Please Stop Trying to Hold My Hand...We're Going to Conorado Springs! - A May 2018 TR *COMPLETE 11/8

Once we were standing on the little yellow hangliders, Kelsey said, “I hate people who get B1 by accident: YOU DIDN’T EARN IT!”

:rotfl: This is too real!

We went to Le Artisans de Glacier (If you have never gotten ice cream here, DO IT! You won’t regret it, I promise.). I got a single scoop of chocolate, and Kelsey got a strawberries and cream macaron sandwich. I

Omg yummmm

It had been a long time since I had seen it, since it got rained out on our graduation trip in 2017. I really loved it! I even cried a little at the end, and Kelsey certainly would not let me forget it.

I'm with you there! I love Illuminations. :lovestruc I'm excited for whatever comes next at Epcot, but I'll miss this show very much when it's gone.

So, of course, we call luggage services, only to be told that they can’t find our luggage.

Um, what?

Oh my gosh!! That's so frustrating. Glad they got it sorted out eventually.

We were both back in bed by 12:20, refusing to think about the fact that we have to go home tomorrow. :(

Aww man, last days are hard. :sad1:

"I hate people who get B1 by accident. YOU DIDN'T DESERVE IT!" Omg, this is me every time I'm not seated at middle-middle, which is actually the Imagineer's decidedly best row since that is where they optimized all of the visuals and smells and sounds and such. But yeah, only true Soarin' stans should be allowed there.

Mmmmm a blue raspberry slush sounds real nice about now even if it is so so cold up here in NY.

Awww, IllumiNations. It feels so weird seeing photos of it now knowing it's going to be gone soon. But it had its time, we ready for a change.

Ew, I'm sorry about the luggage mix-up that stinks. I know I had a similar situation my first time staying in my own hotel room in Disney with getting blankets brought to the room. Not fun staying up later than you must.

Excited (and sad) to hear about your last day! :mickeyjum

It was honestly so funny. We usually try to ask for the middle middle, even if it means we wait five more minutes than we would have otherwise!

Honestly same. It's been freezing here too, surprisingly, but that hasn't stopped me from craving one of those slushes!

I'm making sure we see it one last time in December, for sure! I am pretty excited to see what the new show is like, though.

I was disappointed, especially because we felt like it tainted our experience with AoA a little bit. We were just glad that it all got sorted out and they hadn't actually LOST the luggage completely.

Sounds like a great night at Epcot!! That's a bummer that you couldn't get the shirt you wanted :(

Ugh that's so annoying about your luggage! Especially when all you want to do is go to sleep!

I was bummed about the shirt, but it's probably better because I spent too much money as it was. :rotfl:

We were pretty frustrated, but it thankfully was not as bad as it could have been!

:rotfl: This is too real!

It was so funny, and honestly, true. :rotfl2:

Omg yummmm

I think this is the best ice cream on property (excluding Mickey shaped ice cream, of course!)

I'm with you there! I love Illuminations. :lovestruc I'm excited for whatever comes next at Epcot, but I'll miss this show very much when it's gone.

That's how I feel. I had forgotten how much I loved it until we saw it, but I'm very excited for a new nighttime show!

Oh my gosh!! That's so frustrating. Glad they got it sorted out eventually.

We were very thankful that they got it figured out fairly quickly after we called. Still frustrating, but it could have been worse.

Aww man, last days are hard. :sad1:

VERY hard! It's almost making me sad all over again just to think about it!

"The Bangs!"
Day 5

Our alarm went off at 6:00 this morning, but we had a hard time getting up after our luggage debacle the night before. :faint: We finally got ourselves ready and packed our stuff up one last time. We left our bags with bell services and made it out to the bus stop right around 7:55. Less than five minutes later, we were on a bus to MK!

It was around 8:15 or so when we made it into the park, which we were pretty happy with considering how difficult it had been for us to get up. We took some pictures on Main Street first, of course.

Then, we stopped in Starbucks so Kelsey could get some coffee. They made it with whole milk instead of almond milk the first time, so we had to wait for them to make it again. But soon enough, we were back out on Main Street. We decided that we would go wait on the bridge near the entrance to Adventureland since we had seen the welcome show earlier in the week. As we were walking across the Hub, we heard a CM tell someone that everything in Adventureland and Frontierland was already open.

Umm…..WHAT

We decided to check it out and sped-walked back to Frontierland. Sure enough, Splash and BTMRR were already running, and there was NO ONE around. Kelsey chugged her coffee before we walked straight on to Splash BEFORE 9:00! We pulled out our ponchos and took off on a basically deserted ride. As we started climbing up the hill before the big drop, Kelsey says, “Wait! The bangs!” which resulted in this lovely ride photo…

My face is always the most unattractive thing on the Splash pictures. Every. Time.

From Splash, we walked over to BTMRR and walked on twice! Our first ride was in the very back row, which was so much fun. When we got off the ride the second time, it started sprinkling, but it wasn’t too bad. We made our way over to Pirates and walked straight on to it, too.

Our next stop was the Haunted Mansion. Stand-by was posted at 20 minutes, but we definitely didn’t wait that long. Then, we were off to Tomorrowland to use our Space FPs!

When we got off of Space, it had started to rain, so we pulled out our ponchos and made our way over to Cosmic Ray’s. We decided to get the ten piece chicken nuggets to share, and we also got a strawberry lemonade slushy each. They ended up giving us 13 nuggets, which was more than enough food for the two of us!

After we finished eating, we made our way back to the Haunted Mansion to use our 11:25am FPs. :hmghost:

As we walked around and checked the app, we were kind of surprised by how long the wait times were, especially since it was raining. We decided to head back to Tomorrowland and hopped on the People Mover right around noon.

We took the walkway around the back to Storybook Circus and made our way to the Fantasyland train station. We rode all the way to Frontierland and got off just as our FP window was opening for BTMRR—our final ride of the trip. :sad1:

These are our “last ride” faces:

We made one last park restroom stop in Adventureland on our way back to the entrance. It was just before 1:30 when said goodbye to MK and headed out to the bus stop.

We caught a bus back to CSR and picked up our luggage from bell services. We filled up our resort mugs one last time before heading outside to catch our Tragical Express at 2:45. After our bus picked us up, it made one more stop…at AoA of all places (the irony was not lost on us).

When we arrived at the Orlando airport, we were both pretty hungry, so we split some nachos and got some frozen yogurt. We made it through security with minimal issues (though the TSA agents were all giving different instructions…) and our flight was uneventful. We crashed pretty hard that night, exhausted but filled with lots of magical memories.:tinker:

Thank you so much! It really is so special to have that kind of relationship--we've always said that we feel sorry for people who don't really have a relationship with their cousins because we can't imagine our lives without each other!
