Did you answer Bubbler? That is pretty much an eastern WI thing. But I have heard of a few places where Kohler factories were in New England that do it too. Both of my kids were born in MN and now that we've moved to WI they both say bubbler, as does my wife.
No. I had no clue what a bubbler was.

My dh was born in CA but in TX from age 10. He never says “y’all”. I’d have to smack him if he did. It would just sound so wrong!
I’m from Chicago and say y’all. No idea why. Although I’ve never said all y’all.
Typical Chicagoans say pop, but I’ve always said soda and thought pop sounded weird. My mom is also Chicago born and raised and said soda or soda pop.

Today we opted for something extra and it was so worth it! The Al Maha can organize a private dinner among the dunes under the stars. The food was outstanding as always. The guide dropped us off and said he’d be back in about 90 minutes unless we rang for him earlier. He left a phone for us to reach him. We enjoyed every moment. Unfortunately my iPhone doesn’t quite capture the star filled sky.

I’d get referred to a speech therapist!!!

Seems like no matter where you live they just suck!!!
And they double, triple suck when we were in Australia and trying to remember to go the opposite of what we do in the US. It wasn’t too bad when there were cars in front of us but pretty sure we went the wrong way several times when we were alone on the road. Oops. And it’s a roundabout and I go through 3 of them every day on my way to and from work.

I just think of 'guys' as being very gender specific, and I was definitely brought up in a very traditional way with respect for the gender differences. So, it feels weird to me but I'm sure in your neck of the woods, it's completely normal and like you said, you would get laughed at if you used "y'all" or they might tar and feather you if you said "all y'all" lol!
You guys is very generic, non gender specific in the Midwest. I do use it but also use y’all which is also non gender specific

In general, I think the days are over when an airline put you up in a hotel and provided meals b/c they cancel or delay flights. We were delayed 9+ hours on Frontier a couple of years ago and they provided nothing. Not even a free snack once the flight finally did take off. Nor any communication whatsoever about why we were delayed, when we might take off, nothing...I've never been delayed overnight but I have several family members who have been and they have had to just sleep in the airport or get a hotel at the airport, if one was available.
This is where churners win. Find a quick nearby hotel on points - if you have a lot of points and status they treat you pretty well too!

I got $25 off 45 at Sam’s !

I have that too, unfortunately I just got a new membership a couple of weeks ago so it’s not of any use :-(

Stevia is an herb that has a sweet aftertaste. You can buy it in powdered form that resembles sugar or in liquid form. My dh likes the vanilla flavored liquid.

Sounds really gross

It’s not my favorite at all, but it’s better than nutrasweet and that type. It’s very common in foods, like yogurt, soda/pop :-) etc.

It's definitely way better than the 'fakey sugars'. Much healthier alternative. I now buy chocolate chips sweetened with stevia as well as some of the sweetener blends, like Swerve. Americans eat (and drink) way too much sugar so we've been trying to cut back for awhile.

It depends on the reason for the delay/cancellation and weather/act of god doesn't require them to do anything so they will always try to pin it on weather. It's always good to know your carriage of contract, at least the basics, for the airline you are on and what they are legally obligated to do by country as things are different here than the the EU etc.

LOL-my I had to break DH of the "freeway." One, I had no idea what he meant..."ooooh the Interstate" and two, seriously roads are anything but free.
We have tollways and freeways :confused3 though most people just say highway or just the name/number ie Take the Ike west to 88 and get off at 83 :faint:

Still catching up but I'll post replies to what I've read so far.

Someone literally just asked where they can meet stitch besides o’hanas :rotfl:

Yeah, because Stitch likes to hang out in Irish pubs... It really works well theming wise...

I respectfully disagree. lol The Grand Californian is my favorite and I hope to use AA miles to get back there lol.

Right there with you. It's not the same when we aren't in the bubble. ::yes::

Absolutely!

Please tell me you don't use hella any more? I was so hapoy when that died out but it still lives in the bay area and I cringe whenever a friend uses it on facebook.

Pet peeve and I'm not even from there but itls not Ore-gone it's Ore-gen like in or begen.

Also, need to figure out why there's a helicopter circling over the house, dot hasn't posted about an accident on the freeway so it's worrisome. Seems to be gone now after 5+ minutes.

Eww. I hate "hella" and I think it's a generational thing. I've only seen teens/college kids using it, but thankfully not mine.

My pet peeve is "Cali." It's not Cali, it's California. Don't like typing it, try CA like the post office. Nobody from here ever calls it "Cali" and it's a sure sign you're not from here. I cringe every single time I have to read that one. :sad2:

Does no one call it soda?

I do. NorCal and it's what everyone called it here when I was growing up. I never heard "pop" until I went to college in the PNW and I honestly had no idea what people were talking about.

My friends that still use it are almost/are 40 :sad2:

And don't get me started on San Fran. It is The City, SF or San Francisco. The only one I let get away with it is my Grandpa who trained with United in SF in the 50's. He'd call it Frisco and had fought in WWII plus a different time so he got a pass :) But most other people I correct, especially if they are planning to go there. I will tell them, do not call it San Fran while you are there or people will get annoyed.

I don't mind Cali but to me it's a SoCal thing not a NorCal thing. But I see Cali as fun in the sun and surfing :beach:

Around here, it's the Spanish city names. Having gone to college in La Jolla, I cringe when I hear it pronounced with a J sound.

Dialect quiz was fun. Has me nailed, all 3 cities in Northern California, one is actually the bordering town.
Yeah but Los Gatos? Not pronounced like Spanish. I  when my friend said Gat rhymes with cat
