Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Just curious, did you stop at the front desk first and then they escorted you up, or was someone waiting out front for you upon arrival?
We had to go to the front desk but there was no line. The lady at the front desk actually apologized and insisted we had something to celebrate lol. I just mentioned it was our first club level stay and we weren’t really sure what to do. I’d be lying if I said we didn’t try going up the elevator on our own first.

Hi friends! We are on the airplane headed to being our stay at the Yacht Club! I logged into MDE and see that we were assigned a "WATER VIEW" room with no room number or anything. We booked standard (im sure of it). Is there a chance this actually could NOT be standard? Wat are "waterview rooms"? Do they typically have a view of the pool or of the lake in front of the YC back entrance? Thank everyone! Just curious! Thanks!!
Hope your water view didn’t disappoint. I think they are fantastic. Our 1st pixie dust upgrade was lake view, and I requested the same when we paid for water view. Got an even better location/view second time. Though we have enjoyed garden view before, we don’t plan to ever not guarantee ourselves water view again. Sitting on the deck/porch and watching the twinkling boardwalk lights was priceless.

Great article about some of the new selections at Yacht & Beach Club dining spots.

Those updates to the menus are just in time for our BC arrival one week from today! :) I am also looking forward to seeing what the new cabana construction is doing to SAB. It looks like it is next to our favorite place to sit. I just hope they left the trees alone. We really like the shade that those trees provide.

My wife, 18 month old, and I will be staying at YC in March for the first time. Was hoping y'all could help me with what kind of room requests I should make. I have a Garden/Woods view room booked. Since it is just two of us and a pack and play, I was thinking of requesting a King Bed. However, I looked on touringplans room finder and the king rooms didn't seem to have very good views. Any and all tips would be helpful! Thanks!

Hi All! My husband and I will be staying at the Beach Club from May 22nd - May 26th. Can someone please tell me if the Marketplace sells 6 packs of beer? I did see pictures of what they sell, but it looked like only single bottles to me. Please forgive me if if this question has already been answered elsewhere. Thanks so much! :)

Some random outdoor shots.

Sometimes the desk is a nice vanity when you are too tired to stand after being in the parks for days and mom is tired.

There were some nice seating areas. One was just outside the elevator area and the 2nd was in the hall on the way to our room . Going home day I peeked on the other side of the resort and more seating there. It looked like a nice place to hang out while waiting for family etc.

Oh one family did have their breakfast one morning. What a good idea!

When we were there in December it was just individual beers - no 6 packs.

We’ve gotten the king rooms twice at Yacht because it’s usually just my husband and I. I’m not sure if it’s true of ALL king rooms, but at least the two we stayed in were an entirely different floor plan from the two queen rooms we’ve been in.

They don’t feel nearly as “upgraded” as the two queen after the renovations. The two queen rooms have gorgeous new giant storage cabinets and the king rooms just have two small basic closets. The two queen rooms have a larger vanity bathroom area that’s separate from the toilet & shower and that’s really nice. The king room it’s all crammed together and the bathroom door barely clears the toilet. And there’s little/no ventilation so if someone is showering, the mirror is fogged & unusable.

Next time we go back, I’ll specifically request NOT to have a king room because of those two things (storage + bathroom space).

We have a reservation at BCV in March and it just dawned on me that the villas are quite close to the gondola construction. I'm wondering, for those who have stayed at BCV recently, do you hear the construction during the day?

We were there in October and January and didn't hear a thing. We had rooms facing that direction; 431[Oct] and 461 [Jan]. To be honest, most of the heavy lifting looked like it was being wrapped up on the Gondola Station when we were there in January and the work being done was on the details and finishing touches. You may hear a couple of back-up beeps from construction vehicles, but that seems to be the norm regardless of the gondola construction.

Nope.

We requested view of gazebo. We had room 2097. It was a king room with shower. The view straight out was the gazebo but when on the balcony we had a great view of the lighthouse and water. We watched illuminations from the balcony.

We are doing a split stay (CR/YC) at the beginning of June. For our YC stay we have a water/lagoon view queen room. We’d like to be close to the lobby and still have a nice view of the lighthouse or lake. We probably don’t want to be over the pool b/c of noise. In my room request should I just specify “close to lobby” or is there any other way or group of rooms/area to ask for?
Also do I have specify a daybed or do all 2 queen rooms have daybeds already?
