I love credit cards so much!

Is anybody in our group churning AA cards? Are people looking for personal, business, or both offers? I'm continuing to read up on this personally as it could become a minor part of my 2019 strategy and just want to know who else wants to be kept up to speed on things if I find anything out OR anything changes.
Yes I am. I have 4 personal mailers right now just sitting while I consider whether me or DH should blow through 5/24

Signed up for the Wells Fargo Biz checking $500 bonus at the beginning of October and the bonus is finally pending today. It took a couple of phone calls to get it sorted out. I'm not sure why so many people had trouble with this one - including me - especially considering how easy and automatic WF personal bonuses post. But at least that's done.

Me! Used to get a ton of mailers but haven’t gotten any recently. Need to sign the dog up. I need to get a Biz for DH soon. I also need to do my $200 AA credit on my Biz before I close it. I can just buy a $200 gift card direct from AA to trigger the credit, right?

Also, it’s seeming like maybe an AA gift card isn’t that useful unless I want to fly a domestic AA flight. I don’t have any planned for the foreseeable future. Thinking maybe I’ll just sell this GC. I’ve never tried Raise or anything like that. Advice on best place to sell without getting burned?

I use cardcash.

As long as my BF is in NC, I'll be grabbing AA miles as much as I can. I've gotten the Barclay Red and the Citi Biz so far

Wait, the citi biz has a $200 offer? Say what? I have it and haven't come across any mention of it.

It was easy for me, but I stuck to one card and one transaction after a weird experience at Office Depot the day before. She did check that my ID matched my credit card, so that might be helpful to know. My location only had fixed denomination cards, so I bought a $50 Disney GC and a $10 Google Play GC for my husband.
HOw do I see if the credit went thru? I hit staples yesterday for amazon gc(since I can always use those) is it on acct page,or the app?

I'm interested in this card as well. So the Disney tickets coded as travel for reimbursement at the full 1%?

I bought the DLR tickets from Last Minute Travel, and yes, they did code as travel so I could use the points to 'erase' the charge. I plan to buy the WDW tickets from UCT, and the DP's I've read say that will code as travel for the Arrival+.

Buying tickets directly from Disney will not code as travel, but as entertainment.

DH and I each got the Arrival + a couple of months ago and then bought WDW tickets from UCT. We successfully used our points to erase most of the ticket price!

3) Math between CSR & CSP is $55 more for CSR. Do you think you’ll get $55 worth out of the CSR this year?
ya know....:rotfl2:in spite of the 'mathy' folks here showing me numbers on that a while back, and percentages etc,I still can;t figure out ahead of time if it's really worth it or not. I'll know when the year is done lol. I do eat out a lot,so I guess that's good for that (no gold amex for me) and I do plan to do some car rentals so I'll probably make it up since they're usually cheaper thru the portal.....

Before I've gotten an email for Chase offers, I will see the offer moved to Offers Redeemed in the app. And the total amount saved updates. Then a day or two later I usually get an email from Chase.

My stomach was in knots when I filled out the app, how stupid is that??
That's why I'm SMH after my young friends' SWA app experience vs. yours..... he didn't even think about it,just did it and was auto approved twice on the same card....:confused3

Bank Bonuses Step One: Verify DHs regular bank account with Ally and send most of savings to it. Says it should arrive Monday. Today/this weekend while working I will plan my Bank Bonus attack. Figure I'll start with Discover and anything else that doesn't need to sit for 6 months...

In any event, it is now easy to transfer/share HHonors points with a spouse so no real reason not to have the points go to your wifes account. Not sure if at this point it is best to let it ride, or call Amex and explain you used the wrong HHonors number by mistake and see if they can correct it.
Hilton points transfer..... how long does it usually take? we did it yesterday, and still not transferred over.....

Discover is a good one to start with because it is extraordinarily easy and fast to post. Ally can be annoying because they have a 3 business day ACH hold, but they're great otherwise.

What about JB biz? I think you may have missed higher sign up bonus but rumor has it if you have both the biz and personal you get 20% back with redemption. If you fly JB this could be very valuable. Otherwise I’d lower CLs and wait until after 2/20 and go for CIU. I’m in a very similar line up so keep us posted what route you go.
JB is valubale to keep? why? I like the flights we got for free, but so far nothing but hassle to get those 10% points back.....

Does anyone here know anything about Alaska Cruises? Next year will by our 25th Anniversary. (not sure how that happens when your only 30..) I always plan our vacations and DH and kids just go wherever. (Usually Disney or Caribbean Cruises) DH has always wanted to do an Alaskan Cruise - I have always been hesitant because it does not have really warm weather and palm trees. But I hear they are great. So, I was going to surprise him next year with this cruise. Our anniversary is in March but would go in June/July. I still have CSR so could book on points at 1.5 redemption. I started doing some research and just keep getting more confused on where to go. I did read not to go out of Seattle but go out of Vancouver as it is more scenic and calmer. Any suggestions would be great... Thanks.
we did an inside passage out of seattle and it was FANTASTIC.... 2 years ago, 2nd sail of the season so late April- I want to do it again! Holland America..... got a great deal and combined a couple(or three) Csr Travel credits to make it cheap!

Thank you! I know I"ve read that before, but forgot about getting tickets from a travel agency to get it to code as travel. I finally got the okay from DH to take my boys to Disneyland to take advantage of those promo tickets and the Disney tickets disappear from Chase Portal :badpc:
