track of everything. I just wanted to point out that your question had already been answered completely and specifically a couple of times. This game is ALL about the details and organization so my advice is just to make sure you’re reading those responses VERY thoroughly. All those little details in our responses mean something and missing a small detail could turn into a difficult mistake down the line. We have seen it happen many times (from people right here on the thread). But don’t stop asking questions either - it is why we are here :)

From another forum there was a question about the last 3 non Disney vacations you took

Summer 2019 plans and what (if any) part of those plans are you most excited about?

Last 3 non Disney (quickly looks back at TripIt for past trip info :surfweb:)

Apr-19: Hilton Head (technically at the Disney resort but it feels a million miles removed from the parks).
Dec-18: NYC followed by a NCL cruise to Florida and the Bahamas over New Years (does it still count if we may have snuck in 2 day at the parks during our Port Canaveral overnight :scratchin)
Jun-18: Annual camping trip in Northern Michigan.

Summer 2019 Plans

June: Annual camping trip, this time to Hocking Hills. Super excited to finally visit this area.

July: San Francisco (see, I learned, no more calling it San Fran!). Super excited to meet up with good friends from England we met on a DCL Norway cruise a few years ago. We’ll be doing a roadtrip from SF to Yosemite to Vegas and back up the coast. Have 2 nights booked at Waldorf Astoria in Vegas using $100 statement credit from Amex and 2 nights at a really cool looking lodge in Yosemite (Rush Creek Lodge, it looks like Wikderness Lodge!!). I used my CSR travel credit to cover part of the cost.

And it’s trip like these with non churner friends (which is pretty much everyone we know) that are the biggest obstacle to an efficient use of points. The hotels that make sense on points often make very little sense on cash. We are looking at a few nights at a Homewood Suites so I might see if a Hilton Biz card makes sense. Otherwise I guess the UR portal and cash will be king on this trip.

August: 5 nights at OKW. Our APs expire in September so we’re squeezing one last trip in before school. I had just enough DVC points left for the room. Still need flights but thanks to Amex Plat travel credit (used to buy $800 worth of Delta certs) that should be covered. I’ll probably book one ways and call to see if rep will let me use multiple certs. Bought a $500 Disney GC today at Meijer for 10% off which should cover the cost of our Wild Africa Trek.
