Disney Gift Card Deals

One of my Staples RMN offers just credited - it was $15 for a $100 purchase. Ordered on 3/30, went pending a couple of days later.

I tried to purchase a $25 e-gift card at Shop Disney with a VV I got from SB yesterday. But I attached it to my PayPal account instead of using the VV directly thru their website. Never got an email with the e-gift card but received a phone call from Disney and they conferenced PayPal in on the call to verify my PayPal account, I gave the information they requested but the PayPal customer service lady dropped off the call. So I continued talking to the Disney rep, she said that they could not accept my purchase using a VV attached to my PayPal or even paying directly with my VV. I tried explain how I heard this has worked and should work with the VV thru PayPal but she said it's a new policy in the last month or so. Now I have to wait 3-5 days to have my money put back on my VV. I have a large chunk of SB saved up and I was going to go this route (using VV's for Disney gift cards) to get gift cards for our next trip. I had hoped it was a one off thing so I called back, got a different person and got told the same thing. I'm new to this process of getting Disney gift cards. Can I use my VV at a physical Walmart to get gift cards? Or do I need to cash out to Walmart gift cards and use them, but I don't want to be stuck with Walmart gift cards. I guess I can try to cash out to a PayPal gift card and then transfer the money to my account. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I got a Disney gc using a VV through PP on Saturday and it worked fine. I got the card immediately. Would hate for this to change!

I'm not sure what or why it happened to me but Disney canceled my order due to the VV. I tried explaining and asking how I could make it work, and she even asked if I got my VV from Swag Bucks. I think it may could have been avoided if the lady on the phone from PayPal would have not hung up. Disney needed to verify my address and phone # with PayPal so I did that. Then PayPal wanted the card number, so I told her I had to get it out of my email and she hung up. It's so frustrating because I have been saving SB since last August in hopes to convert them to Disney gift cards and now this. I'm sure it's just my luck and it is probably business as usual for others.

No problem, when my VV gets credited back I may try again by using the VV directly with ShopDisney or Target instead of attached to PayPal.

What's some other ways I can cash out my SB for Disney gift cards that have been productive recently?

Well I called customer support again to get a better explanation. The reason behind them canceling the order is that recently they have been accepting VV’s as a form of payment and issue the customer the e-gift card then not receive the funds from VV company. She said it’s been hit or miss recently on receiving the funds. So.....oh well on to plan B for me.

I think some here have done discounted Walmart then purchase there or at Sam's. Or purchase pp gc's at SB and deposit it into your checking account.

For the first time, my shopdisney credited via ebates! I purchased 2 - $50 physical along with $219.72 worth of merchandise on 5/11 and it just posted today, I used my DV for the transaction. I've never had GC post and I don't know why it took so long either.

I placed a ShopDisney order for $400 in digital gift cards with a $1.99 clearance plush on 5/12. Just got the RMN e-mail that it tracked and I have $40.20 pending and I should see it by 6/28

@PolyRob - did you have to pay shipping on your $1.99 clearance item? I'm thinking of doing this but don't want to pay shipping. Or I might just try a $100 order and see if it tracks. TIA!

I did the same and order $75 in GC and 1 item at $2 a plush. I received free shipping because the total was over $75. I used RTM it tracked but no amount shows pending yet. I did get the gift cards with in 1 hr and the plush is being shipped today. I ordered 5/14

I'm not sure why @tink89 didn't get charged shipping. I've tried doing $75 or $100 in GC and a filler item, and it charges shipping, even when I put the code for free shipping over $75.

I have made this work with ebates when Shop Disney offered totally free shipping last week.

I find it can be hit or miss. Sometimes the promo just stays active. Sometimes I add extra merchandise so its well over $75, remove that merchandise, and it sticks. A little trial and error, but this is the 2nd time i've made "free shipping with $75" when a majority was an electronic gift card for a RMN deal.

Calling Northeasterners: Shop Rite is doing the $10 back on next week's groceries when you buy a $50 GC, and Disney will be included next week. Buy $50 Disney GC starting 5/19, and redeem $10 store credit starting 5/26.

I've been waiting for this deal again! Groceries are as good as cash to me, and I love a guaranteed 20% discount. I'm going to see if I can borrow some family members' cards so I can do it more than once.
