What time do dining reservation open?

Hi all,

I’m not new to making dining reservations but I am suddenly so confused. My 180 days is this week for making dining reservations for my May trip (staying offsite so must make reservations each day). I thought the time was 7:00am eastern but it has been opening at 6:00am this week (using the app). Has it always been 6:00am or is this just a glitch perhaps because of the time change this past Sunday? Just curious what to expect when I make dining reservations for trips later in 2019.

Thank you!

Thank you both! Ugh, I’ve been doing 7:00am for several trips. Glad I asked!

Yup 6am. I would say unless you are trying to get a very hard to get reservation (BOG, CRT, Cali Grill, Ohana - might be a couple others i'm forgetting) I think if you just do it early in the day then you should still find a lot of available times. you don't have to kill yourself getting up early everyday. I always stress myself out and lose sleep in fear of not waking up before 6am.

So far I’ve had okay luck. One day I logged on at 6:55 and didnt get a great time for Sci-Fi dinner but it’s okay. I usually only book for 4 so the time hasn’t been an issue, but I’m booking for 9 for May and having some trouble (mainly 50’s prime time, I suspect there are few tables that will fit our group size and those were booked by onsite guests).

Just keep checking periodically until you get your desired time (or close to it). I think with the way WDW holds off on releasing park hours it causes people to book more reservations than they intend on using and then once park hours are out, people finalize plans and cancel what they don't need. The touring plans reservation finder is helpful, so sign up for that.

The phone lines for ADRs open at 7 am, but you can start online at 6 am.

That might be the source of the confusion, also.
