Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

We have a three day cruise booked in august 2020 and I think this is the perfect place to spend a couple of days before we go. WE are old and want to book a preferred room to cut down on the walking which is the best? looks like Martinique # 26? would that be what I need to request?:hyper2::hyper2:

25 and 26 are both great and really close to OPR and the Main Feature pool.

Where is my best spot to get picked up by mears? I emailed them about something else and they said to get in touch when I found my room number or pick up is at customs house main lobby? Thoughts?
With the 4 kids on my own the easier the better

Is it a mears regular taxi or a mears bus? If bus, then you'll have to get picked up at Old Port Royale. The Custom House is no longer there. If it's a regular taxi it can pick you up at the circular drive of your building.

I booked an suv for our PPO breakfast and two EMMs
Hmm You would think they would know that something is no longer there?

Which buildings are going to be closest to/most convenient to the Skyliner station? Is there a resort map out there showing the location of the station? Thanks!

All the buildings of Jamaica will be the close with 41 and 43 being the closest. In the attached map, the station is going to be to the right of Jamaica where the A,B,C,D, and E legend is.

This thread is massive, I'm sure the answer is in here but I just don't see it.

Are there shuttles offered within the resort itself? For example, is there a way to get from Trinidad to the main pool without having to walk a mile each way?

Yes there is an Internal bus making a constant loop for those with mobility issues. The walk from the furthest point of Trinidad to the Main Feature pool and Old Port Royale is 1/3 of a mile and takes 10 minutes at a very leisurely pace.

Thank you for the info!

If at all possible,I would walk from Trinidad to OPR.

You will have to wait for the Internal and then go to Jamaica,Aruba and Martinique before arriving at OPR(where the Pool is located).

RETURNING from OPR to Trinidad you can go to one of the OPR Bus Stops and get on the NEXT bus to arrive(Park OR Internal).

ALL buses leaving OPR will make a stop "next door" at Barbados and then straight to Trinidad.

You could also just take the short walk from the Pool to the Barbados Bus Stop and board the next bus there.:)

(We have been "Pixie dusted" a few times while walking from Trinidad to OPR with a ride by a passing CM in a Pargo-that's the BEST way to get there!lol:))

To answer my own question...I found a video from Passport to the Parks that was streamed yesterday. Still tons of construction fencing and dug up areas in the Aruba and Jamaica sections.

Awesome trip to our home resort this week, but with 1/2 of TX & 1/2 of Canada at WDW this week, shame on BC&YC for closing SB at 8. It is 7:55 & there are dozens of people in the pool. Cheap.

Thank-you for the video idea. That's truly disappointing and ugly. We booked this resort before they started tearing up the grounds. Now I regret it. Tried to rebook elsewhere but can't for a reasonable price. WDW just shrugged their shoulders and said it might be done by May.

We're stuck there now.

This is our situation too. We were so excited to try this beautiful and relaxing resort and now I’m worried. Let’s hope they get it cleaned up fast!!

Yeah, it's not pretty. I'm glad that they're taking care of whatever needs to be done. It just would have been better if it wasn't after all the other construction was finished. At least the main areas are in good shape?
