BOG lunch time - can I get in early

Our experience with most Disney dining reservations, is that we can't get in too early before our reserved time. The exception being BOG for breakfast, they pretty much took us in as soon as we got there (about 30 min before our time). Is this the norm for BOG? This time, I am interested in lunch. Our time is 12:05, but that will make for a very rushed lunch, so I'm hoping to get in closer to 11:30. I am hoping since it's a quick service, maybe they aren't as particular on time.

Does anyone have experiences succeeding or failing at getting in early for a BOG lunch ADR?

We've been turned away from being 10 - 15 minutes early at lunch on a few occasions and told to come back no sooner then 5 minutes before our ADR. Sometimes you'll see people just standing around the check in area because they've tried to check in too soon.

Yup, that's been our lunch experience, too.

Breakfast is a different beast than lunch. For lunch, you will have to wait until 5-10 min before your ADR time.

So with ADR for Lunch @1
Should we still mobile order ? Or is that even an option for here
You can pre-order, and it will save some time. Not the same as mobile ordering, but usually more efficient .

Meh that’s ok I’m looking forward to sitting for a bit lol

Well, if you pre-order (NOT the same thing as mobile order for other QS), then you get to go straight in, pay for your meal and find a table where you can sit for a bit. If you DON'T pre-order, you get to STAND in a long line and wait for your turn to order at the kiosk before finding a table and sitting down. Pre-order is your friend at BoG.

How do I preorder? What’s the difference
Thanks so much

When you're within 30 days of your ADR, there should be a link on your reservation page telling you you can preorder and sending you to their menu.

Honestly I've found my last couple trips they have been pretty relaxed about it where as they never used to be.
I had an 11:30am ADR on September 1st and we walked up at 11:10am and were let in.
In February probably walked up 15 minutes early but ther was an insanely long line to check in so we got in it instead of sanding around.
Turns out most people were looking for walk up ADR's so the line moved faster because people started telling other people they didn't have walk ups so we probably got to the front in about 3 minutes meaning we were about 12 minutes early and they let us in.
I wouldn't count on it but it just happened to work those times.

We just went to BOG for lunch yesterday. Definitely recommend pre-ordering!! The line for regular orders was all the way out to the check in entrance! We zipped right to the front! I can’t imagine how long the people at the end of the line ended up waiting to place their orders!
