That is quite a list! I always love to see your vacation plans. And super jealous of everyone that can plan in advance. I just cant seem to pull the trigger more than 2 months in advance. And I do not work, so it is not like work is holding me back! And DH has plenty of vacation time, so his really isn't either. We have commitment issues. lol
I am in the same boat. I do not have commitment issues lol but I have 4 kids. It's so hard to plan with all the commitments those kids have!

rip points... lol.
u must have a super nice stash!

Sitting at a little over 4.4 million right now :D

I have commitment issues too. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for about 20 years but can't make a decision LOL

Trip planning is where I need to slow down a bit. This year is shaping up to be another crazy year.

January - back from Antarctica after the first week of January and 10 days later then took off to New York for the Mickey Original Exhibition
February - weekend in WDW for Festival of the Arts
March - Dubai and Maldives
April - WDW for Flower & Garden
May - New Orleans using a 7 night cert from a Marriott Night & Flight package
June/July - Scotland
August - New York to see Hamilton, then a Disney Cruise a couple weeks later
September/October - Japan Adventures By Disney trip
October - Food & Wine at WDW
November - More F&W weekends and a Thanksgiving family trip to WDW,
December - DLR to see the Haunted Mansion Holiday. PlanePrincess doesn't even know we are doing this. He'll find out if he's lurking :rotfl:

Add to the above that we will go to DLR for Star Wars Land whenever they decide to open it and of course we will we doing it at WDW too. I just don't know when until they announce opening dates.
Holy cow that’s a lot

I struggle as well. I have 4 kids + 1 (soon to be DIL), but we homeschool so school isn't an excuse. I'm self employed so I'm free almost any time I want to be. My husband has limited time though. And unfortunately, as a contractor, when the contract changes hands he starts back over with very little PTO, which is where we are right now. Two of the kids are adults so if they are joining it can be hard to find time to fit everyone in. I'm tossing together a trip to Hawaii for August which thankfully I've been kind of planning for awhile so it's really down to just booking everything and getting the little stuff sorted out.

I don’t think we could get away with traveling that much. Dh probably wouldn’t have enough vacation and we definitely don’t have enough points lol.
My wife would kill me if I told her we were traveling that much, lol. Yet we have enough points and I have enough vacation time...go figure hahaha!

Would it be wrong to not cash out my URs just in an attempt to catch up to @calypso726 on total points?? LOL!

Who am I kidding...I'm like 1.4million behind her and I couldn't earn that many points this year if I maxed everything in my strategy AND didn't spend a point, LOL! @calypso726 - nice haul :D :thumbsup2

I was just going to say #lifegoals. But more for the traveling frequency than the points.

u hiding some MS secret from us!??? :P

I'd never do that. If I discovered anything new, I'd immediately let y'all know on the appropriate r/DISchurners thread. I haven't done any MS even though I specifically opened up throw away checking accounts last year to do so.

I don’t think we could get away with traveling that much. Dh probably wouldn’t have enough vacation and we definitely don’t have enough points lol.

I get 4 weeks PTO a year dumped into my vacation bank every June. DH gets 5 weeks but it has to be accrued. A lot of our trips are weekend or long weekends. ABD trips are the exception to that. So we might do 2-3 long vacations and then a few weekend or long weekend trips. We will also use paid holidays within a trip to maximize the time off and number of trips we can do. The 7 night certificate we have for New Orleans in May will be used over Memorial Day. We are only taking off Friday and staying 4 nights, not the full 7. We are going with friends and told them they were welcome to stay the extra 3 nights after we leave. The Scotland trip spans over July 4th, so that is one day that I don't need to take out of my PTO allotment.

Those aren't all UR points LOL Geez I wish! That number is everything between airlines, hotels, UR and MR points. I don't have @Lain's spreadsheet handy but I think you may have us beat on UR points. On URs we've got just shy of 893,000.

We're not traveling quite as much or as robustly, but we are heading to WDW this weekend for a week+ stay plus Princess races the following weekend. It's amazing how easy it is to justify WDW vacations with those DVC points, as we'll be returning in October/November and again in December! It's exciting.

I'm jealous of Hamilton tickets though. We haven't fit those in this year... yet. DW doesn't know yet but we are doing it again at some point. I don't know when yet either, but it's happening. It's hard to put into words just how much I think about that show. I did buy a I Am Not Throwing Away My Shot shot glass last time we went, so if I get sufficient use out of that again one night, we may just find ourselves with surprise tickets...

We went a little crazy the last few months :scared: In a 90 day period we did Disneyworld, Disneyland, and Hawaii. It was amazing but also a little intense.

That was us last year. We did DL and WDW/USO within 90 days. Plus we took a long weekend in Asheville, and I traveled A TON for horse shows, including going to Oklahoma for one.

This year is much quieter, mostly by necessity. I'm trying to hoard URs and buy up Disney GCs for the September trip, while also putting away cash for Japan next year. Our only other "vacations" planned for this year are work conferences haha. DH is getting sent to Austin in April, work sends me to VA Beach in August (DH gets to join), and I'm going to a conference in DC in November. I have a Marriott free night and I don't even know where I'm going to use it yet. I would love to go back to NYC to see Moulin Rouge once it hits Broadway, but the tickets for it are SO expensive.

Even when I don't cross timezones, I feel very knocked down each time I come home from a vacation now. Even non WDW trips where I haven't been running like a crazy person. It's the physical act of traveling that exhausts me I guess.

Me, too. I've always had terrible jet lag and getting older doesn't help it at all! I'm still tempted to fly to Australia and back just to skip my big bday coming up in 2020 though...

I don’t think we could get away with traveling that much.

Right now, we couldn't but if DH retires next year we could but the thing is you usually have lots of time or money, not both (at least in my life). So with retirement comes less funding (although this hobby supports my travel addiction, it in no way pays for it unlike some of you super savvy people!) AND we still have 4 dogs and we just can't be away from them too long-it's too expensive, I worry too much and 3 of them aren't happy if we're gone too long. My DD is fiercely independent and wouldn't notice, OTOH:laughing:

LOL-IIRC you have more than a million Marriott points. I just played a game with myself called What would you do with SFF's Marriott stash? Answer surprising no one: transfer to Delta/United and fly fly fly first class somewhere awesome.

Many of you have mentioned using Ally Bank, so I have a few questions after looking at their website.
I'd like to use as a place to park my 3-6 mos Dave Ramsey emergency fund. Is Ally Savings a good place for this? How fast can I get the $?
Can I use Ally Checking with Venmo to MS using CIP?
Is transferring $ to and from Ally and other bank accounts free?
Thank you
