dang it I need Dick's and don't have it.

The offers will show up if I log in, but if I log in as DH they don't. I delete app and then get it again and log in as DH and they show but then relog as me and they don't. Anyone else have to delete the app to see them on 2 accounts?

Same problem with logging into accounts. I just log in to my account on my app and made DH install the app on his phone. I log in and check his. Was doing that tonight and he was walking around the house trying to find his phone

The Container Store is like candy to me, I see all those pretty organized things and I WANT.

I found that Amazon sells TCS gift cards, and I can apply 1 MR to get 20% off the gift card. I tried to then buy with an Amazon gc but something has changed this week that doesn't allow me to do that anymore, so I put the purchase on my BBP that I'm meeting MSR on.

Anyhow, I went through Ebates (15% off with in-store pickup, plus 8% cash back) and used my TCS gift card, and got a pretty good discount on my purchase!

I love The Container Store too. DH and I have been using the Marie Kondo book to get rid of a lot of stuff we have accumulated, and I have found I am now more selective about what I buy, so I actually trust myself to enter TCS now!

Thanks for the tip about ebates in-store pickup. For those who don't have the Amazon deal, there's also an AmEx offer I had on a few of my cards (can't recall the exact details but it was something like spend $150 get $30).

No prepayment allowed?? Gah! I do pay the fee to pay our utilities with card which is also why I try to always pay for 6-12 months at a time while working on an MSR.

The electric company drives me especially nuts. Current bill only, no autopay. Just login, pay fee & current bill only. For water/sewer/garbage, our small burb uses a service, so I can at least autopay with CC. I actually paid that late a couple times because they send you a silly post card for a bill and it’s every 3 months. Now at least there’s an email reminder that your bill is ready and I have autopay. Don’t get me started on the auto loan thru the credit union that doesn’t take electronic payments or CC. Yep, an actual check dropped off in person every stinking month.

First thing that came to mind when I saw their comments Probably why my mind didn't go in the gutter when I read it either.

Also can't wait because their newest location opens on the 12th like 4 miles from my house! Glad I won't have to go into Seattle any more. But I can't tell you how many times I've said I'm going to get some Dick's when I go home to friends in CA or NC when I was living in both and they'd say what? It's not a problem here because everyone knows what it is.

Oh and to bring it back to churning, they finally started taking cards a couple years ago, it used to be all cash. And you have to order your ketchup or tartar sauce for dipping, they are 5 cents each. And no special orders, you get it as it is. But it's the best and you'll argue with people here whether Dick's is better or In n Out.

I think you've mentioned refundable fares before and I bought an Anytime fare to meet the final $263 of my Biz Plat MSR (and then lo and behold, my travel plans changed) just to buy myself more time to meet the MSR. Refundable Hotels . com "pay now" reservations are good for that too. I just make sure they are F A R in the future so as to not mess with inventory too much.

The room is in his name since he's here on work so this one is going to be on him, at least round 1. I've had it - I want compensation. Show tickets, buffet passes, a gift card. I don't care. But we're getting something. I haven't been able to wash my hair half the time we're here because it's just too cold.

I’ve hesitated up to this point to mention that strategy for topping off a CP. It’s one of my “unicorns” if you will, LOL! I would never close a chase card with a negative point balance - but you can use the strategy to either take an advance on your Anniv points or just meet the spend later. For what it’s worth, I’ve employed that strategy for numerous reasons on my SW cards many times over the years and never had any negative repercussions.

I'd probably pay the fee. I would never trust the card issuer to be reasonable when reporting anything late (even in this situation). It should be very easy to either get the $69 refunded later OR move that credit balance to another card still open.

Just thought I'd share my experience on this. I scheduled my AF payment yesterday for today (wouldn't let me use yesterday since I already had a payment that day). I log in this morning and see an AF refund on my account! My $69 payment hasn't hit yet so right now my acct balance is $0, soon to be a credit balance of $69. I guess I should have waited until today to make sure that didn't happen before paying it. Oh well, i have another card with a balance that I'll ask to transfer it to.

I'm hoping for some advice on when I can safely go for my next Chase card. Here are my stats:

Currently 4/24, 3 cards dropping off in May/June.

Recent Chase history:
SW Plus - opened 10/16 - just closed
SW Premier - opened 12/17 or 1/18, will be closing in 1/19
SW Biz - opened 1/18, will be closing in 1/19
Marriott Biz - opened 6/18
CIP- just opened 11/2/18

I'm thinking to go for the CIC next, as soon as it's safe. I'd love to try for it now, but in reality thinking I should wait until Feb when I would be down to no Chase personal cards and 2 biz cards. Thoughts? It's just hard to wait because I have a $6k expense coming up (DVC add on, should be soon but don't know exactly when), I'm about halfway through my CIP MSR, and technically I'd be eligible to go for another Chase card. I'm trying to convince P2 to go for the Arrival Plus but no dice so far.

Oh, and if it's helpful here are my other cards:

Barclay Aviator Biz
US Bank Biz Edge

The last Amex card I applied for (Delta) a few months ago I got the popup. Been trying to put some spend on my cards but haven't applied since then.
