Maxpass Group Question

I'll be going with a group of 5 adults and two children for one day in the parks in a couple weeks. We are all going to purchase Maxpass for our tickets. Is it better to link all of the tickets on one phone and have one person in charge of fastpasses for the day? Or can we link all of the tickets on multiple phones/accounts, and any fastpasses gotten will show up on all of them?

Our experience has been that having the tickets on multiple phones is all to the good. If someone's phone has a problem, having flexibility is a good thing. Also, if your group ever splits up, having tickets available to subgroups makes it a lot easier for them to access their own FPs.

I managed all 5 on our trip in August. If we split as group, I just took screenshots of the applicable groups passes and sent them to them. The readers can't tell if you are scanning directly from the app or the screen shot from the app. It will show them as used once they scan on the app either way.

We area going as a group of 14. My plan is for me to have everyone's and then for each family parent to have all their family's. And for all the teens to also have their own ticket.

That's a brilliant idea! My husband is one of those "not so good with tech" people (ask me about the time he modified and re-submitted an already accepted tax return). I know we'll be separated some of the time and I couldn't figure out how to prevent him from accidentally cancelling things.

You can do the same with your photo pass barcode. That way if your group takes a pic away from you they can still link it to the maxpass. I had the kids take pictures of their ride photos I'd they were separated from us too. I could add the photo numbers later when we were together.

Another option is for you to send him a text telling him what time his FP is for, and then he can use his paper ticket to scan in to the line.

So how does one link all the accounts together?
The tickets are what's linked to MP, not the account itself. It doesn't matter what account someone is using as long as the tickets have been scanned into it. So if you want to use MP on multiple phones you have two options.
(1) You can scan all the tickets into one account, and everyone log in to the same account. This way you only have to scan the tickets in once, but it does mean sharing your login info with the other members of your group.
(2) You can have separate accounts on the different phones, and scan the tickets into each one separately. Scanning doesn't take long.

So if I scan all the tickets into my account, will each person be able to have their own ticket? I also have a teen who doesn't have a smart phone, just a ipod touch.

Sorry, I'm not sure if you're asking if everyone can keep their paper ticket, or if everyone can have their ticket scanned into your account as well as their own. Either way, the answer is yes. So let's say you want to be able to book FP for the whole group from your phone, but you also want them to be able to book their own FP. First you would scan all the tickets into your own account. Next you have the choice to either let everyone log into your account (and then everyone will have access to all the tickets in the app), or have them log in to their own account and scan the ticket in again.

I also have a teen who doesn't have a smart phone, just a ipod touch.
You only need to use the app to book the FP, then you can use the paper ticket to redeem it. So it's fine that your teen doesn't have a smart phone - you'll just book the FP for them on your phone, and they'll use their ticket to redeem it.
