Chapter 7 continued…

Aurora tried to get him to interact with her but he held off until the very end.

IMG_6112.jpg IMG_6114.jpg
Then Ariel came over and he was all about her.

IMG_6117.jpg IMG_6118.jpg

When it was time for the parade, Ariel came and got him to help lead it. Then of course I was the creepy looking adult following behind. The guys had a good laugh about it. But, I had to follow because he was so cranky and tired, I didn’t know what he might do. I should have known he would be the perfect angel since he was with Princess Ariel.

IMG_6119.jpg IMG_6121.jpg

In between all of the princesses, we ordered and I have absolutely no recollection of who got what. I think we ordered: Tradisjonell Kjøttkake - Norwegian Meatballs served with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, and Lingonberry Sauce and Svinestek med Frukt - Seared Pork Tenderloin - with Apricot Glaze, Multigrain Pilaf, Sautéed Mushrooms, and an Apple-Fennel Slaw. I’m pretty sure D got the mac-n-cheese. We didn’t order anything specifically for G because I knew he’d eat a little of this and a little of that if we were lucky. Well, on one of my visits to the buffet, the guys ordered him a kid’s pizza because he said that was what he wanted. He finally did pick at it but he would only eat standing up.

As we were finishing up, we realized the fireworks were about to start. I knew our safest bet was to stay inside until they were over. We explained to our waiter and he told us there was absolutely no rush and for us to just enjoy ourselves. We ordered dessert and they also brought out a cupcake with a candle for G and a birthday card signed by all of the princesses. We ate until we couldn’t eat anymore and still was able to take some desserts to go. When the fireworks started, we could hear them but they weren’t loud. G did ask what the noise was and we told him. You could tell he was a little anxious because he kept talking about them. We finally finished up and headed out once the fireworks were over. The guys had to go to the bathroom so they boys and I hung out by the front and we got to see some of the princesses again. This helped distract G momentarily because he kept asking if the fireworks were all done. Even getting in the stroller he kept wanting reassurance.

Then we started the long trek over to the International Gateway. We were checking into a new resort that was within walking distance. R walked with us even though he needed to go to the parking lot.

We said our goodbyes with a promise to see him one more time the next day before we boarded the Tragical Express.

D had no idea where we were going until we were about to walk in the door.

Chapter 7 continued…

IMG_6124.jpg IMG_6125.jpg IMG_6126.jpg IMG_6127.jpg

It was a little snug but we've stayed in value so it wasn't an issue for us.

We found the pack-n-play in the closet. Got it all set-up and D’s bed made. We did baths and went to bed. This was our latest night out this trip and we were tired.

What a great day!! I have never caught Character Training at Epcot, so that's definitely a goal for a future trip! We really love eating at Akershus. My son is a Princess lover (still! at age 9! I always wonder if that will wear off soon, but I think he just loves the attention they give him :) )

I have never caught Character Training at Epcot, so that's definitely a goal for a future trip!

We try to time it so that we hit at least one on our visits.

We really love eating at Akershus. My son is a Princess lover (still! at age 9! I always wonder if that will wear off soon, but I think he just loves the attention they give him :) )

It's funny because we actually expected to hate the food at Akershus our first visit and ended up loving it. We thought we would be one and done. But I actually would love to eat there a third time.

I expect our boys will be princess lovers for awhile. They love that attention.

Edited to add: I see you are going on a Disney cruise next Christmas. I was trying to see if we would be on the same one but based on your countdown, I think we will miss you by a week. We are surprising the boys with a Disney Cruise but we are going the week before Christmas.

42 Days!!!

I’m excited and stressed all at the same time. We are so ready to go back to Disney even though we were just there in September. However, I have not been able to run in about 3 weeks due to shin splints and I am stressing about my training and running the half. I have not run the full distance yet and I don’t think I will get to before we leave. I had to stop running completely and when I do get to attempt to start back next week, I have to take it easy and run shorter distances. I don’t know that I will be able to build up to the full distance in time without re-injuring. But moving on to happier things….

Since G is still free ($$) for this last visit before he turns 3, we made a ton of ADRs – so many that C says we will probably do the DDP again. Bring on the food!! popcorn:: Notes to self - we will not “save” snack credits for just-in-cases. If D wants a snack and a chocolate milk, then he can have them (something we were concerned with the first time we did the DDP and therefore we ended up with way too many left the last day).

So, right now we have the following ADRs:

Coral Reef - dinner

T-Rex - lunch

Sanaa – dinner *NEW*

Garden Grill - breakfast

1900 PF – breakfast *NEW for this meal*

Artist Point – dinner *NEW*

Ohana – breakfast *NEW*

Beaches & Cream – lunch

I plan to do at least one more update from our September trip and then maybe a brief breakdown of our plans for January before we leave.

Onto the last update for the real reason for this trip report. ;)

Chapter 8: Travel Day – “Slide. Slide. No Slide!”

I have absolutely no notes for this day so it’s all coming from memory.

I believe we set an alarm because we had an ADR at Cape May for our first time. We made it down in time. In fact, we got to see what a big deal they make for the first family at Cape May. Minnie came out and got the first family. It was very cute and exciting for that family.

I also remember that at some point I got G’s yogurt all over the front of my shirt. I was extremely ill about this and I wanted to go change. C told me it was fine so I didn’t go but I was very self-conscious about it the entire time. The food was good, the characters were fun, and G was his usual cranky, “I don’t want to see the characters until they leave us” self. He completely missed Minnie doing this and was even crankier afterwards.

IMG_6130.jpg IMG_6134.jpg IMG_6136.jpg IMG_6129.jpg IMG_6128.jpg

After breakfast, we headed back to the room to pack up our luggage for airline check-in and to get our swimsuits on. We just had to go checkout the famous Beach Club pools.

IMG_6139.jpg IMG_6140.jpg

This is all I took a picture of. So sad.

As you can tell it was overcast and it was actually very cool. It was also raining off and on. But we went anyway. We took the stroller with the rain cover on it and parked it by some chairs that were semi-covered. We piled our towels and everything else we wanted to stay dry in the seat. We found a life jacket for both boys and went exploring.

We tried out the sand bottom pool, the lazy river, and even went to check out the big slide. The boys liked the sandy area. C and I liked the lazy river but D refused to get in it. In fact, he walked around the outside of it crying while we went around a couple of times. We couldn’t even get him in it with one of the floats. After 2 times, we got out too because he was just pitiful. G seemed to like it. No one actually went down the big slide because we were all actually cold by this time. G did try out the smaller slide once. He saw it and said “Slide! Slide!” until I sat him down on it and he said “No slide!” The water was actually pretty intense for a small slide. He did go down it but it wasn’t pretty. His fell over on the way down and the water splashed on his face a lot. C got him before he went under but he was still upset. So we headed back over to the pool area and C and D got in the hot tub for a moment to warm up. G had started shivering and was tired, so I took him to the chairs and wrapped him up in towels. He fell asleep for about 15 minutes. Finally C and D were ready to be done so we went over to the restrooms to change into dry clothes and get ready for our last ADR of the trip.

Beaches and Cream is our last day tradition. It has become our thing to book a lunch ADR before we have to catch the ME back to the airport. We were also meeting R and his daughter A for their first time. We were actually quite surprised they hadn’t eaten there before since they live in Orlando and are also Disney fanatics.

I think I remember that they were a little late. I also remember that they did not have an ADR but C went over about an hour before to ask if we could add 2 more to ours and they said no problem. They actually thanked him for the hour notice because they said they usually get notified about 5 mins before and then the party has to wait about 30 minutes to be seated.

So when they arrived, we were seated almost immediately. After our first visit, C and I decided it was best to share an appetizer because what we really wanted was the ice cream. G and D ordered the mac-n-cheese and hot dog meals, I think. C and I ordered the Chili-Cheese Fries. R and A ordered one of the burgers to share.

Then it was time for the real reason we were there. C and I ordered our usual: No Way Jose and Fudge Mud Slide. The boys went with the Mickey Mouse Sundaes. I don’t remember what R and A ordered but I do know they were amazed at the size

We finished up and still had time to kill before needing to head out front. So we meandered that way just chatting and the kids played for a while.

IMG_6141.jpg

Then it was time to say our goodbyes. On a funny note, the ME bus pulled up and let people off and then drove off. Those of us that were out there waiting all kind of looked around wondering what was going on. I believe it was even a little past the time of when we were suppose to be picked up. Within 5 minutes the same bus was pulling back in. There was a new guy being trained and the driver. Apparently one of them was confused. So we gave them our letter and got on the bus.

G passed out.

IMG_6144.jpg

We made it to the airport and through the extremely long security line with 2 hours to kill. I do remember there were no issues with the plane this time. I also have this pic of D passed out on the plane.

IMG_2813.jpg

We made it home without any hitches - other than sadness.

Edited to add: I see you are going on a Disney cruise next Christmas. I was trying to see if we would be on the same one but based on your countdown, I think we will miss you by a week. We are surprising the boys with a Disney Cruise but we are going the week before Christmas.
We are on the Disney Dream 12/23-12/27. I seriously CANNOT wait!!!! I can't remember when I set my countdown if I did it for our actual cruise embarkation day or the date we are traveling to Orlando. We are going down a day early just in case there is bad Chicago weather that interferes with us!

What are your plans?

Notes to self - we will not “save” snack credits for just-in-cases. If D wants a snack and a chocolate milk, then he can have them (something we were concerned with the first time we did the DDP and therefore we ended up with way too many left the last day).
The first time we did the DDP we made the same mistake!!!! Now, I'm like, "who wants a snack?!!" the whole trip long :)

What are your plans?

I believe we board the ship on 12/16. C has all of the details so I could be off by a day. I know we plan to fly down the day before and stay somewhere DVC so we aren't worried about getting to the ship late. I think it is a 4 night cruise.

The first time we did the DDP we made the same mistake!!!! Now, I'm like, "who wants a snack?!!" the whole trip long :)

EXACTLY!

Oh, rats, we WILL just mess you!! Well, in any case, we have cruised before, but it has been 12 years!! So, it feels like we're starting brand new from scratch. I'm excited to see it through my son's eyes this time.

So I was getting ready to post about our 3rd day (and final update for this TR) when I realized I have not posted day 2. I considered skipping it altogether but we had a couple of cool experiences (and one not so cool) that I wanted to share. So here is Part 1 of Day 2 of my trip report within a trip report.

Day 2: Animal Kingdom & Chef Mickey’s Part 1

Highlights (still ended up being too long):

We slept as late as we wanted, got ready, ate some pop tarts, repacked suitcases, and headed out. We dropped our bags off at Bell Services to send to BLT and headed to catch a bus to AK.

This was a “do what we want to do and get back early for our ADR and early bedtime” day.

C had some characters he wanted to make sure we saw and I didn’t really have anything specific I wanted to do.

Our first FP was the Navi River Journey.

I love this part of the park. The details are wonderful.

IMG_6372.jpg IMG_6373.jpg

Second was the Safari.

Okay, this started out a disaster. First of all, the FP line was backed up all the way to the entrance. Second, IT WAS HOT! (This is going to be a recurring theme). Third, there was a dad and small child (I’m pretty sure he was about a year to maybe 18 months old) behind us and the child screamed the ENTIRE time. I completely get that he was hot and tired and just plain cranky. We kind of all were even though it was still morning. G was pretty cranky but thankfully he wasn’t screaming. But, this child screamed a high pitch scream the entire ride. We were in the front seat (first time for us) and we saw lots of animals, some new to us. But we were ready for it to be over pretty quickly. We finally made it back to get off, when our driver turned around to stop us. She asked us if we wanted to ride again. We looked at each other in shock and said YES! G really didn’t want to ride again. I think he was hungry. But we didn’t want to pass this opportunity up. The driver radioed whoever to tell them we were staying on. Then we pulled up to a different spot so we could change drivers. She told the new driver what was going on and we were off to load up some more passengers. The second trip around was much more pleasant and it was a completely different ride! I mean, we’ve heard how no two Safari rides are the same, but we were surprised with it being back to back. We did get stopped a few times by some animals getting in the way. They certainly don’t get in any hurry

Our third FP was Mickey and Minnie.

AK_ADVOUTPOSTB1CHARACTER_20180920_413365159644.jpg

Then we grabbed some lunch at Restarauntosaurus. Oh, it was so nice to sit in some air conditioning!

Afterwards, we split up. C and D went to see the characters C really wanted to meet and G and I went to see a few old favorites.

AK_AERIALADVCHAR_20180920_413365987594.jpg AK_CRETACEOUSTRAILCHAR_20180920_413365942992.jpg AK_TREASURETROVECHAR_20180920_413366291844.jpg AK_UPPERCRETTRAILCHAR_20180920_413366226950.jpg

D insisted on riding Triceratops Spin. G decided halfway through the line that he didn’t want to ride so we found an empty bench in the shade.

IMG_6379.jpg

By this time, G was really needing to nap. D wanted to ride the train to Rafiki’s (especially since there were rumors it was closing for good). I chose to stay back with G to try and get him to nap. I knew there was a minor chance they would let us leave the stroller up but I didn’t want to risk it. I took G to the Baby Care Center to try to nap in air condition. This didn’t work at all so we ended up leaving. I thought if I could get him moving he’d pass out in the stroller. So we went strolling back behind the tree. We checked to see if anyone was in Flik’s old spot but there was no one there. G still didn’t show signs of sleeping so we went to grab a Dole Whip. We took it back to the shade to share. Then we headed to the Gorilla Falls trail.

C and D had fun at Rafiki’s. C said it was pretty much empty. D saw Doc twice and Rafiki twice. Rafiki apparently came and got D because there was no one else around :rotfl:. They petted some animals and D got his first Wilderness Explorer Badge (technically it was his second but he wasn’t really interested in it the first time).

G and I had a leisurely stroll through the trail where he did NOT fall asleep. We made it to the end where there was a nice shaded rock to sit on. We sat for a bit and then it started to sprinkle. Just a short ways back had been a cave so I loaded G up and quickly headed back to it. The rain got harder and there were other guests that had stopped in the cave. We found a spot to park the stroller and just chilled. Then it started pouring. My thought was “There is no way I’m walking around in wet shoes again!” C texted me to say they were taking cover at the train station. It rained and rained, and a river started running through the cave, and it rained some more.
IMG_6380.jpg
A cast member joined us to tell us that we could leave the trail completely or we had to stay in the cave until the rain lightened. The trail was officially closed due to lightening in the area. G stayed in the stroller (thank goodness) and I was able to keep my feet out of the rushing river. At one point, I turned Moana music on my phone and G finally went to sleep. C texted me when it started slacking off to say they were going to head our way in about 10 minutes. We were about to have to head to our ADR.

It finally did lighten up and we met back up to leave. On the way out, we spotted a place where D could get another Wilderness Badge so we paused to do that. G stayed asleep until we had to get him up to get on the bus.

We made it to the Contemporary and to Chef Mickey’s (first time).

BIG YAY for that pixie dust!!! A nice little reward for having survived the whole first safari with a kid screaming in your ear!

I love Launchpad McQuack!!! I can't wait to meet him in May :)

G stayed in the stroller (thank goodness) and I was able to keep my feet out of the rushing river. At one point, I turned Moana music on my phone and G finally went to sleep.
That sounds like a perfect spot to nap with Moana and the rain to fall asleep to. Glad he snuck some sleep in before your ADR.

Day 2: Animal Kingdom & Chef Mickey’s Part 2

Since alcoholic drinks are included in the DDP, C ordered an Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea and I ordered Piña Colava.

IMG_6381.jpg

Oh my goodness this was delicious!

We grabbed mac-n-cheese for the boys but neither one really liked it.

IMG_6383.jpg

I tried a variety of things I don’t remember. Some were good, some not so good.

IMG_6382.jpg

We of course saw Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, and Minnie. I won’t post any of those because I feel like we have some many of the boys with those characters already.

We totally pigged out on the desserts and then finally headed out.

We stopped by the quick service place to get out mugs since we were now officially on the DDP for the next 24 hours. I really wanted the Halloween mugs but they were out.

Then we headed to our room.

G refused to come outside on the balcony – 1) it was dark. 2) The fireworks were loud. C did turn the TV on so they could hear the music that plays during HEA. D would call out the movies they were from as C and I watched outside.

I’ll finish this post up with pics of our view.

Clearly there is nothing “mini” about this Sept. Mini TR. But, here is our last day.

Day 3: Magic Kingdom & MNSSHP

Highlights:

It was another morning of getting up, packing, and dropping bags off to move to the next resort.

We made it to MK for our first FP which was Peter Pan. Then I believe we did Small World and Carousel.

IMG_6410.jpg IMG_6411.jpg

After looking back through the pictures, I believe Splash was our next FP. We were concerned that D was going to chicken out but he didn’t. We went to the FP line and told the CM that we needed to do rider swap. He had all 3 of us scan our bands and then gave C the pass. He told D that he could ride again with C if he wanted. We didn’t expect that to happen but you never know. D did have some anxiety but he made it through without a meltdown.

MK_SPLASH_20180921_413374243916.jpg MK_SPLASH_20180921_413374658299.jpg

I know we had other FPs and I have picture proof that we stopped for an ice cream snack. The next thing I do remember (and have picture proof of) was our lunch ADR.

IMG_6412.jpg
MK_CRTLOBBYCHAR_20180921_413376568353.jpg

We had to wait a few minutes before meeting Cinderella and then a few minutes after meeting her before being seated. This was our first time to eat here and the boys and I were in awe. The boys were given their swords and I was given my magic wand as soon as we were seated. The boys were also given Wishing Stars (Which I have since glued ribbon to the back of and turned them into Christmas tree ornaments for their trees).

We were given a moment to peruse the menu and then we started with drinks and appetizers.

IMG_6414.jpg

I ordered a drink because it was included in the DDP, I did not really care for it. I tried to look up what I ordered but I can’t find it.

I forgot to take a picture of the appetizers but we chose: Charcuterie Plate: A selection of Cured Meats, Cheeses, and other specialty selections of the Castle, Castle Salad: Citrus-marinated Buffalo Mozzarella, Heirloom Tomatoes, Mixed Greens, Parmesan Crisps, and Balsamic Reduction, and Bite-sized Cheddar Cheese and Grapes.

C picked at his meat and cheese. I tried a bite of some kind of cheese that was awful. My salad was edible but I wouldn’t say that I was a fan of it. The boys picked at their grapes and cheese cubes which they would normal love but they were too busy playing with their swords to pay much attention to eating.

IMG_6415.jpg IMG_6416.jpg

Braised Pork Shank: Roasted Rainbow Carrots, Buttered Mashed Potatoes, and Citrus Gremolata I believe C enjoyed this.

I don’t see the one I chose on the menu any longer. I do remember it was very good.

The boys went with Macaroni and Cheese, of course.

The Princess interactions were great. G was his typical self - not wanting anything to do with them until they left. He completely missed Snow White doing this and was then upset and kept asking to see her the remainder of the time.

Day 3 continued…

He did eventually stand for pictures with the others

IMG_6418.jpg IMG_6427.jpg

Jasmine noticed that D had blue icing on the side of his face and grabbed a napkin to wipe his mouth when she visited our table.

Desserts:

The boys chose Build-Your-Own-Cupcake: Vanilla Cupcake with Cinderella’s Blue Icing and decorations to garnish your Royal Dessert. They loved this. D ended up eating most of the icing with his little spoon.

IMG_6424.jpg

C and I chose Jaq & Gus: Amaretto Cheesecake with an Almond Crust, Macerated Peaches, and Hibiscus Meringue and The Clock Strikes Twelves: Dark Chocolate Mousse with a Dark Chocolate Ganache served with a Raspberry Coulis. I know C loved his and mine was okay.

IMG_6420.jpg IMG_6421.jpg
But a few minutes after we got our desserts, I was surprised by this

IMG_6425.jpg

C told them we were celebrating my birthday to surprise me. :o Then G had to add some of his decorations to my cupcake, too, before I could eat it.

We were very glad we tried CRT. We loved the atmosphere and the character interactions. Some of the food was really good and others was just okay. I don’t expect us to ever eat here again, though.

After lunch, it was time that we could go get our bands for MNSSHP. We headed over by Mickey’s Philharmagic and saw others in line. It moved very quickly and we got our bands plus trick-or-treat bags with some candy already in them.

Then, if I remember correctly, we headed to the Enchanted Tiki Room to see if a line had started for Moana (yes and we know it was 2 hours too early). The plan was: If a line had started, we would get in line and take turns holding the spot while the other did things with the boys nearby. If there wasn’t a line, then we’d go do something and come back and check. Well, we got over there and asked the CM if this was where the line is to see Moana. She said yes, and motioned us inside. Within a few minutes, the doors opened and people started walking in. I knew something wasn’t right so I asked another CM and she said that the line will start right outside by the sign. She said I could walk straight through the tiki room and back outside. So we did, and we became the official line starters. The CM even came out with me to help us move our stroller to help hold the spot. She said that in about an hour, all of the strollers would be moved to another spot. Obviously, we didn’t stick to our plan. It wasn’t 5 minutes later that some other guests came by and asked about the line for Moana. So, since G still hadn’t taken a nap, he and I hung out in the line while D and C went exploring. Unfortunately G never did go to sleep. He was so cranky but there was just too much going on. We did chat with the family right behind us for a while. They also had a toddler that was behaving much better than G.

Around 5:15, we took turns changing into our costumes at the nearby restrooms. We ended up leaving off G’s vest because it was so hot. Shortly after we were changed they let us inside the que to wait for Moana. We didn’t wait there but maybe 5 or so minutes and she came out. The boys were amazed.

IMG_6464.jpg

Then it was time to move on. So my thoughts on waiting 2 hours for Moana: 1) It was worth it. I didn’t feel like it was a waste of my time because there wasn’t anything else I cared to be doing during that time. It helped that C could take D off to do other things. I would NOT do it if I had to stand there with both kids the entire time. It also made a difference in that, we waited the 2 hours before the party even started instead of wasting 2 hours of party time to wait. This way we still had the entire party to do other things. 2) Would I do it again? If there was another character that my children want to see that badly, yes.

Next, we headed over to Jasmine, Aladdin, and Abu. I got in line with G for this while C and D headed over to Jafar.

D also got this magic shot

PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_413380496352.jpg MK_MAGICCARPETCHAR_20180921_413380699142.jpg

Sadly, by the time I got to the front, they had taken a break and Genie came out instead of Abu. We wanted both but we weren’t able to make the line workout that way. The family directly in front of us was able to make it work.

MK_AGRABAH_20180921_413380454499.jpg

During this wait, G finally passed out.

Day 3 continued…

Now is when things get really fuzzy. I remember we went through multiple trick-or-treat spots even though we had originally planned not to waste our time hitting more than a few. Every one that we came up on was a straight walk through so we went ahead. I have a picture as well as a written list of all the candy we brought home. I’ll post it at the end.

I also remember spotting Brer Bear and Brer Rabbit out roaming around. Some people managed to get them to stop long enough for a selfie but I never could.

IMG_6429.jpg IMG_6430.jpg

We also made sure to hit as many of the magic shots that we could. There were a couple that we didn’t get and regret.

Here are the ones that we did get.

MK_MAGICHHGHOST_20180922_413380753439.jpg MK_RIVERBOATGHOSTICON_20180922_413380784340.jpg MK_RIVERBOATGHOSTICON_20180922_413380784346.jpg MK_RIVERBOATGHOSTICON_20180922_413380835837.jpg

MK_ENTR_20180922_413382111212.jpg

Headless horseman – with C’s research, we knew where to look for this as we were leaving. We almost didn’t do it because we were so tired but we are glad we did.

We did meet Lotso. G woke up while in line for him so he wasn’t really thrilled with the interaction.

MK_BUZZGATECHAR_20180922_413381314374.jpg

C and D went to ride Buzz while we got in line for Lotso. The timing worked very well.

MK_BUZZLIGHTYEARRIDE_20180922_413381507363.jpg
C and D are really focused on hitting their targets

I’m not sure if the boys requested this, or if the line was really short, or what but we met Elena and Cinderella during the party, too.

MK_PFTHBLUEA1CHAR_20180921_413379576472.jpg

G wouldn’t let go of Elena’s finger. She walked with him over to meet Cinderella.

D really wanted to see Vampirina so we headed over to the dance party.

We also decided to at least check the wait for 7 Dwarfs. Originally, we didn’t have any intentions of spending valuable party time waiting in a long line for them. When we got over there, the CM said 30 mins (I think). So G and I went in just to see. We realized immediately that it was AIR-CONDITIONED! So I texted C to say we were waiting no matter how long it took. G and I sat in the floor and just chilled. D and C joined us after a few minutes. C said the CM told him it was about 25 mins when he came in. When we got to be the 2nd family, the dwarfs took a break. We were like “Take as long as you want. We are chillin’!” They were back in like 5 minutes.

The time in the air-condition was totally worth our 30 or so minute wait.

When we came out, I realized what time it was. The fireworks would be starting in just a few minutes. We had to get inside somewhere ASAP. So we headed back to the Carousel area. Right as we got there, they started. I ran towards Mickey’s Philharmagic knowing it was a trick-or-treat spot. We made it in and then asked a CM if we could stay inside until the fireworks were over. She said sure and told us they were showing cartoons inside the theater so we went and chilled in there for a while. It was so nice (also air-conditioned) and you could barely hear the fireworks. I hated that C and I couldn’t watch them but G was so scared. When we finally did come out, he kept saying “fireworks all done.”

I don’t remember if we did anything else after this or if we headed to the front. When we did head to the front, everyone was lining up to see the last parade. We managed to find a decent spot directly in front of The Confectionery on Main Street.

I loved this! Now I see why everyone says it is the best.

After it was over, we followed the masses out of the park, stopped for our magic shot, and then headed to the boat for Wilderness Lodge to call it a night.

I don’t think I’m going to do another update for our last day. Basically, we slept in as late as we could, got up, packed, took our bags down for airline check-in, went to Beach Club for lunch, crazily went the longest way possible to catch an Epcot bus back to Wilderness Lodge, was going to miss our ME, so we called for a minivan that got us back to WL right as our ME was loading up. Talk about an anxiety ridden last day. Needless to say, C’s planning is not always perfect ;).

Here's the candy we collected from trick-or-treating.

So that sums up my trip report within a trip report.

I’m debating on doing a new TR from our Marathon weekend trip in January. I did go back and journal about each day in case I decided to do one. The problem is having the time to do it. I’ll post a link here if I do decide to do one.

If you managed to hang on through my crazy reporting, thank you! Our next trip to WDW isn’t until December 2020. We do have a Disney Cruise planned for this Christmas but I doubt I’ll TR it.

Side note to self: Mini trip reporting is not a gift of mine.

Since alcoholic drinks are included in the DDP, C ordered an Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea and I ordered Piña Colava.
Oooh, I forgot I knew that LOL We are doing the DDP for our trip in December following our cruise! I love the Pina Colava!! Now I just have to remember it's included!
