Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

One thing that is new to us with this stay is that with each turndown service we receive a personalized ‘Guide To The Magic’ printout with our plans for the next day, the weather, and personalized tips based on our plans. So for instance we have Epcot FP for tomorrow and our tips are about Epcot rides and restaurants.

We save them and use them in photo albums!!! It’s cool to look back at them and think “oh yeah I remember that day it was 75 and wonderful or 102 and anywhere I was a pool was following”.....:lmao:

Maybe they just skipped a year??! The 7/4 food was always pretty popular there!
There were a lot of "suits" there for 7/3 for the 4th.celebration. We arrived the 3rd and while I waited for my room I chatted with a cm who was getting everything ready. They addded the vases that day. (The metal thing there now)

So it's possible they didn't want it too folksy with their expected guests.

Then I only saw some people walk around later but nothing really happened. I guess just a quick "check" ?

Hopefully 7/4 2019 will be fun for y'all heading down. Looks like I'll be Memorial this year and not 7/4. WaH!

I go to poly for the view from lounge, pool and beach access and resort ambiance.

I like the fun vibe of poly . GF is more quiet. However the 3rd floor of poly is a nice quiet spot and they just added new seating too!

I love both as much as I love my 2 kids. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Gf has more offerings, evening entertainment and the room and lounge are in main building for rpc. That is nice for hot or rainy days etc.

However poly is much easier to take stuff out to the pool or beach being only steps away. Also EPW and HEA are just awesome from poly and only good from gf.

Also poly has a bathroom on the lounge which is nice arrival and checkout days. GF you have to leave the lounge and go to another floor.

Oh lastly I give poly an edge to Transportation. Walking to/from ttc can be handy for Epcot.

So I could go,on and on but both are great and I hope if you try poly you love it too.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I never feel helpful when people ask about the mono resorts. I really have a great trip every time at all of them.

Nothing bad to say lol.

I agree (although I can only speak on the Poly & GF as we haven't stayed at CR yet) :).

Just back from first time at YC CL. As usual, there are pros and cons. (previous CL stays include Poly, CR, BWI, and GF RPC for comparison).

Loved the location with the boat dock right outside and first pick up and drop off on the buses. Overall we had a great time (the weather helped) and I would stay here again.

Thanks for your review. Glad you had a great time :wizard:.

Hi Club Level folks! I am staying Animal Kingdom Lodge club level starting 1/30 and need some room location advice. Does anyone have recommendations regarding which room number(s) to request?

I'd like to have a short walk to the lobby/parking lot but also easy access to the pool area. But the view is also important! (I know I probably can't have it all, but I can try!)

We are in two rooms, each w/ 2 queen beds.

Thanks!

Request “Zebra Trail, near lobby”.

To add a visual to @RachelTori’s excellent advice, CL rooms are on the 4th floor facing the Arusha Savanna, either Kudu Trail or Zebra Trail. Zebra Trail is best for access to the pool. The big arrow on the map below was our room, 4505, in April. Ideally if you say “near lobby” you’d get one of those two “segments” of room banks to the left of our room, would make the walk to the lobby a touch closer. I kind of feel the animal viewing is a littler better middle to further out down either trail, but I haven’t stayed in enough rooms over time to know if I’m accurate in that assessment. Most of the animal viewing during our week in this room was straight ahead or to the right, not as much to the left. But animals are always on the move so one experience won’t exactly match what you encounter.

Hope you enjoy your stay!

I keep everything we get for my kids from every trip. We hope they’ll remember their trips fondly when they get older.

Nice...:thumbsup2

I hope when mine are older that the tradition of Disney Vacations continues and they enjoy them with their families and obviously still us once in awhile, I’m young somewhat still I guess, but very exciting to look forward to!!!

Us too... that’s why we got 2 DVC contracts, one for each down the road... although they’re already fighting over who gets which one

Stopped at Portofino?!

It was very strange the way they acted like something really big was going to happen and then...nothing! But I will admit that the barbecued ribs and mashed potatoes were a hit with my family (we’re big on barbecue in this part of the country)! However, the sliders the year before were really good too! Trishadono, you will be greatly missed this 4th of July and on any other Disney trip we don’t overlap... but I’m still hoping we’ll be in RPC together for Memorial Day! New Year’s weekend was a blast!

GADisneyDad's post was a bit more informative than mine! (OK, a LOT more informative!!) :rotfl:

You will have a wonderful vacation and I hope you fall in love with AKL as much as many of us here have! (I'll be back at AKL-CL in May -- can't get here fast enough!! Actually doing a split stay 4 nights AKL-CL; 7 nights WL-CL :goodvibes)

Someone important HAD to be checking in/around the day we checked out that week. Lounge full of managers, the GM was up there (had never seen that before), the menu that morning was totally different. It was weird!

Just back from first time at YC CL. As usual, there are pros and cons. (previous CL stays include Poly, CR, BWI, and GF RPC for comparison).

Loved the rooms with the hardwood floors. Room felt very new and clean. Liked the overall feel of the resort but it may be a bit dark for some.

Breakfast: was described as 'continental'. They would always have hard boiled eggs but they only had a crustless quiche (very good) one day. They put out some kind of cold cut each day (roast beef, ham, salami or turkey) but it just felt a little spartan. They also put out brie and goat cheese each morning. Bowls of individual cut up fruit and a daily choice of oatmeal or cheese grits. Danish, croissants, and bagels available.

Lunch time snacks: basic, sometimes bananas, but limited cheese and fruit compared to what you would see at Poly or GF. Chips, mini pitas and tomato pesto. Yogurt pretzels, goldfish, house chex mix. Not worth returning to resort unless you need a glass of wine.

Dinner: Some really good main dishes, and a soup every night. Mains included salmon and lentils, Buffalo chicken (our favorite), spiced pork with polenta, meatballs with marinara and pot roast with mash. The small dishes included on various nights: spiced shrimp cocktail, tomato and mozzarella, beef on toast, tuna poke in a cone. They had romaine hearts with ceasar dressing one night, and chicken nuggets alternated with mac and cheese. They provide big plates and servings are portioned on the larger side.

We loved the Edy's ice cream fridge. And btw they sell those Olaf bars in Epcot for $5.25 each o_O

The CM vibe was weird here. Their desks are situated so that you have to pass them every time you enter the lounge. They would always stop whatever they were doing and I realized that I actually like to feel a little more anonymous rather than have CMs staring at me every time I went by. Lounge service was mixed: most CMs left plates sit for a very long time and no where to drop a used glass or dish. Also, they closed up shop early each night. One night all the cordials were gone by 9:45pm. We were met with a fairly combative CM who insisted they didn't carry Kahlua (we had just seen it there). When he finally agreed they had it, he said that it couldn't be served over ice and brought a very small cordial glass over to my husband. From then on he was Kahlua Man and we tried to avoid him. Another night they took the juices away at 9:20. My husband requested iced tea just after I had just seen CM wheel the stuff away. CM then tried making it from a tea bag and squeezing a lemon into it, then spilled the whole thing. Most of the CMs were friendly.

Loved the location with the boat dock right outside and first pick up and drop off on the buses. Overall we had a great time (the weather helped) and I would stay here again.
Great report, thank you. So, how did YC CL compare to BWI and GF RPC? Trying to decide between those 3!
