Best Boardwalk Restaurant for kids

There aren’t any lunch or dinner ADR’s for Beaches and Cream. Flying Fish does have reservations available. Are there any places there where we can order pizza?

Trattoria al Forno has pizza on their dinner menu. There is also a pizza window directly on the Boardwalk, but there is only outdoor seating for the QS kiosks on the Boardwalk. Flying Fish is SO good!

Thank you! I think we will try to do as you suggest and freshen up at the resort before going. It also makes sense to do the cab on the ride home and not to. I was thinking if the Minnie van purely for the experience. I knew they were a bit more expensive, but is it still just $25? I’m guessing we could just take a resort bus from TTC to the Boardwalk Resort to get there?
The TTC is no longer a resort bus hub. There are NO RESORT bus from there. The transfer point is the MK.
Minnie Van fares are now $15 plus miles

Oh, Thank you! I didn’t know that. That would not be good if we walked to the TTC thinking we could take a resort bus from there.

I really like Big River Grille, I think the menu is better. It is more adult-ish than ESPN in my opinion.

I think ESPN has dummed down their menu and I am never impressed. I think the food is just ok.

Honnestly if you want to enjoy an evening at the boardwalk I really do recommend the hot dog cart, there also tenders all kinds of food available. Sit and enjoy the entertainment and go to amber hills for ice cream. That way you can enjoy the BW and NOT spend all your time in a restaurant. If you are on the DDP, beaches and cream is not a good value, maybe consider Cape May?

We had considered Cape May or Tratorria. Where is Amber Hills?

Check schedule for Beach Club activities. On certain nights they will have a bonfire where kids can roast marshmallows and make smores along with a family friendly movie shown on the beach. Inside is Cape Mays. Very good mostly seafood buffet.

Ample Hills is an ice cream shop on the Boardwalk.

I think it's worth it to know that if you're on the Bw, you are a 5 min walk to any of the Yacht/Beach Club, or Swan/Dolphin restaurants. Consider any of them to be totally fair game, they are right there. Swan/Dolphin are not Disney owned, so no dining plan credits can be used, but their restaurants generally get higher praise because they are not Disney owned/run.

IF you do Cape May go on a Thursday or Saturday because the OREO BON BONs ARE BACK!!!!!

Just a note on the Boardwalk entertainment... while the surrey bikes and carnival games are available every night, the special performers (jugglers, mimes, magicians etc.) are only Thursday through Saturday nights.

Do you happen to know roughly what time the entertainers start? We are staying at the beach club one night but have an early start the next day. Would be good to go early in the evening as have young (ish) children but not too early we miss out on the fun parts!

Not the person you quoted but according to Disney's Moms' panel:

You can find these live performers on Thursdays to Saturday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Big River Grille is good for families as well.....I just never eat there because we have it at home and I like to eat places I can't eat at home in Disney.
