Breakfast/Coffee at RP

Good evening,

We were last at Royal Pacific summer 2016. I seem to recall right by the lobby they had a coffee machine. Does anyone know if they still have it? I don't think it was free; I think I had to pay for it, but I don't recall a keurig in our room, which I understand there is now. We were just down the hall, so it was really convenient for me to walk down and get one.

Also, am I right in confirming that in a basic (non-club) room, there is really no breakfast option at RP? We'd have to either stop on the way from the airport or have food delivered (to have food in our room) or wait and eat in the parks? We are always ones that just get up and go - literally timing it right so that everyone wakes, and is ready and then we leave immediately to get to parks as soon as they open for us.

Thank you!

Thanks guys. I really don't recall having one. Not that I'm complaining Just wondering if that's why they had the coffee in the lobby. And we had a hard time navigating the resort so never found a grab and go breakfast but I'll be sure to look harder this time. We were very close to the exit and I think we were just lost most of the time if we went anywhere. There was something about the layout we found so confusing. But now that I look at it, I see it's where we may have eaten dinner one night .We just didn't think they'd have breakfast back then! We think coffee and pastry places! Lol

Orchid Court, where there is grab and go breakfast, is directly across from check in...separated by the glassed in garden area which is visible when you enter the hotel. So, you enter the hotel and go left for check in and go right for Orchid Court. Instead of heading down the stairs to exit towards the pool, you pass the stairs and there is the Orchid Court. It is adjacent to the glassed in area. They don't serve lunch or dinner there.

Yes, you really can’t miss Orchid Court at breakfast.........as damo said it’s opposite check in and they are separated by the elephants in the centre and it’s all glass partitions.........

OK, then not where we ate .That trip was a blur. And it was our first time to universal after many times at Disney. Was a bit to get used to .but now we're heading to just universal in Jan so that says something... Took another dual trip last fall but this coming trip no Disney. It's going to be a little weird for me to be in Orlando and not visit Disney

Orchid Court has always been a sufficient quick breakfast option for us at RPR. It's set up continental breakfast style, but you just have to pay for it before you sit down (its not free). The cashier will ring up whatever you have on your tray. But they have good enough options - hot items, cereals, pastries. I think maybe waffles? I can't recall exactly, but more than just basic light fare. There is also a table service breakfast with an optional buffet at Islands Dining Room at RPR as well.

I was worried about the lack of quick service too. I didn’t realize they had grab-and-go options. Thanks for the info schumigirl! You’re always so knowledgeable about the Universal properties!

Thanks for the lovely comments......appreciate it.........:)

It’s been a long time since we used Orchid Court for breakfast, but it is very good and well worth a visit......:thumbsup2
