I love credit cards so much! v2.0 (see first page for add'l details)

I don't buy TP or Paper towels at Costco. I buy them at both Target and CVS using their deals and gift cards. Usually I beat Costco prices and I stock up for about 6-12 months at a time. Plus I try to get them delivered as they are big and bulky for trying to drag home.
I think this would be my ideal plan down the line but right now it's not my closet to stockpile in :rotfl: sometimes DH gets concerned when I want to buy a ton of pasta because its 50 cents a box... I'm like, just wait until we move out. You have no idea

want to make sure our SW flights booked on points can get refunded.

As long as you cancel 10+ minutes before your SW flight booked on points, you'll get the points refunded back to your account. And the $5.60 fees/taxes can be refunded to the credit card you used to pay. Although if you changed your original fare because it dropped, I'm not sure if you get the $5.60 refunded back to the card or held as ticketless funds for use within 1 yr of original booking. There's been some changes recently with that, and I'm not clear what those are.

I could only find little kid sizes?
These are youth sizing. Depending on your women’s size, you can subtract 1.5-2 sizes to get the youth equivalent. I wear a women’s 7 but a youth 5 or 5.5. Since they have free returns I will probably order both.

Plight of the Churner...

I often find myself wishing away time...not intentionally, but it's difficult:
  • Can't wait until I'm under 5/24
  • Can't wait until I can apply for my next card (i.e. spreading Chase apps out by 2 months)
  • Can't wait until 95 days passes so I can get another Citi Biz AA card
  • Can't wait until my next trip
  • Can't wait until my card arrives...7-10 biz days is forever!
  • Can't wait until the automated status line changes to APPROVED
  • Can't wait until my points post
  • Can't wait until I have my CP
I could probably go on...I've experienced all of these above and I'm sure you've all experienced some (all?) of them and others I didn't mention. There isn't much of a point to this comment other than to say, I'm trying to live in the moment and stop wishing time away.

Of course this is somewhat trivial and I don't actually wish away good moments (i.e. my daughter's youth, etc.) but in times of boredom, this hobby often rises to the forefront of my mind. I hope that I can continue to use this hobby to PASS my time...but not to WISH AWAY my time :) Otherwise, I'll just be a 90 yr old dude with a billion URs and nothing to show for it :rotfl2:

Since some people have the bowl lift Kitchenaids here... I've got a wire whisk, that I picked up on clearance at Target a couple years ago because we couldn't find MILs, and I didn't know until I got home that it wasn't the right kind/size. I had completely forgotten about it until I found it a few weeks back. I figured that if someone here was interested I would happily throw it in the mail. Otherwise it's going to Goodwill.

It's this one: https://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KN256WW-6-Wire-Quart-Mixers/dp/B000Q9XE12

The box says it will fit models KD26, KH25, KV25, KP26, KT26, KJ26, KB26, KB25

@disneymagicgirl @CyndiLouWho You two talked me into it :laughing:I am going to order a pair of the Asics. I think dd18 is as well. Amazon has them for the same price with free returns. Is there a reason to order from zappos over Amazon?
Well now we’ll recognize each other in the parks. Lol
I already had a Zappos account, turned out it had a $5 bonus so I used that. Otherwise I’d think they’re the same.

We have a bunch of single days and early dismissals but that doesn’t make it as easy to get away. Like when just went to Universal for a long weekend he missed the Thurs at the end of the marking period but it made difficult since teachers were giving exams up until that point plus the snow days didn’t help.
Early dismissals are Wednesday’s, but most of the full days off are Friday or Monday

NEW CHASE SUPPORT LINK AVAILABLE:
Before you get too excited it's NOT CSR...SW Priority Card now offers ability to generate support link

Anybody with a SW priority card - could you let us know what the offer is? (I'd assume it's just 40k but let's check in case it's something better!)

Thanks!

EDIT: Bummer - just the standard 40k offer. Still for those with the card, feel free to add to your reddit profiles and such.

EDIT2: Apparently others had already figured this out as there were links on DISchurners already. You should tell us when you find this stuff folks :P :P HAHA!

Zappos was incredible when I ordered using their, 'we'll get it to you in time for Xmas' deal a couple years back. I ordered a marc Jacobs handbag for daughter and it didn't come on xmas eve as promised so I called them Xmas eve. The purse was delivered on the 26th but I got compensated very well, more than half the cost of the handbag in store credit.
I also have to say their service is pretty good. Last year I ordered DS and I hiking shoes. His Keens came and when he pulled the lace tight, the lace hole ripped (it was like a tab). I called them and explained what happened. They shipped a new pair and told me to keep the others. I glued the tab and gave the shoes to my nephew. Win win.

Amazon now owns Zappos, but Zappos kinda operates independently of Amazon. Part of the acquisition agreement allowed Zappos to remain is unique culture and customer-focused approach. If price is the same, I would probably say go with Zappos just because it really goes above and beyond! Sometimes Amazon will even mention items are shipped and sold from Zappos. It is a very unique arrangement.

Great conversation starter. I feel the same. We all probably do to some extent. But I'm coming around to the fact that:

  • I need more simplicity in my life, and that is just going to mean opening and maintaining less cards - I have enough stress with work, I don't need it from my hobbies!
  • I need to force myself to keep fewer cards to save on annual fees
  • I need to stop planning so many trips. :scared1: Even when I don't cross timezones, I feel very knocked down each time I come home from a vacation now. Even non WDW trips where I haven't been running like a crazy person. It's the physical act of traveling that exhausts me I guess. This is going to be a hard pill for me to swallow. 2019 has 3 vacations on the calendar (Disney cruise that is done, Vegas in April for Aerosmith and then Europe in August). If I'm honest, I know I'll end up adding somewhere else too. Since I'm sick, I've spent most of the weekend in bed and I've been wondering what staycations are like. I never thought I'd be curious about that... must be old age. Or the NyQuil. :rotfl2:

This was my whole life until I had DS. Literally spent grade school wishing it was over, middle school must be better. Middle school was boring, can’t wait til high school. High school sucks, college will be better. Etc etc. I was always waiting for the next thing. Always thinking it would be better. Now with DS, I wish things were slower. Can’t believe he’s 10 next month, where did the time go? Of course, there he is wishing he was older, could do more things, etc.

Met the $4,000 spend on the new SW card with 30,000 points and companion pass offer. Statement closed on Friday and points have already posted. Can someone tell me how long before the CP becomes available? Fine print on offer says up to 8 weeks; I'm really hoping it's not that long.

I don't know how many people (anybody?) that has gone for that offer here. You might be the first DP on that :) Keep us posted if nobody else answers. I'd imagine it would be much quicker than 8 weeks (maybe a week at most...?)
