NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

If there is ONE thing that drives me insane about SW fandom is this insane DESIRE to queue overnight! I practically cried tears of joy this year when SWCC announced NO OVERNIGHTS and that the major panels would be by lottery. Here we lottery anyway AND don't get to sleep? *SOB*

(And yes, we have the 8AM reservation slot from our one night at Paradise Pier, which apparently will only be holding my bags.)

I'm guessing hotel rooms will be treated differently. The Disneyland exclusive thread a couple of people have said so.

I also hope there are ways for additional instruction, but I suppose not. All 3 of our kids have some type of attention and focus disabilities. Obviously, I assume the preshow will give example instructions of what to do and how to do it, but the excitement of one kid will cause him to not remember, the awe of another kid will cause him to not pay attention, and the confusion of the other kid will cause him to "not know what's going on"! I think we might destroy the Falcon before we take off! :rotfl2:

putting part in spoiler for those that don't want to know, but this came out from reports from media members that got that tour a month or so ago:

Reports indicated that no matter how good you are, you will take some damage, and no mater how bad you are, you won't be able to crash/destroy the ship - so just degrees in there

I do hope they have strong directions and even reminders (like audio queues of what to do) and maybe even the ability for the system to adapt if it is clearly a person who is confused as to what to do vs an "expert"

...Like an "autopilot mode" for the 6 year old who just wants to ride without responsibility.

Do we know or have a map view overtop the Aerials? Like, with three entrance/exits (although we don't know what they will use yet for reservation slots and check-in/exit), do we know where we can Oga's, Toydarian, Savi, etc?
The shops are unclear yet. Oga’s is all the way on the right side near Falcon. The Falcon points directly at Oga’s. Toydarian will be on the marketplace area. That’s in the center of the land essentially.

I also heard that Photopass will be there, too. It makes sense, but only in a certain way. Obviously, to be immersive, you can't just have a standard meet and greet. But, I could see where Black Spire administrators need to do "security scans", of people heading to certain locations. Or you getting "footage" of yourself bartering or something, that you can secure for yourself for your own credentials or to smuggle them away from being seen by the authorities....or something.

Looking pretty darn done!

2 quick questions/thoughts:
- are those greenish tent looking things merch stands or part of construction?
- seems like just that one, relatively narrow, walkway from the Resistance side over to Blackspire Outpost ... especially with RotR not open to start, feels like that is going to be a bottleneck with everyone trying to get through there to get to the Flacon to start with

be interesting if they have a lot of hidden "security cams" and you check your photopass account after the fact and find all these random photos of you that you didn't realize were being taken

I believe yes those would be merch.

Yeah you have a point. People obviously won’t be spending much time on the Resistance side right now.

It would be really cool, though, if you could organically meet up with a known, but lesser character, no official Photopass, but that they do secretly monitor that character and get all the photos with people. Nien Nunb, anybody? Old Lobot?

This is the musician in me. It would be really great if the Cantina band was needing to do some auditions to replace a member....and visitors could express their interest in auditioning on an instrument or two. Could even walk away with your own mouthpiece cover from your audition.

I guess I have a bit of dark side in me cause I can't wait to "screw up" the mission and get to interact with people outside the attraction to see what they tell me :)

Yeah I sort of want to see what happens when you "fail" the mission...

Interesting. You are required to have a timed entry pass to get into SWGE so the only ones to line up should be people with the first time slot otherwise why bother?

Will Disney be setting up separate queues for each entry time?

I would also love to see how it plays out over both coasts over time. At some point, people will ride this ride numerous times. If several fails or several splendid runs provide an even grander reputation among the villagers for you as either a great or terrible known pilot over the years...
